KR8OS - Marketing Analytics Platform on ETH Blockchain - Thoughts?
by
eching
on 04/11/2017, 00:55:05 UTC
MetaX (https://metax.io/) - AdChain
AdEx (http://adex.network/) - ADX
Brave (https://basicattentiontoken.org/index/) - BAT
Qchain (https://qchain.co/) - EQC / XQC
Papyrus (https://papyrus.global/) - PRP
KR8OS (https://kr8os.com) - MAT

MetaX is already past it's ICO but I haven't seen much coming out of their pipeline. Looks like they're trying to bring all of advertising to the blockchain.
AdEx also seems like they are bringing all of advertising to the blockchain/
Brave - a browser that limits ads or displays more relevant ads to you. I like the idea of having less random ads, but I don't think I'll be moving to a new browser anytime soon/
Qchain - ICO just started, but ultimately similar to MetaX and AdEx.
Papyrus - Russia based but also similar to Qchain to MetaX and AdEx.
KR8OS - This is the interesting one I'm looking into. They're not trying to bring the entire industry to the blockchain, rather they're building a solution that can bridge the two together. It looks like they're focusing on resolving attribution fraud for now, hopefully they can extend more to general adfraud in the future.

Thoughts?

I have to say this website looks really like a pacman game themed.....
Hm...it's not very representative of it's technology, I have to agree with that. Thoughts on the company itself?

This look like a copy cat project to me, the website is not well designed and the team to me don't have what it takes to deliver a sound and competitive platform. People need to understand that ad industry is one of the most competitive space

I don't think the website design will change my decision of whether their tech is good or not, but why do you think the team is not up to par?

I've looked through their Bios and they do seem like they all have a very good history in advertising. I'd love to hear more about your thoughts.

Re: How to determine Altcoins or ICO that are too good to be true?
by

Whitepaper, technology of the ICO, and team.

If their whitepaper is overly fluffed with no real content talking about their product, it's a red flag

If they do not have a detailed example of what their technology will be doing -- and I'm hoping it actually NEEDS to use the blockchain in some way -- best to avoid it.

A solid team, like a good idea, brings on a good foundation for the company to grow. Check out the team members and make sure they have experience in the industry this ICO is focused on.

KR8OS - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2322677.0 (https://kr8os.com) is the one I have my eye on.

Their team is very solid and they seem to have a legitimate blockchain solution. They are advertising focused and so they are thinking of using the blockchain to bring transparency on a very big gray-area in the media space. Have a look! Their presale is in about 2 weeks and they have a really good price for their sale period. Please note I work for KR8OS.

I'll have to go with the darkhorse of the bunch: KR8OS https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2322677.0 (https://kr8os.com)

The focus is to remove all the fraud that happens when big player publishers are creating new standards to reap in more money by taking credit for conversions (like app installs) and getting paid for them when they never generated it. I think the building a solution on the blockchain is quite brilliant, where else can you have millions of peers verify something for you. Note I work for KR8OS.

The pre-sale is on Nov 16, 20M tokens are released for the pre-sale. From the comments, 1 billion of their token will be minted in total.

Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam?

Research. No way to be 100% certain, but read whitepapers, talk to devs, etc. The less info you can find, the greater likelihood of a scam.

Totally agree. Check the Bios of the team and make sure they have some background in the space their ICO idea is based on. And also make sure their idea works with the blockchain technology.

Re: What is the most promising investment field?

Advertising ICOs might be interesting to see. There are a few out there but a lot of them sound overly ambitious, trying to bring the entire advertisement ecosystem to the Blockchain.

MetaX (Can't find their bitcointalk post) - Quite literally rebuilding the advertisement serving platform to the Blockchain. A little too ambitious for my tastes as they're reinventing the wheel onto new technology, but it's asking a lot for a technology that is still being researched.

Brave Browser (Can't find their bitcointalk post either) - A browser built to limit ads and/or show you more relevant ads. I like that they're trying to resolve the ad problem, but it's unlikely for me to move to a new browser unless my Chrome stops working.

KR8OS ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2322677.0 )- Eliminating wrongly attributed ads by having public eyes decide the validity of the traffic, you don't have to be in the advertising industry to participate. They're trying to solve an actual problem and I commend them for that. Note I am employed here.

Hey,
Have u checked AdEx? They have a very similar and interesting idea as well

Similar? not at all! maybe the most similar coin in market but those two are very different than eachother!

KR8OS is bringing something similar to AdEx, except they're trying to solve issues and not bring the entire ecosystem to the blockchain. If their product takes off, you won't be massively spammed by bot-generated ads anymore. Please note I work for KR8OS.

Take a look at KR8OS: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2322677.0

The concept is quite interesting but very specific, their goal is to resolve adfraud by bringing the advertisement lifecycle to the blockchain so there would be more people verifying the legitimacy of everything.

The team looks pretty solid too, all advertising people. Please note I work for KR8OS.

Re: Top 3 PRE-ICOs / PRESALES (early sales only, no ico's)
by
eching
on 02/11/2017, 08:04:30 UTC
Based on personal opinion....I have a very strange top 3 pre-ICOs, some of which are fairly unknown but had a solid team and a promising product.

1) IUNGO.NETWORK - because I love the idea that there is something out there that can potentially break up this current oligopoly setup. We're too dependent on current internet providers, so much that they know they can fix a price on it and we can't do much about it.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2196784.40

2) KR8OS - the underdog I'm rooting for. Their platform is bringing transparency to advertising to legitimize ad traffic. I may be biased as I am familiar with advertising mechanisms, but I believe it's something the advertising world needs. We're so used to thinking ads are scams or can lead us to adware that we forget ads are just simply ads sometimes. Note I am employed here.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2322677

3) TOTUM - who wouldn't want to be paid for gaming? This idea is promising and I hope, as a gamer, that it really happens.

Definitely worth it. My computer feels so much faster thanks to the increased load time, but I do have backup HHDs just in case something goes wrong...and for additional backup storage. Always nice to have that extra space around.  Smiley

Re: They are the silent majority.

I'm a 21-year-old college student. They say Bitcoin is an invention that will change the world and benefit mankind. In the past two months, I wrote dozens of emails to the leaders and celebrities in this field to try to raise money for my sister's surgery which can save her life. But they all choose a silent treatment, there was no reply. The same thing happened on Twitter. It seems that all they concerned about is how to fish for fame and compliments. Maybe this is the real world.

I think instead of asking for Bitcoin, maybe you should do a crowdfunding through Kickstarter or something. What you are looking for is a donation for a cause, you don't need Bitcoin for that.

Best wishes to your sister.

I'm a firm believer that fiat money, backed by gold, is not going to be leaving anytime soon. Bitcoin is a good substitute, but not on the same playing filed in terms of ease of distribution and acquisition.
