Is there some place to ask EOS development related questions? Trying to work a bit with the RPC endpoints but some of the documentation is lacking. This thread has some links on the first page but no Discord or such. Telegram is full of noise..

I'm not sure about this coin. There is a clear mistake every day. People can't even laugh at the block chain.
With all of their developers, you think they have some simple and basic things to keep the blockchain up to 100%.

I have had no issues with the blockchain, but the Discord is very active if you have issues.

buckpool.site is still down (except website) and seems to be having issues lately. network hash is 200ksol+ again. maybe this helps spread the hash a bit when buckpool.site comes back up..

I am now much more positive towards the project, and I see progress in decreasing concentration of capital (which can be easily spoofed though), however I am not a C++ developer which majority of people here aren't, and can only barely understand comments in the code. I think I will speak on behalf of the lay community with the following:
0) Show me where I can learn more about the things I don't know nothing about, duh! Your website has almost no useful information, which is a huge negative thing.
0.1) Who the hell are 25 guys controlling 50% of capital?? (Please label known pools/exchanges in explorer)
1) Show me the team!
2) Show me the idea (why the world needs your coin?). Whitepepper maybe?
3) Show me the plan for future development
Right now it feels like it's just couple dudes just want to make a blockchain with not yet seen combo of six random hashing algos (and name it precious) without any idea why except put it on the exchanges and hope it will for some reason appreciate in value and make quick buck from selling it.

I'd much rather say positive things, but can you defend your project against substantial negative things that I say?
The best organic way to growth that you are looking for is to explain what your project is about, and how is it different, and what is its vision for the future. This will attract excited preachers.
You have some very good questions there. Unfortunately, there is no answer and I guess there will not be. I asked similarly before what use case does POLY have (the idea). No answer either. Like you say, it looks like a combo of six random hashing algos with no other reason but to make yourself some quick bucks. The same goes for the PolyShield Masternode service (I asked about this before). They get people to donate their coins for masternodes, take the rewards for themselves and give out the useless POLY in return. This is what is seems like anyway, no reply as I asked before.
The people running this are obviously smart, otherwise they would not be able to set all this up, and run the money machine successfully. So don't see any reason for lack of reasonable responses. And the plan seems to have been very successful. I am off to other things, seen too many things like this already in crypto, they never ended good. Too many flags. But thanks for all the efforts..

I use poly.suprnova.cc for a pool. There is another pool listed on the first page of this thread, run by the coin dev. Suprnova is there also, just with much smaller font. There are some other pools listed through this thread but not sure if they are still active on POLY.

I agree the coin could use some improved communications.
If someone has a concern about Github, maybe someone could give an answer to why is there nothing happening on Github? If your only answer is to flame the person asking, it only seems like dodging all questions and criticism. Raises more concern.
Also, I asked before and still have no answer, does POLY have some use case? I like the idea of the Polyshield service (shared masternodes). But if you ask people to contribute their MN coins for a shared MN, then give them back POLY instead of the MN coin as reward, why should they? Seems more like someone wants to pocket the MN rewards themselves.

Have mined a little POLY and looked at the PolyShield service. Looks like an interesting and very useful service.
What I did not quite get is what is the benefit of having POLY? The service description says you can get POLY or MN coins for participating. But does POLY have some use on this service (or otherwise)? -> What would be the reason to accumulate it from PolyShield or otherwise?

As confirmed on the previous page they will go to bittrex very soon. Binance hopefully after that! Does someone have an actual link to something confirming bittrex? I don't see any confirmation on previous page. Only a question and an answer that states they will try to do it after swap. That is no confirmation of it actually happening. Something about an interview but cannot find any recent interview or any mention of bittrex. A question in telegram about bittrex but no answer.

At the current rate you're basically buying into an expected market cap of nearly 1 billion USD. Much fun with that.
Yeah I think I don't quite understand the financials here. The soft cap seems to be 40M USD. Seems somehow high for me without clear budgets. But more impressive, if the 20% team allocation is of the total number of tokens, how much is that? A few hundred million USD? Just to split between friends?
The exchanges? Wording is "exchanges like.." so nothing really confirmed but not going to say it?
The token gives you what? If you have 1000+ FIT then you can borrow something through their website but it has no other value?
There is a team, whitepaper, stuffs, ... not looking entirely bad but not quite convinced either.
How about just stay in BTC? Do you think the 2x fork will affect the price of BTC? The other forks didn't do much to the price why would this one?
Because this time 2X says it's the real Bitcoin. Its not like the others which just create a new currency. 2X wants to be THE BITCOIN. the conflict u can read everywhereYes I find this to be very confusing. If majority of miners (or hashpower) supports 2x, and if many major bitcoin companies do, what will actually happen after the segwit2x? Will BTC drop in value and 2x rise? If you buy alts now, what will you trade them for after? Or is it just better to hold your BTC and get some matching B2X? This was not a problem with bitcoin cash or bitcoin gold. Really confusing to think what next..

Are we seeing a sell off in the Altcoin market again due to BTC and everyone wanting their 'free money'?
Seems most Altcoins are almost at the bottom of their cycles, is this due to people selling back into BTC? I'm also aware there is a lot more competition out there with all the ICO's.
Could this continue all the way through October and November until BTC stabilises? Then there could be a huge upside, better leave Alts and wait?
What is your strategy going forward?

Well, I am pretty much newb at this as well but still find myself wondering about this now. Most alts are down very much last few weeks. Seems to make sense to me that people would have sold on the news about getting free Bitcoin Gold. Either to get the free coins or on the expectation of everyone else doing it and prices going down. Now I am not sure how much more there will be drop before these events, so not sure whether to sell some at the dipped prices or just wait until after and see. Should probably follow these news better to react in time..
Musk may be quite creative and great at selling ideas to people, but the fanboy-ism from lots of people is cringeworthy. With the amount of funding and subsidies that he gets (and burns through), many people would be able to try out as many ideas as he has.
Given the funding and everything pre-made, with a great team, perhaps. But building the vision and ideas, getting that funding and subsidies, building the teams, leading them to "victory". Not so much. I am just a semi-fanboy here, think he does some great things and often makes a lot of sense. But I am sure there is always more to the story..
Now if he were to get into crypto, and given a chance I would definitely jump on it. But then so would too many others and I'd be late again
