Re: Make an S9 quite?

I wonder if anyone has tried underground mining to cool their miners in the form of a basement and ground-coupled heat exchanger which cools down the basement? Or would that be insufficient cooling?

As far as OP's question goes, I would wager liquid cooling to be the quietest method for cooling your mining rig. But then again if you have an entire room of miners, I am not sure how exactly that would differ from fan cooling. You would still need a source of cool air/liquid in both cases, I imagine. Perhaps combined with an more efficient way to channel the electricity through a minimal energy loss system. I don't suppose anyone mines with superconductors Grin?

It's super easy - heat water (TAP water or anything that needs heating all year long).
Swimming pool? Not a problem, we have done it.

Hello good people.

I am looking for E9Pro fan specs.

Have anyone tested how fast those 48V fans are spinnig. Is it 7k RPM?

Thank You for You help.

Re: 200amp panel trying too fill with asics to keep garage warm...

Looking for the L7s Bitcoin asic and any others potentially available that are producing a profit . . I'm not paying outrageous reseller prices I have 50k to spend an don't mind waiting to get direct from manufacturer.

My electrical costs are locked in at 0.042/c per k/wh for the next 2 years so I might as well take advantage of the 200amp panel sitting in my garage not doing anything. Drop a post if ya got something for sale. Post here prior to contacting me.

Much Thanks!

If you are looking for solution to recover heat and reuse it in different places of your garage/house, lower miners power usage and get rid of noise try our Immersion Cooling solutions.

Re: Worst case ASIC heat scenario

How would an ASIC miner fail if the cooling does not work?

Ignoring risks from cables and connectors overheating, which seems to be the main fire risk.

So assuming an ASIC hash board has access to plenty of 12v DC power and the cables are over-engineered and all software safety mechanisms fail:

How hot will it get before it stops drawing power?

Or will it melt itself and cause a short circuit?

Thank God we have Immersion Cooling liquid

Let me tell You my expirience I had 4 years ago when I started my journy with company: FlameIT - Immersion Cooling. Movie on main page is S9 the story is about Wink

I have manage to buy Antminer S9 at super low price. I have paid less then PSU was worth alone (really nice Dell 2kW server PSU). That was gold hit Wink Anyway S9 was already not profitable at that time.

The story is. I have built my first immmersion coolling tank, put S9 inside and started my experiments. Everything was working fine, I was nicely heating water (summer) for my house + I had to open one radiator in basement to dissipate extra heat. Then I have closed that radiator and left house for a weekend forgetting to open it again Smiley

After I was back, my water was 75 oC hot and temperature measured on board was 90. Thankfully, S9 shutted down itself after going above 90oC. Thanks to immersion nothing wrong happend AT ALL to the device or house Wink The tank and water were just a bit hot Wink

How other miners look in our best available synthetic fluid? Check that:

Re: S17+ Immersion - PSU Fans

I plan to build out immersion system for an Antminer S17+, how do we deal with the fans inside the PSU?

This is a question about the three small fans inside the PSU housing, which are two wire.

It sounds like the PSU must recognize that the fans are consuming voltage for the PSU to power on properly.

Any experience is greatly appreciated.
