Grin

I've found this article from smart wallet and I thought it was worth sharing if this can help someone in this situation! Some of them are very creative I think

https://jordifarras.page.link/moneyfromhome

Checking the % that our savings account is giving us I really think that is another key factor that’s not mentioned..!

More ideas?

I agree with some post here, that freelancing is the best way to make money online. Aside from trading of course. But freelancing nowadays is in demand I think because most of the businesses are going online, and they can hire people all around the world to work for them. You just need to learn some skills and you can work as a freelancer.

It seems to be the momentum of BTC is going back. However, there is still a possibility that bitcoin may drop to 8.8k level for the bearish scenario. But for me in the long term perspective bitcoin is still extremely bullish.
It already happened before that bitcoin retraced and bounce back again and again.

Re: Downfall of dia data (DeFi)

Don't know what is happening at this moment. Most of defi project lost their value incredibly. Especially for dia data, the recently successful defi token, launched IEO a months ago. Then it was start increasing incredibly, ATH around at $5.13  Sep 02, 2020 (3 days ago) but its only $2.09 today Sep 05, 2020. Just decrease more than half of its value within 48hours when it added binance exchange mainwhile

It is not only happening on DEFI coins but in the entire cryptocurrency market. I think Defi is not yet over. And it is just the beginning of the new DEFI ecosystem. Avoid all of the shitcoin that has no value in the real-world and stick to those coins that have massive potential growth.

World is facing a new crisis almost last 6 months+ and who knows how much it will remain. For this pandemic outbreaks, economy is getting down in many countries. It's getting cursed for one sector based economy.

Explain your country's economy here by mentioning the sector which is getting down day by day for this pandemic.

It's the worst. The economy may go down soon and the health care system could not keep up anymore. Many businesses had been closed and many people lost their jobs. Not only ordinary people but some people in the music and entertainment industry having a hard time right now because of the pandemic.

Re: How to earn money with Instagram?

I am interested how we can earn money with I nstagram if we have enough followers and how much is minimum am out of followers which we need to make money.

I think you can only make money on Instagram if you have a massive amount of followers.  Influencers make a bunch of money nowadays from courses, paid promotions, advertising, etc. You should have at least 200k followers above. That is only my opinion about this social media platform, the more you have followers, the more you can make money.

Re: Are we at the first sell off point now?.
by

Just thought I'd remind myself how this goes and I reckon we're around the first sell off point or we'll be coming to that (we could still be up to half way along the initial rise and just entered the institutional phase). The mean I'd pick would probably be around $6000-8000

https://transportgeography.org/wp-content/uploads/stages_bubble-e1588097141686.png

I don't follow that kind of stuff, its better to follow the 4 stages of market cycles which is the accumulation stage, advancing stage, distribution stage, and declining stage. Right now I think we are on a distribution stage. But it doesn't mean that it will go to the declining stage automatically, the upward momentum may continue.

Re: How to be useful to the forum ?
by
fernquaker
on 10/09/2020, 13:07:47 UTC
Hello,

I was told by *someone* that in order to achieve something here, I need to be useful to the forum first.

About me and my whereabouts in the forum :

• I usually login and see what's going on in the forum whenever I have time to - read posts, think, implement.

• When I have more time to spend I sometimes patrol too and look at topics I got no clue about and see what's in it.

The issues I have :

• Even though I read a lot of topics, I am unable to answer to them, since either they have already been answered or that I don't have enough knowledge about the subject being discussed.

• I don't have a special skill set to offer some services in the services board nor am I able to make enough time to manage something like that, but I am looking into myself what I can offer so that people can benifit.

• I felt like I am being left out, it's been a few months since I am on the forum and my progress has slowed down drastically, I feel like I lack a little bit of something.

There is no doubt that everyday I am looking at something new here and learning something new, but how do I contribute too ? I don't really want to spam anything that already everyone knows. Also, I think a lot of new memebrs feel the same like me.

Calling out all the fellow members to share thier thoughts and insights on how to deal with this issue.

Thank you

To be more effective, you just need to provide good content and value to everyone who needs it. You don't need to be the best guy here, as long as you want to help in a simple way, that's good to go. I am a new member here as well. But I constantly share what I know to everyone. Its fun to help people.

What time do you go to bed? What time do you usually get up? How much time do you have for sleeping?
I heard that some people (like Elon Musk) sleep for 4 hours in order to have more time to do things during the day. Is it dangerous to health?

