Re: where to invest?
by

if you want invest, then you most ready for taking risk. Because a lot investment site (like HYIP, cloud mining etc) isnt good and scam (except if you join HYIP you can take profit if you LUCK). Gambling is good but its seriously high risk, you can get rich faster and can broke faster too. The way and only is good for investment is do trading, buy altcoin on cheap price, hold and sell it when the price is high.

BTC Doubler is scam, if you find paying doubler site, its because you invest earlier, when another people do deposit then you will get profit. Dont try doubler!
Not all hyip investments are scam .
Like example bitconnect its not sacm.
another very good mining example is genesis mining whis is proven to be very profitable.. Cheesy

Re: PLEASE HELP! BTC payment to Neteller declined but money never returned

They just replied from Neteller:

Quote
Thank you for contacting us.

Regarding your case, please note that the Bitcoin transaction will require manual processing which may take up to 3 business days.

If after 3 business days the amount is not credited to your NETELLER account, please send us the following information:
BitPay invoice URL
NETELLER TRN ID
date, time, amount
sending Bitcoin address
receiving Bitcoin address
refund Bitcoin address
Thank you for choosing NETELLER!

Kind regards,
Nikoleta
NETELLER Team

It's confusing because it says it has been declined. I'll guess I have to wait 3 whole business days, I'm using Bitcoin to make things faster........................

Seems like bitcoin payment is the slowest payment method there.
Neteller are very good and trust worthy company they seek very high fees but also gives you very good support so i donot think you have to worry at all.
Just remember if you have sent it to the same address as they given to you then you are 100% safe.

Re: Will Bitcoin be too big to fail?

on 03/11/2017, 12:18:59 UTC
After spending much time as a guest on this forum learning all I can about Bitcoin, I finally decided to join. Glad to be here and thanks for all the great advice along the way!

Now I have a question I'd like to ask. Is Bitcoin going to get to the point where it is too big to fail? The government bailed out Wall Street to avoid a financial collapse. Can Bitcoin gain the same status as Wall Street? The market cap is steadily increasing making it a big player in the game and I'm looking forward to where it is headed.

Thanks in advance!
I think the big players are still not in this game, they are stll observing but i am very sure once bitcoins price reach 10000usd or 20000usd they will be in this market and make this market more strong.
the base of my observation is bitcoins market cap is still 3.5x to ebays market cap.
That is so little ,and then there are more possibility for big investors for sure.

I am hoping with amazon ebay should also jump in bitcoin.
Paypal in ebay just sucks.
I am sure every user in ebay will be very much comfortable using bitcoin rather paypal.
Just an suggestion.
Also when amazon ultimately use this we can expect a boom in price.

No and probably never ,
The only reason is its already the 8th wonder in the world.
here are the reasons you can consider.
1.Its in internet you have to end inter net to end bitcoin.
2.not a single person is in command of bitcoin so people love it.
3.The big giants in the market already invested a huge sum in bitcoin they will do each thing and everything to protect it.
Simple.

Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear?
by

on 25/10/2017, 17:19:58 UTC
It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

I will say no for now,but yes for future.
No because the price fluctuation why someone will risk their money in something that have a huge chance to drop by .02% per second ?
This bitcoin price needs to be flat and one day when we will see bitcoin as a day to day used currency like any other fiat and not as a investment.
People will dump the banks.
buts its way more far from reality.

Re: How to prepare to Segwit2x and Bitcoin Gold ?
by
cryptorony
on 24/10/2017, 13:46:11 UTC
Should I stop accepting/sending bitcoins in days before / after forking, or wait some more confirmations more than 3-6 ?

If you only care about BTC, it shouldn't matter. There is supposed to be replay protection for Bitcoin Gold, but even if there isn't, you only risk losing Bitcoin Gold by transacting normally with BTC.

The real risk in these forks (if they have no replay protection) is in trying to send the forked coins. Many users will likely get those transactions "replayed" on the original chain, and if the funds are sent to an address they don't control, they will be lost.

I hope that in the future we have more simplistic coin splitting tools to make it easy for users to dump their altcoins without putting their BTC at risk. At least, I hope to see RBF and nLocktime become more intuitive for users, so they don't have to depend on exchanges/third party services to split coins for them.
your information is appreciated but a per i research some people are saying even i can lost bitcoins in this time due to replay attack.
I know bitcoin gold enabled replay protection but still everyone is scared i donot know why.
Besides one thing we can do is to send all our bitcoins to diffrent wallet that we have also control of and then use the previous wallets private key addresss to claim our bitcoin gold.
that old address then donot have any bitcoins though that have the snapshot so we can have our gold..Smiley

Re: Bitcoin Gold schedule Fork
by

on 24/10/2017, 13:35:21 UTC
Guys,

It is just me or others doesn't have the same anticipation on this fork as compare to Aug. 1?

