As large financial institutions fight cryptos, small banks are helping cryptocurrencies thrive in Europe. Many large banks around the world have opted to take a tough stance against the purchase of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This move has helped fuel FUD around the crypto community but a few small banks in Europe have opted to act in contrary to this and instead they are offering their investors access to cryptos without major hurdles with some also offering advice on ICOs.

The banks that are helping cryptocurrencies thrive in Europe include Falcon Bank and Vontobel, both swiss based. They are joined by Germany’s Fidor Bank and Liechtenstein’s Bank Frick in providing such services.

It’s interesting how currently the banking system is fractured. Due to their volatility, many major banks have opposed cryptocurrencies purchases and this is something that has been expected. Add the fact that they offer a direct threat to the existence of these institutions and you see why these large banks are not big fans of cryptos.

Speaking with the financial times, Edi Wögerer, chief executive of Bank Frick said;

“There are risks involved but there are also really big opportunities, we know what to do from a security perspective, so this is a big opportunity for banks like us.”

I believe Kraken uses Fidor bank which has also opened a branch in the UK. Here is some more info about Fidor in the UK:

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/banking/2015/09/challenger-bank-fidor-launches-in-the-uk-today-but-how-good-is-it

We should support these banks by opening accounts in them (which will also mean that it's unlikely that your account will get closed due to receiving money from an exchange).

Does anyone know of other crypto-friendly banks around the world?
Yes smaller banks are acting totally opposite to bigger banks and they just see cryptos as an opportunity to compete with bigger banks.Falcon bank and some other european banks have started to provide various services related to crypto currencies.

We could not totally blame them for the price decline.Manipulation is not as much easy as it was before when chinese manipulated the bitcoin market by just dumping their coins. But what could be said is that they just enjoy a price decline by further spreading FUD and adding fuel to the fire and not creating fire by themselves.

Considering a bitcoin owner of large amount, and he died w/o sharing his user/pw, Are those coins can be considered as deadcoin since those coins will not circulate anymore in the Network?
Yes that has happened already and its said that almost three million coins have been lost due to such reason which has lessened the total availability of bitcoins from 21 million to just 17 million bitcoins along with one million bitcoins of satoshi which too remains unused.

Re: Very Important Tips on Bitcoin
by
farhaan
on 15/02/2018, 23:22:33 UTC

VERY IMPORTANT message about #Bitcoin

Read carefully & try to understand it perfectly.

Example, if bitcoin drops even to $8k or $6k levels, you do not panic sell any of your Bitcoin or Altcoins, because, when bitcoin is done with its downtrend, Altcoins will rise.

And when Altcoins rise, your Bitcoin will get double/triple. This way you'll have more Bitcoins in coming weeks/months. Then again, Bitcoin price will Rise. So you'll be in huge profits.

Remember, Stock Trading and Crypto Trading should be done with INTELLIGENCE, Smart Mind, Wise Thinking and NOT with Emotions or Distress.

We are bullish on Bitcoin & Altcoins and we are not selling any of our coins.

Do not believe in Rumors.

Beware of MEDIA FUD, MEDIA always talk negative about Bitcoin for their own TRPs.

Forward this message to your friends and groups, Help spread the Genuine Knowledge & Understanding of Crypto.

If you do not help crypto community who will?
Very logical explanation. Its really needed for newbies who actually get panic on seeing even small dips and destabilize the market by selling their holdings.Either your bitcoin price  increases or else your bitcoin volume increases due to increase in price of altcoins.

Re: Is the presence of Bitcoin able to wipe out cash?
by
farhaan
on 15/02/2018, 23:15:44 UTC
As it is famous today. that Bitcoin is the solution to the weakness of cash. Many people are switching from cash and using Bitcoin.
If this continues to happen then the cash will be destroyed.
what do you think about it?
will Bitcoin be replacing cash?
what if the cash impact is no longer used?
No its not possible to wipe out cash completely as bitcoin has only a limited supply. Also it has a major drawback that it could be only used when Internet is available. Also uneducated people would not be able to use it as they are unaware of digital transactions.

NEW DELHI: A few days ago Citibank announced that it has banned the use of its credit and debit cards for buying cryptocurrency. Now, SBI Card has said that it, too, might take a similar course soon.

In an email response to ET Online, SBI Card said it is in discussions with Visa and Mastercard to put a ban on such transactions. Hardayal Prasad, MD & CEO, SBI Card said, "Given the government and the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) concerns around cryptocurrencies, we are activel ..

Drop them, that is the only way people like that understand they think they are all powerful, while a bitcoin user here and there is not going to make them change their stand eventually when enough people do it and they realize they are losing profits they will accept bitcoin, it is incredible they think they own us and think they can say to us what we can do with our money.
They think that they could dictate is. They must be taught a lesson by using bitcoins for more transactions. If there had not been issues such as transaction delays and high fee, then they all would have got a lesson by this time.

What is your favorite source of information about cryptocurrency news and about coins themselves? Do you go to Reddit or read medium articles? How do you filter and get ones that appeal to your investing interests? I find everyone has different ways of learning about crypto and I'd love for people to share with me their own.
I mostly get all the updates about the crypto world in reditt.

We could also get latest news from Coindesk,Cryptocoinnews.Bitcoinist,etc.

Yes we could see worldwide change in attitude of governments as well as banking authorities about cryptos. They have realized that they could not stay away but just to join and get benefit from the ride.

Recently the european central bank has said that its not their work to regulate bitcoin.

So we could expect this year to be great for the cryptos.

Re: How will a legalized bitcoin work or look like
by
farhaan
on 14/02/2018, 23:38:54 UTC
We could take Japan as an example in this concern as it has legalized bitcoin almost an year ago and still successfully managing.I don't understand why other countries confuse a lot about regulating bitcoin.

The only possible way for them is to either follow japan being lenient in legalizing bitcoin or to take a tough stand like china which is not a successful model.

by

on 14/02/2018, 23:32:29 UTC
Since last couple of weeks we see that bitcoin price is going down and down.
Is bitcoin price back to the normal and touch the highest by the end of the year ?
Is it again creating the new milestone?
Yes its getting back.Actually this is its real pace. But what happened previously is the unexpected increase in bitcoin price to 20,000 dollars due to the influence of bitcoin futures getting launched and bitcoin is totally out of its influence and so a steady increase could be expected.

Exchanges should not be selected based on the low trading fee they offer because many get caught in scam exchanges due to this factor. We must see the reputation of such exchanges and then decide about the exchanges.

by
farhaan
on 13/02/2018, 22:59:10 UTC
Don't you think if the news from China had come earlier like 5 years ago, it would have crashed the emergence of cryptos. I think that was the news that saw bitcoin heading downwards.
Whats your view?
Definitely china had the lion's share in cryptos especially bitcoin during that time being dominant in bitcoin mining.Chinese played  in manipulating bitcoin market as they wished. If China had taken such steps during that time, then for sure crypto market would have collapsed.