We should at least sleep for 6-8 hours a day. But people like Elon musk they don't do that, and most of the entrepreneur person. They don't live like an average people, they think that doing extraordinary efforts would bring extraordinary results. And that is why they are rich. But for us, we can sleep whenever we want and dream like a champion.  Grin

Re: Which type of trading you think is good?
by
fernquaker
on 10/09/2020, 12:51:22 UTC
I'm not going with existing theory. I have categorized trading as follows-
1. Based on technical analysis
2. Based on event news
While I'm not much expert in TA, I can achieve it if I spend some hours a day for a month I belive.
On the other hand, trading based on event news is pretty easy. You don't need to have much knowledge other than the capacity of ebaluating a project.
What do you think? Which method is good?

In a crypto trading environment, it is better to make your decision based on technical analysis. The market is driven by pure speculation. And we can have an edge on the market if we know to exploit the human emotions based on market structure. If you want to be a profitable trader, so don't settle for the easy road. Average trader doesn't last long in this profession. You better work your ass off.

Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan?

I am new to the crypto world. Im planning to invest in Eth because i have an instinct that this will rise up in the future. Any thoughts? Help .

Good choice. ETH is one of the best cryptocurrencies out there. The potential for growth for this project is high, and I think as an investor you always put ETH on the list. However, in any form of investment, there is always a risk. So you have to prepare yourself for the worst-case scenario. There is no certainty in investing so invest only what you can afford to lose.

Re: Poll: when will cryptocurrency go mainstream?
by

This recent article spells out the case for why 2020 could be the year cryptocurrency goes 'mainstream'. I have included a quote that summarizes her position. However I am more interested to hear from this group what you think and why.

Also interested in hearing what other positive or negative influences going on this year not mentioned that would impact mainstreaming.

Finally, will Bitcoin lead the charge or will other cryptocurrencies provide key contributions toward mainstreaming and why?

Note: You can only vote once, you can't change your vote, and you have only 14 days to make a choice.  Grin

Why 2020 might be the year cryptocurrency goes mainstream
https://fortune.com/2020/08/24/crypto-digital-currency-bitcoin-jpmorgan/
Quote
Cryptocurrency and digital money like Bitcoin are poised to go mainstream in 2020 due to a confluence of factors, writes Catherine Coley.

There are a few factors contributing to this change, and they are important enough that Americans should be paying attention. First, government payments to individuals and businesses alike are weakening the U.S. fiat (physical cash) system. Second, large banking institutions like JPMorgan Chase are condoning and even welcoming digital currencies onto their platforms. And third, more Americans are home, witnessing the discrepancy in the market’s growth and the nation’s unemployment rate.

Many people here said that cryptocurrency is already mainstream. Well, I don't think so. They may be heard bitcoin but they don't know what it is. For me, cryptocurrency is not yet in the mainstream. It still on the early stage, like the internet in 1994. It is being used by people but not the majority. Infrastructure is not yet been fully developed, its a long way to go.

Re: Is it possible to live without banks?
by
fernquaker
on 10/09/2020, 12:25:08 UTC
With the world's economy collapsing, people are looking for alternative safe-haven assets to use in times of turmoil. Interest in crypto has sparked a lot ever since the stock market went on a decline. If people decide to use crypto, precious metals, and physical cash, will it be possible to live a normal life without a bank?

In my case, I'd be willing to exit the banking system in order to have true sovereignty over my money. After all, that's what crypto is all about. If you could live your normal life without the need to ever interact with a bank (having a bank account to make transactions, etc), it'll be a blast. With the world shifting towards the online realm for e-commerce, virtual meetings, and more, it seems likely that people will be using decentralized money more thoroughly. There are still people using credit/debit cards, but that may change soon as Fiat becomes hyper-inflated.

What are your thoughts? Huh

You can live without banks, but you need to isolate yourself from the rest. In rural areas and provinces, there are some people that still unbanked. They can live without a bank or internet connection. But I doubt if you can live without the internet. Just in case you choose bitcoin over a bank, then you still need the internet.

Re: Legit trading courses

on 10/09/2020, 11:47:46 UTC
I'm new to the whole crypto world and i've been fascinated by trading in this sector. I would love to find a good program that can help me learn and avoid painful mistakes, but im finding it quite hard to figure out which ones are real and which ones are scams!
For now the two one that sound legit are the course from tradercobbs by craig cobb and Blockchain education which is highly promoted by crypto oracle.
I was wondering if anyone knows if they are legit and in case have any advice's on good courses!

You can actually learn trading by yourself. But it takes courage and extraordinary hard work. Unlike if you have a mentor or coach they can guide you properly. There are so many articles and books that you can find on the internet that would be very helpful for you. Because for me, even though you learn from the best trader in the world. The result would be different from yours. Because in order to be a successful trader it will always depend on you.

