Re: Question about CPFP / RBF
by

on 27/08/2023, 14:01:45 UTC
RBFing the transaction from A to B would still leave the transaction from B to C waiting if the B to C did not use enough of a fee.
RBFing from A to B would change the TXID and therefore invalidate B to C and any other unconfirmed children.

Yes, exactly. I knew this, which is why i was confused - but after reading your explanation it does make sense that C has the ability to increase the fee for both transactions without anything being invalidated.

Re: Question about CPFP / RBF

If address A sends address C a transaction with a low fee, B can use CPFP to receive the funds quicker.
I assume you mean if address A sends coins to address B, then yes, B can use CPFP.

However, if address A sends address B a transaction with a low fee, and then B sends it to C, and then C uses CPFP to increase the fee, will the transaction actually confirm faster?
Yes, provided C has paid a high enough fee to bump the overall fee rate for both unconfirmed parents.

I thought not, because the CPFP would only apply to the B to C transaction, and not touch the A to B transaction. Is this correct?
No, not correct.

Miners will consider the transactions as a package. It doesn't matter too much if the package of transaction is a chain of two unconfirmed transactions as in your first example, or if it is a chain of three unconfirmed transactions in your second example. Miners will look at the total space taken up by all the unconfirmed transactions in the chain, the total fee paid by all the unconfirmed transactions in the chain, and then work out the effective fee rate and whether or not it is worth including the entire package of transactions.

So yes, C can use CPFP, but will need to pay a fee high enough not just to bump the B to C transaction, but also to bump the A to B transaction.

Thanks very much!

Assume that all payments are RBF enabled.

If address A sends address C a transaction with a low fee, B can use CPFP to receive the funds quicker.

If address A sends address B a transaction with a low fee, and then B sends it to C, and then C uses CPFP to increase the fee, will the transaction actually confirm faster? I thought not, because the CPFP would only apply to the B to C transaction, and not touch the A to B transaction. Is this correct?

I am willing to leak the full WIF key to any high-rank member here that promises to give me 175 DOGE (slightly less than 50%) if they can recover the funds. PM me or comment here. Do not try to scam me, I will only work with a high rank member. If you are skeptical, I will not send you any files, just a plaintext of the WIF, and will not ask for any payment unless you safely recover the funds.

Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help.

I tried redeeming it on coinbin and signing it, but got error 400 when i broadcasted.
Did it show any kind of error message? It may just be a broadcasting or connectivity to remote server error, in which case you can use an explorer like blockcypher to try and rebroadcast the same transaction if the signing was successful and the issue was only when broadcasting it.

Can i send the redeem script and public key here so it can be easier for you to help? That wouldn't give away access to them, right?
There is no need to post it here if it looks like the following (the bold part should be the same and the rest should be of the same size which is 40 characters equal to HASH160 of your pubkey):
001479091972186c449eb1ded22b78e40d009bdf0089

I broadcasted it with multiple wallets, it's not working.

address
A6CqeniSjuEp2G5R1JfvPP5cMqEm2qQZiQ
redeem script
00142072920a93446cb9dcfb1ff27b477992f04b1990
public key
0329d0b509ffc7c65224bc2268f534f0e46dcf40815d021fe0caf698347434c85d
WIF Key:
QP****sY (52 characters total)

I followed the same process with a legacy address, works smoothly.
The issue is that it is attributing the WIF key to the legacy address and not the segwit address.
I can't find any other wallets that support segwit for doge either.

When i import the WIF key into another wallet, it instead imports the corresponding Legacy address (beginning with D) instead of the Segwit address.
Since WIFs don't have the address type information inside, you have to find a way to tell the wallet you are using what type of address it should derive. This is a wallet specific thing that you should ask the developers of that wallet or users of it.

Are my funds gone forever, or is it possible to access them?
Most probably you'll have a hard time reclaiming them but they aren't gone.
Try checking out the https://coinb.in/#newTransaction section of the website and try to create a transaction spending your coins by entering your redeem script in the first box and setting a destination address.
Then sign it using the https://coinb.in/#sign page with your private key.

If it's not possible to access, why does coinb.in even offer segwit as an option in the first place?
You really shouldn't use this type of tools for anything serious though, specially if you used it online. They are usually complicated and for "advanced" usages, not to mention could have vulnerabilities.
Try to stick to wallets.

