So the idea with Block bank is we can refer friends to this lending blockchain in the future for any type of loans such as home improvement, car or even real estate?

Yes and no. There are still a bunch of genesis addresses mining constantly. The contributions to the ART ICO will drastically reduce the supply for a brief amount of time, because all of them will be burned

I'm keeping some of the MNE and I'd like to see the total supply numbers adjusted to reflect the burned tokens. It should become a pretty low number and a good number of genesis holders didn't take this project seriously. So a number of coin will never be used.

I found changing the order helped getting it to find nodes and finally sync.

Now I've got the balance at 54 confirmations. How many does it take before it will start staking?

don't worry, I had the same "issue" and had to replay the transaction several times before seeing the balance.


It took me 7 Reply tries over 1 day and 15 hours but it just confirmed. it was a bit stressful because it's a few coin, but I get how frustrating it is having it say zero. And now how good it feels to finally have the correct balance in my wallet.

^ This will be the Achilles Heal of IOTA. Please, consider redesigning the client for ease of use and make it simple enough for new adopters to figure out. I know you have much bigger aspirations then us simple investors/users but, without us, there is little chance of real success. Make the wallet simple.

 

It is a bit unnerving to see the history have the balance of my coins but no balance.

I've done this process a few times now but it's just showing a new entry in the history each time.... but no balance.
Should I try a different node or something else?

The majority of people trading MNE are not even on any forum or pay attention to all this.

Listen you don't get this many pages on Bitcointalk or written up in online magazines for nothing.
And it's been said many times that MNE can stand on it's own without the devs because it was
created in such a manner.

In the crypto space, MNE is still small potatoes with huge potential. There are some total garbage,
digital crap, good for nothing tokens out there valued with crazy market caps and they did ICOs
that made the owners instantly rich. That didn't happen here.
 
It's so obvious the strategy of a FUD rucker....

They are from the competitors and probably paid or looking to get in a cheaper price.
Typically they use newbie accounts and completely baseless. Just report and don't interact.

So if the children can leave the room... the adults in here have real things to discuss.

I posted some things about the genesis addresses yesterday and would like to hear from the other
users and dev team on that topic. Because there are a number of users that didn't clearly understand
how to do the publicly shared genesis addresses.

Sorry been out of town but I see the new public Genesis addresses which is cool.

I see there is a lot of misunderstanding on how this all works and I also need to ask questions. I see the same answers
being tossed back to go look at the links. I've read the links in full but if you don't understand something then you
will be lost.

So basically this is what I can follow and correct me where I'm wrong...

Anyone can go to https://www.myetherwallet.com/#send-transaction and click on the private key option. Open one of
these accounts and if they have MNE in them then can transfer it out IF there is a little ETH in these accounts. So first
it's understanding this point.

Now to the issues...
- There are those that have bots that can do the action above and sweep these accounts of the MNE and ETH. Some
community members have found MNE in the accounts but after add some ETH - get it taken plus the MNE. So this is
where the idea of the fast one wins.

So to even think about trying to getting MNE from these Genesis addresses, you need to be aware that you need a
faster tool that can put in the ETH and swipe out the MNE & ETH in time. But even a few seconds off and someone
could get the ETH you put in.

Please clarify if this is how it works because the Genesis page is missing some key details that most avg people
will not get.

Correct, the setup of the token with Name, Symbol and Supply can only be done once.

I'm having some time delays because Etherscan is answering my questions but still has confirmed
the 2nd coin I submitted to get verified.

I submitted the form and asked a questions which they answered and I replied back if the token
name is available since this didn't address that. Then they replied back that it is still available.
It still shows unverified so I've emailed them back to request them to verify it as soon as possible.

I would think that would be obvious but just sharing the interaction I'm having with them.

Once I get the coin verified, I'll share some with other that are trying to get that have been helpful.
