Depending on how complicated your passwords usually are and how many GPUs you have access to, you might be able to brute force it using hashcat or johntheripper, I think btcrecover might be able to crack electrum wallet passwords as well. I also see someone supposedly wrote a python script over GitHub called pwscanx.

None of these are going to have a simple guide, it's going to rely on you doing the work to get familiar with the tools, or paying someone who already has the knowledge to do it for you. Even then if you used a sufficiently complex password, it may be impossible.

Hardware wallets are way more secure than software wallets, even if it's Electrum. Software wallets are only as secure as the environment they run on. Hardware wallets usually have physical buttons where pressing can't be "faked" and they offer a secure environment where the keys are stored and the transaction signing takes place.

On the other hand you could look into Electrum's Coldstorage feature where you basically have two devices that run Electrum. One is used for watching the wallet, the other one for managing the keys and signing the transactions. I highly recommend looking into it if you want to use Electrum without a hardware wallet.

As a whole make sure you only use open source wallets. Because you never know what closed source wallets do under the hood.

By default, Electrum displays your amount in mBTC. Perhaps you re trying to enter the amount to send in BTC, which is 1000 times larger.

For instance, Electrum shows you have 1500, you enter 750, which equals 750000 mBTC. You should enter 0.750.

I would like to add; still not many people realize how much exchanges play a role in providing a clean, fair marketplace. Without auditing exchanges there is no way to tell if exchanges are insider trading or hedging bets against the market. Many people can claim exchanges are manipulating the market, but without enforcing regulations, crackdowns and audits, we wouldn't know.

Sure, this is called DCA investing and what most people do. Long term is the way. You shouldn’t try to time or trade bitcoin. Time in the market beats timing it and if you hold long enough you will never be at a loss, only profits.

Even 50 USD a month for last 9 years would be $5,400 invested by now.

He's perfect for government; he has many years of experience being a big criminal who says stupid things. They can't shut down Bitcoin. If they could, they would. But they can't.

They can only call it crypto and whine over CNBC, so that's what they do.

Yes, anything is worth it. It’s a good start but if or when there’s a pullback I’d invest a bit more.

If BTC wasn't valuable then price will fall. The long term trajectory on the charts are going up and to the right.

Because some people think of it as gamble and crypto is an extremely volatile market.

I'd only mine if there is no other way of acquiring Bitcoin like being unbanked or underage. Or if I got solar panels and free electricity. Otherwise buying is probably more profitable.

Welcome to the forum. Depends what country you're in, but:
1. Do not store your bitcoin on exchanges or webwallets.
2. Do not daytrade.
3. Do not invest in cloudmining (Most are ponzis, fractionally reserve mine, or charge too high fees = you will never ROI).
4. Do not mine until you have done at least 100 hours of research.
5. Do not invest your bitcoins in any investment schemes.

⭐ Merited by Hispo (1)
If you have a good amount of crypto that would hurt you if they were gone (like 500-1000$), you should get a hardware wallet.

Yes, you need to create a new wallet with a new seed, otherwise the benefit of the hardware wallet would be gone.

I trust Bitcoin for the same reason I trust math. I understand it.
Some people trust Bitcoin because other smarter people trust it. If Bitcoin was flawed, some smart guy out there would have found the flaw and let everyone know.
