Binance success place them in the top as this utility token really receives all the benefits after being successful in this field, there's some chances that
bittrex also considering to create their own versions of coins maybe the idea is there but the executions still in the process or still on talk.
Binance born at the right period and their team, especially CZ are very excellently run their marketing, give aways, airdrops, bounties to take over Poloniex, Bittrex. Years later, Binance has built its diversify products and utilities for their customers, which will help Binance to maintain its high position among crypto exchanges.

yes lots of shitcoin / altcoin die because they have no further development, as developers / teams in their projects have left and don't care about their road maps anymore and in the end make altcoin dead / worthless at all. and you cannot fully assume that it is caused by the erc20 platform? That is not true. because the erc20 platform has so far developed well, the question is how developers develop their erc20 tokens, because the important role in the project is the developer of the project.
Those projects die not only because there are less demands from investors over time, or their developers abandoned those projects, but also due to the high competition in crypto. New projects born every day, and by now we even heard about blockchain 4.0. Old projects, if not grown, adapted will be hardly to survive over years.

Alts are not dead, just now a lot of alts that are on the bottom, will change over time and alts will start to grow
Altcoins have not been dead, and they have on the way to their latest peaks, that they reached around end of April and early weeks of May. Bitcoin will shows its clearer signals of serious falls and corrections, that are normal because bitcoin has been in its reconsolidation phase. Within that phase, bitcoin will need months to finish, not days, not weeks; and you can imagine if bitcoin won't rise soon, how whales can earn money? Yes, they can earn money from altcoins.

I still believe altcoins have brighter future in the crypto space, although bitcoin will continue to dominate. The ones with real world usage and mass adoption will still survive no matter the challenges
Bitcoin domination started to drop days ago, so your statement is not true. We all know that whenever bitcoin domination falls from its peaks, altcoin season will come. That is what we have witnessed last few days. Yeah, I see bright future for altcoins in coming weeks because most of them will rise with their bull run season.

Bitcoin is always the market leader, altcoins will follow the trend of bitcoin. If we want to see the growth of altcoins, we need to see bitcoin grow strongly to its peak and move sideways for a long time. That's when altcoins will be pumped, with bitcoin capital to pour into altcoins.
That is right, and today, bitcoin has led the  market as it usually does. Bitcoin falls, altcoins rise; they mostly move in opposite directions. This is a very good real time example for bitcoin leadership in crypto market. Do you agree with me with the today example for bitcoin?

Even there are more altcoins or tokens that have much faster transaction speed, and more powerful capacity to solve and confirm transactions, bitcoin is a unique one. It is a founder (I think we can call bitcoin like this), the grandfather of crypto currencies. In brief, I don't think we should compare bitcoin with any other crypto currencies, not only NANO. Better than bitcoin, but what for? Because we don't need anything to replace bitcoin.

bittrex is in the USA, we know that USA is very opposed to the existence of crypto, it is possible that bittrex was not allowed to make its own coins in the USA. so that until now they have not made it
It is incorrect. the USA government just want to implement strict rules, and managements, laws on crypto. They will not be able to restrict or wipe out crypto currencies. Because blockchain and crypto currencies are future of human civilization, and the USA are unable to damage that revolution. They should make law managements, and also adapt themselves to changes in crypto.

Someone just has pumped hard this token. May be developers or some group of moneymakers, may be exchange... But it seems the end of pump as volume is going down already. Hope all small good blockchains will pump a lot too soon.
If you don't have EGT already, it is not a good time to step in, and buy it, due to recent pumps. I think that it is better to patiently wait for the price falls back to buy the token. Patience will help you and others have better or best price to enter; and being FOMO investors now are risky, too risky, IMO.

I just hold several altcoins in 2 years.
2 years ago my assets were estimated 1000$++ and now just 50$  Undecided
Yeah, your investment story discloses the fact that there are losers among investors. Not all investors will get profits from their investments. Now, let's tell us the truth, because I believe (from what you disclosed) you invested in so many shit altcoins with hope that they will rocket to the Moon. Unfortunately, the opposite scenario happened, and you got losses.

but this is indeed a fact in the market, that the increase in bitcoin will greatly affect the increase in altcoins as well. there is still a sign of a bull run, so far only a small increase in stages from the first quarter to the third quarter. I hope the bull run will come in the fourth quarter and start a good market next year.
After long period of opposite movements between bitcoin and altcoins, from now on, I don't think bitcoin will play as barrier of altcoin bull run. Yeah, I meant they will both move upwards in coming weeks, and we will see highly expected altcoin season.

Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's?
by
ducdr
on 25/07/2019, 09:08:24 UTC
It depends on the exchange and the project of course. For example IEOs profit of the Binance is more than X5 - X10. But of course if you can join. I tried many times but I didnt achieve to join. My bad chance.
There is no gift / profit for all investors. In financial games, there are two types of investors, winners and losers. You will be a winner or loser, that depends on two things: which projects you invest in; and the timepoints at which you enter and exit those projects. Those rules surely can be applied for IEO investment.

ERC20 tokens are main components that contributed to the solid second position of Ethereum in crypto market. Ripple's market cap can surpass Ethereum's market cap at some specific periods, but Ethereum will definitely maintain its real second position, not only crypto marketcap, but also its ecosystem. If someone say there are coins can beat Ethereum and take the second position, they are wrong. At least, till there are coins that can build up bigger and stronger communities than Ethereum's.

Re: What do you think of ETH Price will be by end of 2020?
by

on 23/07/2019, 09:18:44 UTC
It is too soon to predict anything about Ethereum price in end days of 2020 (next year), because bitcoin halving effects have not come yet. The halving of Bitcoin will occur in May next year. We should wait till that period to see how bitcoin price moves and how crypto market reacts with this, includes Ethereum. There are other factors come from Ethereum itself, such as upgrades to PoS, and more things. I think that predictions should be made only before May 2020.

There are two types of holders:
- Well planned holders: they are people whom choose good projects to invest, and wait for low price to enter. Hence, they will not worry by holding their coins/tokens that bought at cheap price, and they actually know that there are very low probability to see those projects end as dead ones.
- Un-planned holders: they are people whom buy arbitrarily and stucked with their investments, then they have to hold unintentionally to hope that they might get their capital back.
They are very different kinds of investors. And the second type investors should be careful with their investments.

When a new hot trend occurs, investors can get lots of profits if they join in early days. But, when things expand more, scammers will find that new hot trend, and join the game. Proportion of scam projects in the hot trend will increase, then investors will have less chance to get profits, instead they will get more risks to lose their funds because they might make more mistakes by choosing poor quality/ scam projects for their portfolios.

Good, we have to really be patient because nobody can actually tell when the moment will come again for altcoin, I will only advice we bag some good coins with potential as we await the bull season for altcoin.
There is doubt that this year, we will not see altcoin season, but I don't think so. When hope goes away, and less people think of altcoin season, it will come. Looking back at bitcoin, there were less people thought of positive things for bitcoin in late 2018, no one believed it would rally to $6,000, but bitcoin actually surpassed $14,000 weeks ago.

The price of PRIVIX fell again, despite the fact that there are not much coins in sell orders. In total, by now there are less than 400 VPX in sell orders. I don't really catch reasons why PRIVIX dumped so deeply over the last three days. What happened? If possible, please communicate more with community members on what's going on with PRIVIX. The most interesting point is volume is very low, in total, it means the price can be pumped and dumped by very little effort.

It's hard to speculate we can only get the true picture if we can solve these scamming by using Ethereum platform, and the too many hacking that is happening in big exchanges, if people can transact safely and people are educated on how to safeguard their coins and trade effectively then we can expect a good price for Ethereum probably $4000.
Projects operate on Ethereum platform or non-Ethereum platform, they all can be scam projects. That depends on their team, not platforms on which their blockchains operate. The key point for the coming growth of Ethereum is itself, and its promised upgrade, that delayed from time to time.

Altcoin season will appear when we see such question appear everywhere. By now, we have not yet seen such massive question on altcoin season. It means we might have to wait for that sort of community signal appear in coming weeks or months. Don't worry because altcoin season will come.

To invest in Altcoin can also generate a lot of profits. Although the price is much lower than Bitcoin. With a large amount can also get a lot of profit. Let's turn on the calculator properly. Dogecoin is one of the lowest priced coins. If you buy a large amount, say 1 million doge at the current price of $ 0.003249 * 1 million = 3.244.02 USD. If the price rises to $ 0.0035 then you can get a profit of $ 256. I think the price is not too complicated to increase.
It is the same, ten percent of increases in bitcoin will give same marginal profits as ten percent of rises in altcoins. The point is such significant rises more often occur in altcoins, rather than in bitcoin. This is why invest in altcoins ATM is better than bitcoin.
