You do not need to copy the old data.idb file !!! (old data.idb file = you old pasword)

1) Uninstalled raiwallet and removed all files.

2) Install program wallet again

yeah I am going to uninstall it I have fully synchroized blocks I need to copy data.Idb file first so that i don't have to wait to synchronize again

I don't understand it can u explain it step by step what I have to do to recover my passvord ...I tried to delete lock from raiblocks directory but still face same thing and even I cannot import address because its locked should I uninstall it and reinstall and import seeds does it will work or not ....

Is there any way to recover password because I lost my password but I have seed code ...Can I recover my account because I am trying to unlock it but I tried many passwords which I could have entered but still it does not unlock....any other way to recover plz...

BTW, I've just installed raiblocks wallet 8.0, the sync process get stuck when it gets to block 1496811.
I take a look at the log file under C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\RaiBlocks\log, it always  pops up the error "UDP Receive error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"
I notice someone else has reported the issue in  https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/issues/188.

I try to set  preconfigured_peers to some IP address of the peers listed  on railblocks.net. It doesn't work.