P.S. Your address is a P2SH and I personally couldn't reproduce this type of SegWit address (ie. wrapped witness) which makes me think your address could be a multi-sig not SegWit. In any case are you sure your "redeem script" is a SegWit one? It should be OP_0 followed by a 20 or 32 byte data.

I tried redeeming it on coinbin and signing it, but got error 400 when i broadcasted.

I generated a Segwit dogecoin address from coinb.in.

It gave me a Segwit address (begins with A), a redeem script, public key, and wif key.

I funded the address it gave me, with 359.05 DOGE - https://live.blockcypher.com/doge/address/A6CqeniSjuEp2G5R1JfvPP5cMqEm2qQZiQ/

Now, it won't let me spend it. I can't import the WIF key anywhere. I should've imported it before funding it, i know, but it's too late now. When i import the WIF key into another wallet, it instead imports the corresponding Legacy address (beginning with D) instead of the Segwit address.

Are my funds gone forever, or is it possible to access them?

If it's not possible to access, why does coinb.in even offer segwit as an option in the first place?

Well, the transaction got removed from the block explorer now. It's back in MVjFqmkLrY4Hnpbr12AC6tAL1w8hRFYypu.

I'm going to assume I did it right, and that I can keep safely sending funds to MVjFqmkLrY4Hnpbr12AC6tAL1w8hRFYypu, and that it will be unlocked at block 2615000.

Re: Looking for 30$ btc. Will send 32$ usdt binance

I am looking for $30 in btc and i will send $32 in usdt using binance internal transfer.

Please check btc rate in preev and send $30 equivalent to: bc1q02tf2cd2rdn2hsaxmz02xd5rtl9w3jyvsd0jm9

Then pm me the transaction hash with your usdt tron trc20 address (no problem if it's not a binance address) or just post here if you don't mind posting your address in public.

I am in urgent need for this amount in BTC and the withdrawal fees in binance is so high in btc. I consider this as a kind act from you and a real exchange deal. I would consider tips for this address.

Thank You

Do you still need this?

Yeah Litecoin has a timelock feature and you did it correctly, your transaction will be included on the 2,615,000 block, currently the latest block is 2,524,276, the difference is 90,724. The average of Litecoin's block is 2.5 minutes, so it's expected you will receive the coins after next 5 months.

Each block explorer has their own rule, some not include time lock transaction due to it's still long, some not include unconfirmed transaction etc.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

Are you 100% sure though?
Is Blockcypher the only explorer that shows time locked transactions? Because i tried 10 other explorers and it did not come up.

Can someone please verify that this transaction has been completely signed properly, and that it will be broadcasted automatically after block 2615000?

https://live.blockcypher.com/ltc/tx/eca83c2d39f42e81f3fd1479e6e18624c24a518b53a9f814393bfc8111a3023d/

Why is this transaction not showing up on other block explorers?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category.

Question - does LTC have the same Timelock protocol as BTC?
I regularly time-lock my BTC using <coinb.in>. I noticed that this tool is also compatible for LTC, but does time-lock follow the same process as BTC?

Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022
by

After yesterday's defeat by Caruana, Nepomniachtchi is 1.5 points ahead and now it is almost guaranteed to win the tournament - there has never been a case in the history of chess when the leader did not win the Candidates Tournament with a 1.5 point advantage. Quotes bookmakers, by the way, are very generous:

Win in tournament Yes No

Nepomniachtchi Jan 1.22 3.80
Nakamura X 4.70 1.15
Ding Liren 10.00 1.03
Caruana F 10.00 1.03

What website do you guys use to place bets (with BTC) on chess game/tournament results?

Re: Multisig question
by

You want to have a wallet in which transactions can be made if they are signed by person A and one of B, C and D. Is this what you are trying to achieve?
If so, you can create a 4 of 6 multi-signature wallet in which the keys are A1, A2, A3, B, C and D. (A1, A2 and A3 are all owned by one person.)

Creative solution, thank you.

Multisig question

Is it possible to make a multisig address with 4 keys (A, B, C, D) that requires 2 signatures to broadcast a transaction, but one of the signatures MUST be from A?

Sorry if this has been answered before.