Is it better to keep good project coins for holding?
                                or
Trade in spot/ futures market in less leverage.

It depends on your goal. If you are long term holders or short term traders. You can hold a good project for a long time, without worrying about the fluctuations in the market. Or you can trade it for a short period of time like buying low and selling high. It really depends on you. Or you can go both ways.  Hold some good coins and trade some shitcoins.

Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin?
by
fernquaker
on 10/09/2020, 11:29:00 UTC
I'm looking for the easiest way to make old people understand Bitcoin more thoroughly. I want to let the elderly know about the "Bitcoin revolution", yet I find it quite challenging to explain it to them in a way they can understand how it all works. There are some wallets that have a "user-friendly" interface, but even the basics of sending/receiving Bitcoin can have a steep learning curve for the older people. A Bitcoin wallet with built-in accessibility features, could help even elder people with vision or hearing problems to use the pioneer cryptocurrency in their daily lives.

If you happen to know of a way to make old people understand Bitcoin easily, please let me know. Any suggestions or recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

It is really hard to explain Bitcoin to the elderly, it is possible and you need patience, but it is not easy. For me, in order to explain it simply, first they have to understand the history of money. Because they may ask you a question why the heck they need bitcoin while they can use fiat? So we have to explain first the problem and the resolution for the problem is bitcoin. Then after they understand the basic idea, then we can go ahead and inform them about the features and how to use it.

Like most of the people said here. Blockchain is not for all of the businesses. There are some businesses that will work better in centralized governance. It is applicable to a business that needs transparency, permissionless. Automation, financial, etc.

Re: I am curious about people's opinion of DeFi projects and coins
by
fernquaker
on 10/09/2020, 11:11:48 UTC
I found this article in Forbes over the weekend and it got me to thinking: If we are seeing articles in Forbes that means Decentralised Finance is reaching the eyes and ears of the masses. Question: Have you heard of DeFi?
If you have heard of DeFi, do you think its going to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar financial service industry or do you think its going to implode and destroy itself? Or do you think something in between those two polar opposites.

The process of DEFI is to transfer the traditional finance to the decentralized nature of blockchain which is DEFI. Where in all of the people without any sort of requirements can participate in lending, borrowing, savings, insurance, etc. Unlike traditional finance, that the participants are limited only for those who are qualified. Defi is still on the experimental stage, so it's still risky. But I believed there's a potential for this protocol to disrupt the financial industry. Bitcoin is your own bank, while defi will give you access to your bank in a permissionless and decentralized manner.

Re: Why are scammers everywhere, it is obvious online
by
fernquaker
on 10/09/2020, 11:05:04 UTC
Some weeks ago, I told two of my friends about bitcoin and how to use it, I tried to devote my time for them. The two of them like bitcoin  they were interested. I opened electrum wallet for them. After some weeks, it was even yesterday, a friend of mine contacted me using Whatsapp, he told me what he saw online, that it is even possible to double bitcoin online. He wanted to double his bitcoin, I told him that it can be a scam that he should send me the link.

Code:
https://bitcoindoubler.tech/

The website want people to deposit a minimum amount of 0.002 bitcoin to a maximum of 10 bitcoin, that in 10 hours the bitcoin will double. I told him immediately not to do it that it is a scam. I would have blamed myself for telling my friends about bitcoin, but I was happy because he did not send his bitcoin but told me about it before doing anything. But why are scam very obvious now, some are even having domain and nothing done about it. Is it because cryptocurrencies are not regulated the way it suppose to be or this is just how the world is?.

Scams are everywhere. Especially in the cryptocurrency space, where most of the time we are dealing with unknown people from all around the world. Most of the people that being victimized of scams are those people that want to get rich quick. They want quick money and instant gratification. And there's a lot of them. Scammers are fully aware of that, and they can make money by exploiting the weaknesses of the people.

BTC I was reading some sentiments regarding BTC on twitter, some wanted to jump out of the ship, but I was think of BTC last ATH. Before it, price was below $11K...and now price was near similar to that...so all I've been thinking and doing is praying/chanting. "JUST KEEP MOVING...NO STOPPING". What you guys think?

Hold your Bitcoin. Don't sell it, the best is yet to come. Think about it from a long term perspective. Bitcoin may go up and down but that's a normal process in the market. So don't think too much if the price of bitcoin dips. When it dips then buy more, accumulate as many as you can because this asset can change your life forever.
