I work on contract for a first world country in Africa and I see exploitation of these people on a daily basis when I work there, so it is one of my major concerns, with projects like this.

I think you should work harder on your site, you should work on how the content is organized on the site and you should work on the colors of your site, maybe you should consult a good desiger and listen to his opinion on this subject. You can also put on your site the prices of the 3 main coins according to the coinmarketcap (I saw you put it, but this is very strange, so put it as everyone puts it)

Tether is a huge scam. There was an interesting article on Medium that spoke about all the pitfalls of tether and how Bitfinex is simply using it as a means to cover up their inability to provide fiat holdings.
If you need to move into fiat, don't choose tether, because despite it saying "USDT" it's not the same as USD! Tether is an altcoin, same as litecoin, except that it tries to stay close to the USD price. They have different tethers for different currencies... but all of them are scams.
If you want to convert your crypto to fiat, just send them to gdax instead and sell it FOR REAL fiat. That's the safest way.

Why do you want to keep the pay rate private? Are you planning to pay different rates, based on the contributions of people from different countries or would you have a standard rate for all contributors. It would just be fair not to exploit people from say 3rd world countries by paying them less than people from first world countries. I had a look at your site and it looks very professional and the choice for your domain name is 100% geared for broader discussion. which is clever.

he said that because he was forced to say it. otherwise he would have disappeared. Don't believe a single you see from the biggest jail in the world.
Not necessarily, to be frank. There is a tricky balance between the regulation and crypto development in China. Gov not really wants to wipe out. This is my understanding. One simple example is the top exchanges with Chinese connections, they are making worldwide money. Why should gov wipe out this?

I didn't listen to the entire interview but it really stress out some points that we already know. China doesn't want ICO because they can't control it, they are afraid that bitcoin is so disruptive that they need to step up early to curb the Chinese people going crazy about it, thus they might lose control because its decentralizes. So that's what we all been suspecting of why the Chinese government suddenly turn its back against us. That's why he decided to move his family in the States to make more money because he can't do it no more in China with all the crackdown. And the Chinese government doesn't care if you get out of their country because you support ICO's. He also said that you don't need to buy a lot of bitcoin, a good 1 BTC and then hold if not for you but the future of your kids.
But one thing interesting you mentioned is that the ban in China is not a real ban.
