Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon”

I would laugh my balls off if Dogecoin became the defacto stable coin used for getting in and out of other coins. What a complete FU to the world that would be.

hahaha, same. His words will make DOGE more popular
I also saved some dogecoin, but what I see here, is McAfee really honest about his response? Or just advertising? We do not know what is happening behind the scenes. Such as not a setting as well, this is one alternative also to invest right? Maybe some underestimate dogecoin in cryptocurrency, but for another option I don't think it hurts

imo he might be serious and advertising at the same time, or just laughing but it could turn out that will happen

I am not sure if i got your question correctly, do you want a video game that features a movie or just a movie or video game?
One of the most powerful movies that I have watched is Chernobyl. It created me amazing feelings and I felt like I am living in the past and be part of this history. Totally recommended.

Same here, Chernobyl is a series which everyone should watch, no matter what. I watched it twice and I was just like 'wow'

Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency

this will bring a boost to the cryptoworld in my opinion. and will increase adoption of cryptocurrency usage.

yeah, it's nice that blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are more popular all over the world and awareness among people about that stuff increase. However in case of France which wants to launch their own crypto, it's might be just an experiment, I doubt it will have a bright future, but they can try

Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen
by

First thing which comes to my mind about using cryptocurrencies in crimes are money laundering and transactions on darkweb. It was said that from 2019, 829 million dollars in Bitcoin has been spent there. Security system which leaves much to be desired and lack of any regulations are the main reason, nothing will change without these key factors. There are associations set up to prevent such activities for instance Coinfirm, which recently expanded their offer by reclaiming stolen cryptocurrencies. Hope there will be more and more companies in the future like that one, which use blockchain technology to solve serious problems. If you want to know more, you can visit their website: https://www.coinfirm.com

Re: Where do you stake? Exchange or wallet?
by
dewin
on 29/11/2019, 14:19:54 UTC
Exchanges are meant for trading only, if you are going to use them for staking then you are in risk of losing funds.
You’re wrong at this point, there’s a lot of exhange that give you bonuses or rewards for staking specific coins at their platform. And if staking at exchanges means a risk of losing funds, then there’s also risk for trading there. Risk can be found if there’s a risky situation made by the exchange. Ex : Th exchange has bad issues regarding trust. There’s few of them, but issue stays issue. But regarding funds, issue needs to be taken seriously.
Even exchange with good reputation can happen so we might have chance of losing all our funds. If you want those bonus you can keep the tokens on exchange but its not safe to store that is my point.

right, exchange can be shuted down any time. it's much safer to hold funds on some cold wallets

I will answer shortly. Yep, such exchanges do exist and no, I do not trust them.

On the other side there are legit exchanges which don't require ID verification to a certain limit

Re: Have you ever been stolen or lost your BTC?
by

The safest way of keeping cryptocurrencies is cold storage, it's safe because it's offline. To me storing any data, password etc. online is very risky, especially nowadays, when 'Internet crimes' are very common. There are more and more people who are the victims of theft on the Internet. It's much easier to recover stolen money than reclaim cryptocurrencies... There are some companies which offer help in such cases, the thing is to distinguish it from a scam. I always look for partners, cooperations and background of a platform I use or I am interested about, like in case of Coinfirm, which can reclaim stolen Bitcoin ot Ethereum and are partners with e.g Binance or Bank PKO. Be careful for scams which want to fight with other scams

I think yes, it could disrupt. Take note, how many people use Facebook, almost 3 billions now so Libra has enormous users base at the beginning. To many people it could the most convenient method of payment. What' more Libra signed cooperation with 21 members e.g. Spotify, Uber or PayU... It is going to be huuuge

It is my first time to hear about tradenix. I think you don't have to choose them as the exchange because I think that site is new, and we don't know how good their reputations. Maybe you can try to visit binance because binance is a big exchange, and I know that many people here are trading on that site. We have another big exchange like poloniex, bittrex, kucoin, and else so you can try to look at it. I recommend those sites I mention, but binance still favored by most people here.

Same here, I've never heard about that so far. The key is to find trustworthy crypto exchange e.g. like these above, so there would be nothing to worry about. Do extensive research about them and choose wisely.

You have to decide, you want find trustworthy exchange, or exchange which doesn't want any verification? Reliable ones want know your data, KYC is almost everywhere. Imo it's much safer to use such platforms.

Damn, feel sorry for you. Storing any important data online is very risky. However there are opportunities to recover stolen funds by some companies. The key is to find reliable one like Coinfirm, they handles strictly with reclaiming stolen cryptocurrencies by wallet verification and are working on a new blockchain system for PKO Bank Polski- one of the biggest banks in Eastern Europe.

I have to say I read mostly crypto news on Twitter pages like: @cryptomanran, @coinpaprika, @ErikVoorhees or @danheld but I use websites like coindesk.com or cointelegraph.com occasionally.
