Re: How do you deal with friends/family when they lose their investment?
by

If you tell your friends and family about Bitcoin without giving them any sort of in-depth financial advice and they go ahead and invest, how do you deal with it when the market dips very low and they silently blame you for losing them money.
tell them to be tough, tell them that in bitcoin win or lose is something similar

Re: Why use Bitcoins ?

Why use Bitcoins ?

I keep seeing threads on “why don't people” ? The real question to me is Why would they ?

-The average consumer will go way out of their way to save money. Bitcoins cost more.
-The average consumer will usually pay a little extra to have convenience. Bitcoin is less convenience and more hoops and complications.

I just cannot see any reason for the average consumer to use Bitcoins. Until average consumers start using Bitcoins they will just be an experiment and a small speculative bubble.

I have my personal reasons, I am interested Bitcoins them as a tech person, speculative investor and person that follows evolving treads and markets. I am just struggling to see any.. benefits for the average consumer at this stage.
because I believe bitcoin is an appropriate and promising investment for me

Re: Why Bitcoin Still a Good investment?
by

Here is a 3 Reason why Bitcoin is still good for Investment.

1. Bitcoin is Better Investment now  than it was in December
the Main Reason for this is the Technology Around bitcoin is improving. A lot of the Naysayers were Attacking the fact that Bitcoin has scalability issues
saying that Bitcoin is Expensive and it can never be in world Scale.
But now with the Lightning Network we can do a transaction Off the Blockchain "it Means Bitcoin is Officially Off the Chain".

2.Because It has A Regulations
Regulations are good to Bitcoin.

3. There are more Places than ever to buy Bitcoin in using Fiat Cash
Robin Hood, a stock trading Platform.

Re: Is bitcoin a form of gambling?

In traditional slots you pay a coin, and if a certain sequence comes up, you get some winnings.  I think everyone will agree that's a form of gambling.

In bitcoin, to create coins, you pay some electricity, and if a sequence of 0's comes up, you win some bitcoins.

Is this aspect a form of gambling?

And if so, is that illegal in the U.S.?
bitcoin is not a gambling, it's real like an investment, we can make certain about the value

Re: Is it better to mine or buy Bitcoin?
by

on 29/03/2018, 14:29:31 UTC

i think Bitcoin is only profitable if done at large scales. you must get expensive mining equipment and of course it consumes a lot of electricity monthly. Also it’s usually much more cost effective to buy Bitcoins with this money instead of using it to buy mining equipment.

I would prefer to buy bitcoin, compared to mining activities that require a lot of equipment, bitcoin only requires capital as much as we can to get bigger profit

I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

bitcoin really impressed me for having an unexpected value, today we buy bitcoin cheaply, we could sell it tomorrow and get more profit

Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency?
by

on 27/03/2018, 11:03:23 UTC

Seems many people treat bitcoin like an asset given how much it's gone up over the last year or so. But some academics disagree with that assessment. If it is to be treated as a currency, it will need to stabilize to be of use.

https://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/2017/10/24/nyus-dean-of-valuation-says-bitcoin-is-a-currency.html
as far as I know bitcoin can be called an asset because bitcoin so far is considered able to accommodate people's treasures in the form of investment, but I can not say that bitcoin is the currency because it does not have an absolute unit of measurement
