Hence this post. I'm trying to buy BTC quickly in large amounts and transfer it. The USD/RUB volatility was a long term call since RUB was pretty volatile this year. We don't want to hodl BTC or anything.


The banks don't really know. The international lawyers we spoke to said it could be one of a few hundred things and there's no way to tell. Most likely reasons being out of our control like unofficial sanctions, political climate and/or coronavirus related delays.


Could you tell me what you mean by a verified broker? We talked to a few Forex brokers based out of UK/EU suggested by mycurrencyexchange.com. They couldn't run away fast enough from the conversation as soon as they heard the word Russia.

Legit since we got them as payment for contracts with other Russian companies. They're in USD because we didn't want the volatility of the ruble to affect it, so we bought USD. They've been sitting in our bank account for around a year now.

When i say we can't move them its more that every method we have tried to move them outside has failed. There are no real restrictions on the money itself. SWIFT transfers to multiple countries have failed, SEPA transfers don't work. Using a middleman law firm didn't work out either.

As for exchanges that was my first thought as well but there are no exchanges inside Russia that we can use. We have verified corporate accounts in multiple exchanges but they all need SWIFT transfers to deposit money. If anyone has a suggestion for an exchange that we can deposit money to inside Russia, I'm all ears.

We have a few hundred thousand dollars of legitimately acquired funds in USD sitting in Russian bank accounts which we are unable to transfer to other countries. We want to purchase BTC and use it as a transfer mechanism. We have done small transfers so we know the mechanics. Now we want to purchase large amounts in BTC with these funds inside Russia. Caveats:

1. The seller has to be in Russia and have a Russian bank account since we can't transfer money outside. No SWIFT, SEPA, WIRE etc.
2. Have to use escrow. willing to take suggestions
3. Have to be able to accept large bank transfers from a business bank account. We have account in tinkoff and sberbank
