so what is the solution, what is the megacoin community considering doing to solve this problem? maybe a fork? POS? there has to be something as a viable path before people will even consider going down that path, maybe if we had a group working on ideas for a solution the money would come forward to pay someone to solve this, if it takes that, though I would say we need to maybe have others have a hard look at this too, once done to make sure it is not going to be blamed for being a backdoor to some exchange's cold wallets, like vern tried to do to look innocent in the situation over craptsy.
Rumour has it BTC38 are going to revive this coin and a few others. They are already looking for dev teams and have a tender out
If anyone is still having issues syncing after adding in new nodes, try rebuilding the blockchain with the reindex flag. Just add -reindex to the end of the target path of your datacoin shortcut \datacoin -qt.exe -reindex
I am still on a quest for a new exchange. Surprisingly BTER has responded quickly to my support ticket Seems like a no at this stage but Ill keep on prodding them
If anyone here is feeling wealthy I hear CoinExchange.io is adding coins for 0.25 BTC The exchange is starting to get decent volume and has few currency pairings so it might be worth investigating further
Does anyone have any active nodes they can give me ie. addnodes? It seems dtc.graymines.net recently went offline which was what I used to rely on, sometimes I would see a couple of other nodes but my client can't find them either. bytestamp.net's block explorer shows fresh blocks so the DTC network is still out there ..
