Re: Do you think its now the time to sell bitcoin?
by

Every time I say to myself there is no way I would buy into bitcoin because it is too expensive, I look back a few weeks later and it is astonishingly moving up even higher. From $4.5k I was thinking this. I think BTC is a good long term investment for people that have spare cash to experiment with. For someone like me that is a small fish, I'm going to continue to think that it is too expensive. But more importantly, transactions are too slow for my taste after seeing the speed of many other alts.

Resume Writing Service
by
fade400
on 27/01/2018, 03:39:03 UTC
Has anyone had any experience with professional resume writing services? Which service did you go with? How much did it cost you? Did you go for a cover letter too? What about these linkedin profile makeovers? Did it increase the number of interviews you scored? What was your overall satisfaction with the writer/service you hired?

Yesterday I decided to randomly click one of those 30 second resume critiques and today when I got the feedback, I was surprised that a real person went through my resume and highlighted key issues that I can agree on. Or at least, they convinced me into agreeing. But I never knew that hiring managers use special filtering software to eliminate applicants. I have been writing my resumes myself for the last few years but now I am wondering if the playing field has changed and I should up my game by investing a little money. The service I saw was about $150 for resume, $200 for resume & cover letter, and $350 for the all of that plus one of their top writers. Another service I saw was quoting prices in the thousands of dollars.

What is a good price to pay for this sort of thing? Anyone have any recommendations for particular services they have used?

Re: How to get girls when you're not handsome?
by
fade400
on 26/01/2018, 00:37:21 UTC
I have found that it takes a lot of self improvement to attract girls to me. Also patience and faith. I'm really quiet so opening up with small talk is just about the hardest thing I have tried to do. But if I workout, find passion through hobbies and interact with the local community, occasionally someone falls upon me. More importantly, it is usually someone I enjoy spending time with because we are both focused on our mutual interests and not so much trying to impress the opposite sex.

If I were you, I would improve your odds by trying yoga. Lots of ladies in yoga. Every time I go to a studio or retreat, the ratio of girls to guys is at least 5:1.

But the odd thing is that once I am experiencing this balanced and motivated passion for a hobby that is attracting women towards me, I often don't feel the need to "get girls". It's almost like the needing feelings fall away and all that is left is content with friendship.

Re: do you have goal in life?

My first goal is to learn how to do a handstand for 30 seconds to help me improve my mental clarity and body strength. My second goal is to figure out what I am going to do with my life and how I plan to do it.

If by life, the quote means time, then yes. I think time moves in one direction. We are born to die pretty much. If by life, it means something else then that could be disputed further.

Re: To travel is to live
by

Traveling has been eye opening in several respects through the people I have met, the variety of the places I have visited and the realizations about myself along the way. But sometimes I am traveling for a long period of time, I question what I am doing and where I am going. I wonder why I am here and what I should be doing. So I have come to decide that traveling for me is not as important as is living in a foreign place for more than 1 month. Living on a farm, with a family or in a city with strangers. To become accustomed to my new surroundings is key to my happiness.

Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money?
by

Between fiat and crypto, I'm not sure. Between paper and digital, I think we have already come to this point in time where the speed and efficiency of credit cards have taken over cash transactions. If retail stores could stop dealing with fractions of a dollar so that I might never have to hold onto change, I might use cash more. If credit cards didn't offer lucrative deals on points and airline miles, they may not be as attractive either.

Re: Will religion save you?
by
fade400
on 23/01/2018, 16:26:12 UTC
It depends on what you are trying to be saved from. The typical thing that one needs to be saved from is this concept of hell. Still there are many ideas of what hell is and more importantly, when it can happen. If I think about the experiences people go through during their life times, hell could be now or it could be after death. And the extent of negative experiences are relative to the extent of positive ones. My suffering could be someone's bliss. My bliss could be someone's suffering. A dollar to me is a million dollars to someone else. In terms of what someone needs to be saved from exactly is questionable. Perhaps it is burning in a pit of doom. Perhaps it is mixed up in a negative tangle of one's own mind. Perhaps it is loss of ego entirely. In that sense, nothing can save you. And so can everything. Rather the context of what you believe you need to be saved from is what determines how you think you should go about being saved. It could be praying 5 times a day. It could be reading the bible six times. It could be going to the jungle to take Ayahuasca. It's up to you to make these determinations with what you observe from your own experiences. What attracts you and what repels you. What does your intuition say. Do you listen to it?

