The problem with the main chain is that it's currently mined on low difficulty, managing to make 3-4 block per minute, but still 500000 coins per block.
Is it was intended with the Dogecoin reward system.
The idea of 2.0 version is for the reward system only, when blockchain is currently on 0.00076 difficulty, the reward is also around 0.00075 coins per block.
So you get as much as your effort for the blockchain mining.

There are 2 different blockchains with different chain id but almost the same code.

These two miners mined block with 5 minute difference,  producing blocks every second with low difficulty from the blockchain.
Digishield update difficulty after each block, but I think blocks with earlier time was messing with it's 60 seconds window of hash rate calculation.

The problem was that old chain just stops, so it was restarted with the new chain id. Old blocks are lost. It's interesting why it happened in the first place.

As it turns out, not really stable.
It just stops yesterday for no reason after block 12299.
Node restarting does not help.
Also changing chain id made nodes ignore old blocks.

As for the mining pools - I think you must recompile new version with the new chain id.
