Great info on running node software. Lightning Bitcoin (LBTC) recently released their source so that can be updated here: https://github.com/lbtcio/lbtc-core

This is not necessarily the same criteria as this list, but we put together a list of bitcoin forks from our dataset with a breakdown by category to help clear up some confusion that is out there:

https://forkdrop.io/how-many-bitcoin-forks-are-there

Of course, our main page and the per-coin page have a bunch of additional details on each coin.

We put together this page for a summarized live view and breakdown of the various categories of forks:

Of course, our full directory on the main https://forkdrop.io page has the full details to sort through and drill down on too.

Very nice resources, thanks for putting all that together!

I'm interested to know if you think the fork-athon will continue through 2018, you're obviously putting a lot of effort into your site

Thanks!

No idea what the future holds. But these forks do seem to keep coming. It seems to be functioning as a promotion for exchanges to attract customers. A subset of bitcoiners will flock sign up if they have exclusive support.

Perhaps the right way to look at the forks/airdrops are free casino chips or a coupon as a promotion for a service. Perhaps airdrops might become like coupons for non-cryptocurrency services that wish to attract an early-adopter Bitcoin demographic. Just happy to be building something while the price action is quiet - buying low on sweat equity Smiley

We just launched our guide section for helping less experienced bitcoiners through the process of claiming securely and privately:

https://forkdrop.io/novices-guide-to-claiming-forked-bitcoin-value

We slow it down with a bunch of screenshots to keep the pace comfortable for the novice that might not be a programmer and have existing CLI skills. The guide has many parts such as helping you set up an Ubuntu 16.04 live boot temporary session:

https://forkdrop.io/secure-live-boot-ubuntu-for-bitcoin-keys

Running Tor to help keep your block explorer and web traffic private:

https://forkdrop.io/running-tor-browser-from-ubuntu-live-boot

Running the tools for handling private keys and seed phrases safely:

https://forkdrop.io/using-ian-colemans-bip-39-tool
https://forkdrop.io/running-bitaddress-tool-on-secure-offline-ubuntu-system

Finding exchanges to sell the coins on:

And then a very detailed walk through for using the bitcoin_fork_claimer tool:

We just rolled out a large upgrade that is tracking exchanges that traded in these forks (including KYC, fees, and coins supported for deposit) and also upgrades the table interactivity for sorting through and comparing.

The current counts are:

57 bitcoin forks/airdrops
11 altcoin forks/airdrops
12 historic forks/airdrops
46 coin exchanges listed

As always, feedback appreciated.

...sorry my mistake you have! Really good job! At the top of the page select to auto adjust arrows....

Yep, a couple people suggested that, so we changed it. Really appreciate the feedback!
We are working on a number of things that people have suggested. Any more feedback or info you have, we would love to hear it.

My team and I just launched forkdrop.io which is a complete listing of all known forks with more collected links and information about replay protection and premines.

https://forkdrop.io

The information is still coming out and we have done the best job we could to make sure it is reasonably complete, but we are always accepting information. There are contact links on the site, or you can email us directly at forkdrop@protonmail.com

Also, the announcement thread is:

Enjoy!

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinAirdrops/comments/7xbv3x/introducing_forkdropio_a_complete_directory_of/

Freshly launched on February 13, 2018

As of now, to our knowledge, this listing is the most complete available anywhere. We wish to continue adding fresh information as it comes, including info about exchanges that support the coins and replay protection.

If you have information that belongs on the site, we would be grateful if you passed it along to us here, via our email forkdrop@protonmail.com, or by using any of the contact links on the site.
