Re: Is Coinome trying to pull off a Scam?
by

Yes, the issue seems to present itself during night hours, I'm not sure if this is caused by power outage or other server related issues but for some reason, their system fails to sync with the wallets so they need to do it manually during the day. The support has confirmed that this is not a hot wallet/cold wallet issue but database sync issue. However, they didn't provide me with a further explanation and left the rest for me to figure out... lol

Hello, I was concerned the first time it happened to me but this time I was more relaxed knowing that Coinome has database sync issue during off-hours. I have received the same email just now and my LTC has been credited.

Hello, My original post was on 23rd Jan and it was solved back then by the support after waiting for almost 12 hours.

Last night I made an LTC deposit again and the same issue has resurfaced. At the time of writing this post, it's been over 5 hours with 100+ confirmations and yet there is no sign of my LTC at Coinome. The worst part is their support, the chat is a joke and the only other way is to create a ticket and wait for hours.

Deposit issues are not uncommon but Coinome should have made a public notice if they are facing issues with LTC deposits and at least revert back to their customers who are worried about their funds.

Is Coinome trying to pull off a Scam?
by
digitaltrader
on 23/01/2018, 06:14:42 UTC
Hello, So I transferred some LTC to Coinome and after waiting for 3+ hours with 80+ confirmations, there is still no sign of my LTC, not even as unconfirmed balance. I tried to contact their useless chat support (no-reply), Created a support ticket with all transaction details and screenshots (no reply). The irony is that when Coinome provides a deposit address there is a link underneath "view it on blockchain" and when I click on it the BlockCypher page opens and correctly shows my LTC balance, yet in my coinome account, the balance is 0. Did anyone face this issue? Any idea why Coinome is not replying me on this issue? Are they trying to scam me?

Re: Is Bitbay.net scam?

Sorry for reporting back late. I was able to get in touch with Bitbay later on that day via their live chat support and my ETH was instantly credited to my account once I reported the issue. I got a bit scared because this was my first time using them and I sent around 7 ETH, so not a very small money either. Now I see they have published a notification on their homepage regarding possible delays with ETH deposits, which is a good move, especially for first-time users.

They are not a Scam exchange and I'm happy to close this dispute.

Are you sure? Because these guys are listed in coinmarketcap (that's how I found them). They also claim that they have a physical office in Poland and local users have the choice to verify their accounts by visiting their office. Before opening my account, I had a chat with the live chat support and everything looked legit in every way. They also have their own debit card. In short, I was fully satisfied and sent some Ether there and here comes the problem!! Maybe I will wait till it's morning in Poland and if I still don't get any response then I will ask a friend in Poland to file a police complaint. I would like to know if there is anyone who used this exchange and has any knowledge about these guys?

@player514 - I'm 200% sure the address is correct. I have saved all the screenshots and etherscan is showing that the ETH has reached the wallet, however, when I log in to my account there is zero ETH balance, as well as zero under pending deposit. It's almost 3 hours now.

Also, the links you sent me somehow don't make any sense because I'm talking about polish Bitcoin exchange, link: bitbay.net

I tried to call their phone numbers but there is no answer, submitted a support ticket, messaged them on their twitter account - no answer. I don't know what's going on and feeling worried.

@BitBay - Hello, Today I deposit a few ETH to Bitbay.net but there is no sign of my deposit even after reaching 200 confirmations. When I go to my wallet it shows ETH balance as 0 and pending balance as 0 as well. Can you tell me where is my ETH?

Bitcoin is unregulated therefore its value has no justification. Given that Bitcoin price moves violently up and down in a very short period of time clearly indicates market manipulation. This is the characteristic of anything that is unregulated.

What is happening with Bitlish.com?
by
digitaltrader
on 16/07/2017, 04:50:42 UTC
So I have created an account with Bitlish.com about a week ago and everything was going well until today. Today morning I bought some bitcoins and placed a withdrawal request to my wallet. Since then it's been more than 2 hours now and they haven't even processed the transaction yet, they also do not provide any transaction hash meaning I'm not able to check its status on the blockchain. Is this is warning sign? Anyone else here using bitlish.com facing this issue?

Re: Is This A "Willy Bot" In Action?
by
digitaltrader
on 12/07/2017, 04:46:42 UTC
if it was a Willy bot then price would have been rising still!
the only reason why price stopped rising back in 2013 was because Mt Gox stopped woking and they scammed and ran away. otherwise it kept pumping it for longer.

we are not in a bubble either. the bubble stopped at $2900 and was corrected when it fell down to $2100 and recovered to a stable price of $2400-2500. this is only because of BIP148 split panic

Willy Bot didn't just work in one direction, during the last days at Mt Gox, Willy Bot was reversed to dump coins into the market to generate liquidity of Mt Gox and Bitcoin price crashed due to that, ultimately Willy Bot failed to generate sufficient funds and Mt Gox had no choice but to file for bankruptcy.

