Re: BITCOINRUSH CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK - Best Margins - Est. 2013

I am incredibly frustrated with this site  Huh

I make NFL bets every week but half of my bets don't go through, I just get an error message that says "failed to submit bet" with no explanation as to what I did wrong. I try to place the same bet again a few hours later and then it works. I don't know if this is a glitch or just a way for the casino to limit my action as I have been winning lately.

What happen to the bets which do not go through ? The money which you bet is credited back to your account ?
I think you should try to contact support if not already did so  or maybe you need to check your own internet connection, if slow net is the reason for timeout.

I don't lose the money, but if I am not able to get my bet in before kickoff I can't bet that game and I lose out on the action. Also, I just want to be able to log in, place my bets, and log out. I don't want to spend hours on the site just to place a handful of bets.

Anyone know any good sportsbook alternatives I can go to when BitcoinRush is dicking me around?

BitcoinRush.io withdrawal issues?
by

I have been betting on NFL games this season on BitcoinRush.io @casinobitco . I have had a winning season and I wasn't planning on betting any more games this season so I decided to withdraw the remaining amount I had on the site 0.185 BTC. I requested the withdrawal on 12/25/18. This is 5 days later now and still no withdrawal. It is showing up an "pending" on their site. I sent them 3 emails asking for an update on when the money will be sent and I haven't gotten a single response, not even an acknowledgement that they have received my emails. Is anyone else having issues getting their money out of Bitcoin Rush?  Huh

Re: DEA Agents in Silk Road Case Face Fraud Charges

What confuses me about Ross isn't whether he was sentenced to life or got off completely free. Ross strikes me as a pretty bright kid. He must have known that the Christian Puritan laws in this country would eventually catch up with him because he wasn't 12 years old and tried to hide his identity. He's not a martyr because he did try very hard to hide his real identity. Martyrs usually want everyone to know who they are and don't mind taking a bullet for the team. What confuses me is why this bright kid didn't leave America to run his illegal business? Why stay in the Christian Lions jaws waiting for the eventual bite? Makes no sense to me.

It makes sense if he really was the fall guy that he claimed to be.  Andy Greenburg said that Ulbritch had a mole in the investigation.  No, DPR had a mole.  If DPR was tipped off that the Feds were closing in on him, it is plausible that Ulbricht is just the fall guy.  As far as I'm concerned, the only thing Ulbricht is guilty of is trying to remove a spam post from the Silk Road forums.  30 years for removing a spam post.

Ross Ulbricht may get some jail time, but it shouldn't be 30 years.  Maybe a year or two.

Lol. Charlie Shrem got a couple of years and his charges were minute in comparison. He'll be lucky to get anything under 20 years. His only hope is if they can prove wrongdoing by the feds on an appeal.

Charlie Shrem did nothing wrong.  Ross Ulbricht did nothing wrong.  The burden of proof is not on the accused.  We are all supposed to be presumed innocent.

Yes, he created Silk Road, but he never possessed any of the drugs for sale on it (probably), and he didn't buy the drugs (again, probably).

Wrong. According to his own diary he kept he was the very first seller on there selling shrooms he grew.

Growing and selling a fungus shouldn't be a crime no matter what politicians say.

Those people would have bought and sold their drugs one way or another even if Silk Road never existed.  So putting Ulbricht in jail does not serve justice or help anyone.   Aside from making a website that specialized in drug sales, he didn't actually do anything wrong.

Not quite. I think you need to read up on the case and the charges against him. He also allegedly facilitated or helped to organize certain big drug deals. There's also the murder for hire charges and money laundering etc.

We now know why the murder for hire charges were dropped.  It turns out they were facilitated by a DEA agent (allegedly) to cover up his own theft of bitcoins.  This jury would have blindly found Ulbricht guilty on any charge that was put in front of them so I always wondered why they didn't just include the murder for hire charge as well.  Now we know.  Ross Ulbricht should have never been tried in the first place let alone serve jail time.  All the evidence against him is tainted.  The only reason he is in jail is because the government wanted to save face and put someone in jail in this high profile case.  They knew they were going to have egg on their face but they wanted to have at least a scalp to point to as a victory that made it all worthwhile.  Incarceration is a racket that punishes both prisoners and taxpayers.  Only the most dangerous of criminals need to be incarcerated.  Not Charlie Shrem nor Ross Ulbricht.

Re: Newer block has older age
by

Block timestamps are set by the block miner/pool. Since Bitcoin is decentralized, there is no absolute time reference within the network (and there shouldn't be). There will always be clock variations between nodes. The blockchain is all about consensus, and the protocol has a tolerance for next block candidates timestamps: they can be slightly in the future, and even slightly in the past, compared to your local clock and the timestamps of previous blocks already in the chain.

In other words, the timestamp is not a strictly increasing sequence, while the block height (of the main chain) is.

Thank you, that makes perfect sense.

Newer block has older age

I noticed that block number 348096 had an older age by about half a minute from the previous block 348095.  How can this happen or is this just an error on the blockchain site?