The forum was full of anticipation on the Bitcoin Cash before, but I don't feel any with the Bitcoin Gold? Previously, I felt that the forum was lively and there's a lot of discussions on Bitcoin Cash before, and almost everyone is updating what's the current situation of the fork and what blocks are we before the fork. But with this Bitcoin Gold, all members just want to get this free coins and dump it hard. And some have even stay late to be part of history.

But why with this fork everyone is not excited?
I donot know about everyone but i am very excited about this fork and surely i am gonna hold my coins as long as i can for a certain ammout of time for sure.
But the reason for it not be that famous is because the social influential point.Like some of youtubers are completely against it and guessing this to be priced about 25usd or so.
but the truth is its already started trading about 400usd and more.
And in the next year its price will be jump up for sure.

Re: Do run a Bitcoin Core FULL NODE Now!
by
cryptorony
on 23/10/2017, 19:20:05 UTC
Greetings to all good will people!

Now, when the bunch of deceitful,  greedy,  incompetent,  irresponsible idiots and scoundrels from B2X (sorry for some harshness) are really endangering the Bitcoin,

All of us who are smart enough and responsible should immediately start a Bitcoin core (best of all the latest 0.15.0.1 version) full node client!

If until now you haven't started your own bitcoin core client - just do it right now!
Believe me it is so simple!

Personally I have been running mine for 3 months already.
For those of you who perchance are afraid of keeping money in a wallet which is constantly connected to the Internet, and even accepting incoming connections (be sure to turn this option on),  I want to say that you do absolutely not need to store any money in your Core full node client!

You may just keep somewhere offline just a key phrase for recovering your bitcoin private keys and addresses (your real wallet). Or you may run somewhere on another computer the electrum wallet,  or any other wallet that allows you, and no one else, have full control over your wallet's private keys.

In my own full node bitcoin core 0.15.0.1 client,  for example, I keep absolutely no bitcoins at all.
I run it solely for supporting the true bitcoin network!
The most important thing is that your Bitcoin Core full node should be ONLINE as much as possible!

(After you setup your Core full node do obligatorily check that you really have the 8333 port open and accessible from outside. You may check if your node is seen from outside here for example : https://bitnodes.21.co

Yes i know how to run a bitcoin core remotely but i donot understand why you are using this abusive language towards the b2x developers.
They are implementing something that they thing will be good for bitcoin.
Support them or not is your personal issue and  choice ,but please try to be respectfull, they are doing their jobs you do yours. Angry Angry Angry

I've never heard of this guy either. So he's some kind of Bitcoin guru? Does he have a lot of followers? Nice to know that he's so popular that people on the biggest Bitcoin forum aren't even talking about him. Or at least weren't until you came with this thread Cheesy
1 million is too much but people like him think that if it could grow by 600% in a year then it could as well grow by another 600% and another. It's an analogy that can be compared to thinking that if you managed to steal something and get away with it you can keep stealing and nobody will ever catch you.
probably you are wrong to estimate bitcoins worth actually it can be worth of 1 million per coin.If we put the world worth of money in bitcoin bitcoin can be even morethan one million. But the main thing is it will take time this technology is still in its early stage and we can have a huge future ahead.

It's good way to promote bitcoin but just make sure that most student already understand the risk and the usage of bitcoin.
In some country forbid bitcoin because it can be use for criminal activity !
I think if you say criminal activity will be promoted more buy bitcoin i will deny you the reason is because  everything in the world does not comes with a tag good or bad we the people use it for good and bad and thats why it become good and bad eventually, even we can use USD to do lots of bad terrorist activity its only on us how we use it .So bitcoin is great technology please donot be negative.

Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists?

on 20/10/2017, 09:49:57 UTC
On March 8th, Cheollima Civil Defense(CCD) released a video on its website claiming:” Han Sol, the son of Kim Jong Nam, and two other family members were met quickly and relocated to safety. “ And they receive bitcoin for financial support. http://news.8btc.com/bitcoin-plays-a-role-in-humanitarian-assistance This is something nice to do. But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?

Yes, it probably is used also for such purposes. But i would say in much smaller extent than USD. Yes i don't see anyone saying - dollar is a criminal money, it should be banned...
Actually any currency can support criminal activity if we want it.This is only as per our use.Bitcoin have good potential and some bad people are using it for bad things that doesnot make bitcoin bad.See its like science we can use it for good and terrorist are using it for bad effect that does not mean science is bad...Cheesy