What I mean is bots like Willy can be engineered to dump coins into the market and once the Bitcoin price falls the person behind it can buy lots of coins and then activate the bot to pump the market, sell coins, make the profit.

The bubble that you talk about could have been created by a bot by buying loads of coins without spending any real fiat money and since there is not enough liquidity in the market to justify such high Bitcoin price, the result is what you call price correction.

Logically, the people who hold most number of Bitcoins are experienced investors and I don't see too many experienced investors selling off their positions as yet. I find it hard to digest that newbies are having so much coins with them that they are effectively crashing the entire Bitcoin market with their actions.

Is This A "Willy Bot" In Action?
by
digitaltrader
on 12/07/2017, 02:37:13 UTC
We all know how Mt Gox manipulated bitcoin price by creating "Willy Bot". I'm wondering what stops others from doing the same? I mean anyone with enough resources can easily develop such bots and manipulate the market as per their need.

Right now bitcoin price is dropping and everyone thinks it's due to the fear of what might unfold on August 1. Is it not possible that some whales might be using this situation as a cover up to manipulate the market yet again?

Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going?
by
digitaltrader
on 11/07/2017, 04:54:30 UTC
I think most people are selling their bitcoins as a reaction to the market, especially the ones who bought bitcoins when prices were low and are in good profit. It's quite possible that the initial dip on Sunday was due to few whales selling off their coins until August 1 and others are reacting to it by cashing out their coins. It's comparable to the situation when you bet $50 and it goes up to $200 then falls to $100 and you fear to loose it all.  Smiley

It was probably even worse that the dip started on Sunday (Weekend) and that probably didn't allow the price to stabilize and once it fell to a certain level then panic set in. If what I'm thinking is right we shall see an upward movement of price sometime later today or by tomorrow.

I signed up with Spectrocoin after looking at the great exchange rates on the homepage but once I was in I realized the prices are at least 6% higher than the actual bitcoin price and if I add the cost to deposit funds then overall the price is 10% - 12% higher. The site seems to be great though. I will be a happy customer If you can provide actual bitcoin price like Kraken..etc or introduce some cheap deposit methods with little or no fees.

Re: Paxful.com Moderators stealing people Bitcoins Codedly, Scam and Fraud Site
by
digitaltrader
on 30/06/2017, 08:19:16 UTC
I have always wondered why Paxful don't require ID verification before allowing someone to buy/sell bitcoins. I have noticed several times that a single scammer is using many Paxful accounts to scam people. There are listings on the Paxful website which are too good to be true (Ex: Sell 1BTC for $9000), in my opinion these sounds like open scams to me and I'm sure that Paxful is fully aware of that too. So why are they allowing such scam listings on their website? I have often questioned myself, are they a part of the scam if not then why are they allowing open scams listings? Once it even came to my mind that Paxful themselves might be creating those scam listings waiting to catch some fish.

I'm not sure if Paxul itself is a scam organization or not but I can say for sure that this website is a heaven for all kinds of scammers. I deposited around 0.8 bitcoins there and tried to sell them via Paypal (I know, it's stupid) and within just a couple of hours, I was approached by several scammers... I consider myself lucky that I managed to walk away without being scammed, the admins always decided the dispute in my favor despite the scammers trying their best to convince them. In any case, I decided to move out of Paxful and take my business elsewhere, it's too much of a headache and waste of time trying to buy/sell bitcoins there, even if the dispute system is functional it takes several hours to 48 hours to resolve one and coins are locked for that duration. I wouldn't recommend Paxful to anyone unless it's the last or only option available for you.

Is Remitano.com SCAM?
by
digitaltrader
on 29/06/2017, 17:19:09 UTC
I have recently signed up with at Remitano.com and made a few bitcoin buy/sell transactions, everything seemed fine initially but yesterday I tried to make a withdrawal in my bank account and their system generated an error message. I contacted their live chat support and they are useless, to say the least, all they say every time is it will be sorted soon. Now, 24 hours later, I haven't received my money yet, I asked live chat to give me their phone number so I could speak to someone and they gave me a number which does not exist. All these events are setting up warning signs in my mind. Are they Scammers? Anyone facing a similar situation?

Update: I just Received my money from Remitano. It seems their system was down and now its back up running again.
