a free market, and that market is much larger and smarter than I am.  We just host the arena.
I learned a long time ago that you shouldn't fight or think you are bigger than the invisible hand in markets.

You did a good work, well done! You seem to be learning fast with this project!

Thank you for your reply, I did learn a lot from the process, and nonetheless thank you all for the test!
Great project! Do you need more testnet coins?

I'll be direct and ask nicely for some testnet coins to test an end user application. I currently don't have the ability to produce a large amount of my own testnet coins. I know there are faucets but I don't want to feel like I'm abusing their service and I need a large amount but I appreciate every satoshi.

Why not just buy it through Altquick? that's only about $3 - $3.5 per bitcoin.

That works!
And I did the multisig challenge below with them too. Good to learn.

People should stop draining the "free" faucets  Roll Eyes and just go to the exchange directly, when they need whole tbtc testnet coins https://altquick.com/exchange/market/BitcoinTestnet

Amount: 1 tbtc
Address: tb1qxe3q894pz2yt25umwutslpt58l44qf6u4qngkq
Project: My org has a proprietary product for which we need tBTC to test it with. To be returned sometime in the first week of Februrary as the deadline is the end of the month.
Note: It's a network service with multiple cryptocurrency integrations, so we can't use regtest Smiley
PS: I do not need exactly 1 tbtc, but a large amount is required, at least 0.1 tbtc

These bots get drained, not meant for large amounts.
Sybil attacks are prevented by color=red]proof of work[/color]  Roll Eyes what a novel concept

But you can buy whole tBTC coins https://altquick.com/exchange/market/BitcoinTestnet

Is BitIDE open source?

Cleaning up the source and adding some tests, will be open sourced this week =)

Will appreciate the source.
But is the real testnet version of this available?

Hello,

As the first message on this post, I need some tBTC for a project. We can buy for some sats but we need something like 3-4 tBTC.

If you know anyone interested feel free to comment here and we can chat about it.

Thanks,

GaloisField

Before to all i want to remember to everybody that TESTNET coins are worthless and never supposed to have any real value.
They are worthless because you can not trade Bitcoin Testnet on exchanges but in aspect of Bitcoin miners and developers, they are very valuable.

In aspect of development, Bitcoin testnet help developers a lot.
In aspect of Bitcoin users, it is helpful too because they can practice with Testnet without capital loss.

More interesting, in aspect of Bitcoin miners, they have to spend cost, ASICs to mine Bitcoin testnet that actually has intrinsic value input.
You very well can trade Testnet bitcoins on exchanges, here's one: it's mainly an exchange for obscure altcoins, the original announcement is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111785.0
The price hovers around 3€ I've seen trades for a hundred TBTCs
I'm surprised more hoarders to do not offer more.

TBTC-BTC for the people: 0.000034-0.000035

Fucking bonkers that people are willing to buy Bitcoin Testnet for 10x what CLAM price currently is... I guess some would argue that it's bonker anyone is buying either har har. Tongue

Testnet TBTC are purchased for Bitcoin product development and testing (exchanges, hardware wallets, software, multisig, Taproot), all other altcoins -- for speculation/trading; I'm guessing.  Huh

How do you create a mining pool for testnet btc?
Why on Gods little Green Earth would you want to?Huh Testnet has diff so low that it can be easily mined using a CPU or GPU.
The idea of a pool it to gather enough hash rate that one can mine HIGH diff coins....
Considering TBTC is literally worthless what would be the point?

Probably for testing of your mining pool software.

I wonder if some people are trying to test developers' patience, and force them to start testnet4. But if they do, then maybe this time it should be automatically resetted, for example every two weeks, to kill those speculations about the price of tBTC in BTC once and for all.

Signet already exist though, which is centralized to make it more reliable compared with testnet3.

Multisig with distinct HW vendors is something I'm thinking of. Does signet allow testing of this kind of research?
How about for mobile+LN wallets?