Re: How to trade without losses

Ideally I would say to take calculated risks with small portions of your portfolio and monitor those risky ones consistently. Cash in some profits to ensure you get a return on your original investments. Once you can eliminate your risk, you can play purely on profits.

Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea.

I'm a newbie too and I have found (as others have said) that it is good to develop a portfolio to start with encompassing a few different tokens for projects and technologies I have faith in. I follow the track record of those organizations from their twitters, blog posts and social networks. I check the prices and news often and have a basic idea of what's going on in the market. While you are working on that, you can look into some of the market indicators and day trading techniques. Perhaps from there it will be easier to go from long positions to short ones.

Re: How do you deal with loss?
by
fade400
on 18/01/2018, 19:11:22 UTC
I suppose a lot of it depends on how big your risk is in the first place. For newbies like me, my risk is relatively low and I go along to try and forget that money was ever available to me in the first place - aka .. it isn't needed to pay bills or put food on the table. For me, dealing with loss of profit or loss of an opportunity to make profit is harder to handle.

Besides that, also is highly recommended to have a bot investment to forecast, advise and apply investment strategies.

What kind of bot are you using to forecast, advise and apply strategies? Do you mean a trading bot that executes trades for you?

If so, what is the fastest way to rank up to a Jr. Member?

I don't think there is a quick way. To reach Jr. Member status you need 30 activity points. Every two weeks I believe you can acquire a maximum of 14 activity points by logging in and posting regularly. I was disappointed at first but it's a pretty smart method actually.

I hear your onions have to be in the wallet which is connected to your DeepOnion member account. They recently changed the number of onions you have there from 100 to 50.

if tomorrow $onion price will be 100$(or more no matter ) airdrop tasks will be harder or it is stable and will not change....

The only thing that would be harder is for your to obtain the 50-Onions your wallet needs to participate. Aka - it would cost more to buy in.

Re: Ledger nano S help
by

on 10/01/2018, 14:56:51 UTC
Have you set up your ledger according to the instructions (copied seed, set pin .. etc)? Be sure that you have copied your seed somewhere safe before updating anything.

You can check your firmware version by going to Settings -> Device -> Firmware. If you are running version 1.3.1, you don't need to do anything. So if your ledger is new, chances are it is already updated.

If you don't have the latest firmware, You will have to manually update your firmware by downloading the chrome ledger manager desktop application, opening the application once installed, connecting your ledger to your computer, entering your pin, and using the ledger manager desktop application to manually update the firmware. This process will wipe your device so be sure you have a copy of your seed written down before this.

Here is an official guide:

Gems Token.

Looks like they are setting up a microtasking similar to Amazon MTurk without extensive fees or annual membership. Earn Gems by completing tasks you sign up for and also earn trust based on your completion and accuracy rates I think.

Re: ☘ ☘ ☘ Cannabis Stocks 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
by

Yes! This is the next gold rush. I think at least, that is.

I gotta say, the cannabis investments feel like they are on the brink of a moon shot right now. The daily gains are continually going up a lot like that of the crypto markets. 5-20% daily fluctuations are rather frequent. When recreational sales in California initiated at the beginning of January, one stock went up 34%! Though a few days later, our Attorney General cried out on his intention to prosecute illegal operations under federal law. Stocks tumbled that day but the next day they bounced. I'm a little wary of this new announcement, but everyone here pretty much hates our governing administration at the moment and a lot of the news articles I have read so far seem to say that the industry is to big to stop now.

I'm interested in a few stocks in the U.S. but I'm more interested in some of the Canadian based companies. If the rumors are true (which they seem to be), Canada as a whole will legalize recreational marijuana for adult use by July 2018. That's huge! I'm seeing solid gains in ACBFF, APHQF, SPRWF, TWMJF and OGRMF and likely others. I would be interested to hear about other stocks people are looking at too.

Re: ICO researching

I'm looking at FiCoin, Teno Coin and Sether right now.

I feel like looking for the right ICO to get into is incredible time consuming. So many things to keep in mind. So many accounts to remember. So much time! Can anyone suggest their favorite ICO rating website? I'm using https://icobench.com/ but its hard to tell how that compares against the other ones out there.