Suspicious trade attempt on Mycelium
by
duke1839
on 24/02/2015, 07:46:34 UTC
I had an ad up on Mycelium's Local Trader to buy bitcoins for cash.  Someone responded to my ad and asked me to email them a Gyft card and said that then they would release the bitcoins.  My understanding is that Local Trader is not set up for online trades and is for in person trades only.  I responded to them that they can use their bitcoins to buy a Gyft card directly and I canceled the trade.  I'm 99% sure I would have been scammed had I gone ahead with the trade.  Anyone have any similar experiences?

Re: Mt Gox CEO Mark Karpeles Implicated in Silk Road Trial

...they all said no but it could have been law enforcement from another team unrelated to his investigation.

It's terrible but that actually made me lol.

His main worry throughout the investigation was that some other law enforcement was going to screw it up.  DerYeghiayan was furious with other agents for seizing Karpeles' websites and meeting with his attorneys.  He was afraid to tip Karpeles off that he was a target in the Silk Road investigation.  The defense's story will likely be that Karpeles found out they were closing in on him on Silk Road and set up Ulbricht to save his own skin.

I was in the courtroom on Wednesday and Thursday.  The jurors appeared bored with the direct examination, most were fighting just to stay awake.  The exception was when Mr. DerYeghiayan started talking about what was on Mr. Ulbricht's laptop when he was arrested and what scraps of paper were found in his bedroom trash can.  The jurors appeared very interested those two times.

During cross examination the jury was awake and interested in everything being said.  Just from my observation the defense's strategy seems to be working.  You have an agent testifying about how he was able to assume multiple different identities online and take over the moderator account "cirrus" without being detected so how can they then argue that there was only one DPR and Ulbricht was it?  Keep in mind that Karpeles wasn't just a suspect, the agent believed he had probable cause to search Mr. Karpeles' email accounts.

The defense also poked many holes in the prosecution's case.  The agent did not know exactly when the buyers and sellers guides were posted.  The agent did not know when the escrow and commission system was started.  The agent did not know when the bitcoin tumbler was started.  The agent did not know when hacking equipment and software was first sold on Silk Road.  These questions seem to imply that the defense is going to, as they already have, readily admit that Ulbricht had a hand in starting Silk Road but it is these features that add the damaging money laundering, conspiracy, and hacking charges.

The agent also insisted that he thought DPR was male but he also admitted that he was surprised to find out that the original "cirrus" was female.  The defense also brought up how the price of bitcoin jumped up to over a thousand dollars immediately after Ulbricht's arrest.  Since Mt. Gox's trading bots may have been the reason behind that price increase expect the defense to make the case that Ulbricht was set up as the fall guy so that Karpeles could benefit from that rapid price increase.  This was not brought up in the courtroom but I wouldn't be surprised if it is brought up later.

The Bitcoin Talk forums were also brought up on Thursday.  The defense is going to say that Karpeles created the Bitcoin Talk forums.  And both the Bitcoin Talk forums and the Silk Road forums not only use the same software but the exact same version of the software even though other versions have come out.  The defense will also make the point that this software is not commonly used to make online forums.

Agent DerYeghiayan himself stated during the investigation that he thought that DPR had changed at least once and he was frustrated by not being able to be sure if the screen names he was talking to were the same persons throughout.  He even said "Who's on first?" at one point during the investigation.  He also noticed that DPR was offline for two days prior to Mr. Ulbricht's arrest which was an unusually long time for DPR to be offline.  He also noticed that there was an account called "PeaceLoveHarmony" that was sitting on DPR's profile for over two hours which was unusual behavior.  Yeghiayan thought that "PeaceLoveHarmony" could be law enforcement so he asked all his colleges if it was them and they all said no but it could have been law enforcement from another team unrelated to his investigation.

Re: why do people agree to pay taxes?
by
duke1839
on 05/11/2014, 08:24:17 UTC
why is it ok for a group of people calling themselves the government to force everyone to buy their services?

The reason is simple: you don't understand the law, and particularly the authority of law. For whatever reason, you have not educated yourself on this topic.

It has been repeatedly declared by the courts of this land (America) that an enacting clause is to appear on the face of every law which the people are expected to follow and obey.

Here, I will help you out; if you are in a rush then simply read the last page or the chapter entitled "Our Nonconstitutional Legal System", but do read the entire document if you can:
http://econcurrent.com/devine/files/08-Law/Authority%20of%20Law%20part%202.pdf

Get people to voluntarily agree to follow a set of laws or rules and get rid of all this murky circular logic.  Of course that would take the power away from government and give it to the people so this is why the ruling elites will never propose such a system.

Re: The White European should be praised for their actions concerning slavery
by
duke1839
on 23/10/2014, 19:24:00 UTC
In America, white people hated slavery because it undercut white working class people in terms of wages.  You can't beat free labor!  Whites also hated slavery because there were laws requiring people to patrol for runaway slaves even if they didn't want to.  Most of the people on forced patrol were thinking, "Why the hell is it my responsibility to look for runaway slaves?  Shouldn't the damn slave owner be the one doing this?"
