Re: EtherDelta - Decentralized Token Exchange
by

It is really a shit exchange. Keep wasting user money on fail transaction e.g. issue order (even though etherdelta does not earn from this error).
The user experience is frustrating.
The order book and trading history seems never sync for hot markets. This just traps people from sending incorrect order and loose tx fee.
I think etherdelta should be responsible for keeping the order book and trading history sync.

What a shit exchange!!!!!  Angry

I just realized that etherdelta place order using their own server without sending tx to eth blockchain.
Then why the fuck they don't do order matching in their server, but instead they send the order eth blockchain and waste user tx fee?

Their order matching algorithm is worse than a undergraduate project.    Angry

Re: New way of fundraising/ICO: eTokens (eBTC, eLTC, eDash, etc)
by

How do you think recent launching of many eTokens such eBTC, eLTC, eDash, etc will change/modify the way of fundraising and coin development, because its protected from whales which can buy big pie of any coin on ICO stage and manipulate price. Such coins could develop really by community, not only by certain group of people. Some IT products like Firefox, Linux are free and open sourced and developing by community, why not crypto, which aimed to be so?

I think they have no meaning besides raising fund.

It is funny to have eLTC, ELTC, ELTCoin, ....
They are so confusing, even etherdelta.com listing eLTC and ELTC. Do you expect general users can distinguish them?

The same confusing scenario happens on WAVES platform too.

We really need some ways to fix or control the name/ticker reloading issues on this scammy issuance of eXXXX tokens.

BTW, there will be another fork in Nov (forked from Bitcoin, not BCH).

What do you think its effect on the price on BCH?

I got a new toy and I will dump the old useless toy.

In fact there are two more forks (BTG and B2X) coming. Why waste time on old shit toy?

I cannot tell the difference between BCH (BCC) and an ancient coin called CLAM.
Both take snapshot from the bitcoin blockchain.

BCH or BCC has is just another altcoin, slower in speed compare to Bitshares or Ethereum.
Less functionality than Bitshares or Ethereum or Waves

Don't waste time on it.

It is really annoying to have two kinds of MGO (waves and ethereum chains) and they are not interchangeable in exchanges, unless you pay extra trading cost among various markets. Why don't the developers team do something for setting up an official site for 1-to-1 exchange of MGO acrossing two platforms? I think most people will happy to pay for the transfer cost (not cost of trading gap).

Is there any such site exist?  Huh

What a day.

Spot on analysis:

One dev went. Doing own stuff which seems, at first sight, not to be accepted from community. Blaiming him for the crash (seems plausible).
Main dev showing up confidence and strong willingness to fulfill (obviously his) vision. Community have trust in him.

Then we have the yobit vs 'neutral' traders around here. Yobit trader who bought the FOMO now to prefer their charges. As usual they followed and bought the trollbox noise without any research.

The neutral trader, probably ICO and early adopters, (still in a good ROI) disliking asphyxias raid, but are fairly well informed and (while in a good ROI) were aware of things like that are part of the crypto game.

After struggling through the last 25 pages since asphyxias raid announcement I figured out there are two 'parties' over here.

The FUD party is led by PikachuYou (Jr Member - 56 posts) who told several times he dumped all of his coins while still complaining dumping all of his coins, second comes Jeffrey_memb (Jr Member - 14 posts) who turned his opinion 180°degree while fudding from one to the next post and now is fomoing again buying back his dumped $vidz. Few small fudders as well, but obviously understandable.

The Pr0 Party is staffed by Dabs (Staff 1582 posts and Escrow), jelin1984 (Legendary - 1344 posts), Bl4ckwood (Hero - 623 posts), Zer0Sum (Hero), Ankara (Hero) and finally SebastianJu (Legendary & Escrow), who all showing general faith in the project and the PV dev. Except of SebastianJu all Pr0s buying in, holding or having constructive critics and sharing improvement suggestions.

Main Dev has made few posts about further development, roadmap and updates.

To be honest, asphyxia (who posted that work was done together equally all the time, so both share same skills) is maybe better on his project alone. While main Dev can focus on his (my/our) vision of PureVidz with full community support and strong self-confidence in his project.

Anyway, due to todays grilled network weight drop, staking was beneficial as fuck.

Nice and meaning summary! Thanks.

tyrion70,

Thank you for your persistent and consistent report. I really appreciate your contribution, not just to us, but also the community.

BTW, can I make a suggestion to you to start trading on distributed exchange such as Bitshares (e.g. one legit portal is bitshares.openledger.info)? You may also install a bitshares node yourself and do trading within your own bitshares wallet. With this, we will have virtually much less chance of being hacked (we may still be doomed if the UIA issuer e.g. openledger being hacked). With recent trend in ETH, LISK, there should be much more chance for profitable trading.

Besides, you may consider to issue your own UIA (say DISCOVERY) at Bitshares blockchain. If you need more information, I will try to provide you more information.

Anyway, thanks for your contribution so far.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=977777 has some pictures of the empty office - empty except for some chairs, gift boxes (probably empty)

This is just a picture of an empty office, I don't see anything that connects this particular empty office to any particular entity. You might as well claim this office belongs to Avalon, Bitfury, or Huwaei. It's like people selling miners without their username/date--it's not very strong proof of anything.

Any thoughts?
Yes, it's asicminer office (room 1317). I can gurantee, I've been there. Before the holiday, there were many young guys working there.
And you know what? The ShenZhen office of TSMC is downstairs (room 1201) !!!

Are you sure?  Huh Looking at the Chinese in the photo (yes, I read Chinese). Office 1317 does *not* seems to be ASICMiner. It says something like "Shenzhen XXXX XXXX Investment Consultancy Company Ltd"  (XXX XXX is too blurry to see) and "Hong Kong XXX XXX International Group".
If you insists they are ASICMiner, it may be ASICMiner is hiding under these company names, or something else.

You maybe right, it may be ASICMiner is hiding under these company names or they just didn't replace the old company name.
I also checked out the mail box of 1317 and the name is 深圳比特泉信息科技有限公司 that is Bitquan or Asicminer.

深圳比特泉信息科技有限公司 is really ASICMiner according to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=873923.0
But this name is not shown in the directory in the above photo.

According to "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=873923.0", Asicminer is located in Nanshan district of Shenzhen.

Looking at the Chinese in the photo (yes, I read Chinese).
I believe the two relevant lines read (based on the full res image - check the weibo):
深圳原丰投资咨询有限公同
香港兴业国际集团
My Chinese is deplorable when it comes to proper/business names. But as mentioned elsewhere: neither definitively translates to 'asicminer' in any way.  Google tries to translate the business bit as 'HSBC', which I'm doubting is right Smiley

Based on your clarified Chinese characters, I tried to translate to English as close to original meaning as possible:

"深圳原丰投资咨询有限公同"
"Shenzhen Yuan Fung Investment Consultancy Company Ltd"
(原丰 is just a kind of name)

"香港兴业国际集团"
"Hong Kong Heung Yip International Group"
(兴业 is just a kind of name)
I google this company and found "香港興業國際集團有限公司" (www.hkri.com)
It is a land developer (much larger than ASICMiner, definitely not ASICMiner)
