by

Re: A SHIFT FROM ICO TO IEO
by
frost_wind
on 18/07/2019, 19:07:41 UTC
IEO is being popular now because of SCAM ICOs before!
People especially investors are afraid of some ICO and this cause failures to reach softcap before.
Now IEO is here and the shine of PUBLIC sale is coming back again!
IEO by itself does not guarantee anything to investors. Only by participating in the IEO on top exchanges with an impeccable reputation, investors have at least some protection against fraud. But in all other cases, the risk for investors is not much less comparing to traditional ICO. There were already enough cases when new exchanges were hosting IEO, and after a while their website stopped working

Crypto market has caved in under regulators  Sad How can kyc be mandatory on a decentralized exchange? How can it remain decentralized in such case? I consider this a defeat for each of us who hoped to gain freedom from the government with the help of cryptocurrency

I think old altcoin projects that still have not yet been able to build their business will be replaced by new projects, and such successful companies as ethereum will certainly continue to increase their market share and become much more frequently used by people

Bitcoin hodling is not the same as altcoin holding . Your money will never be safe if you invest in altcoins , so the decision to take profits when altcoins rise in price is very reasonable . You do not have to be greedy and wait for 1000% of the profits, because the altcoin market is very volatile

Re: KYC Requirement for Bounty Managers before they require KYC to bounty hunters.
by
frost_wind

KYC checking bounty managers will not solve any problems for bounty hunters. In many cases, this is the same hired worker. Even if the ICO bounty manager is a member of the ICO team, he can pass through the KYC test as many of us go through - providing not his own data and not his personal document. It would be better if such a check will be carried out by the ICO team, and even better if their documents are checked by the relevant government authorities during registration at the ICO location.
I believe that KYC for bounty managers will help to reduce fraud on their part . Have you never got into a situation when the bounty manager did not fulfill his direct duties? If you have already decided to hold KYC, then let it be mandatory for absolutely all campaign participants, including the organizers

Facebook seems to have problems with regulators. No one wants Facebook to take on the role of banks. I think that the telegram has more chances for success in the crypto-business, because they do not conflict with the traditional banking system

The only altcoin that I would venture to buy in long-term at the current price is ethereum . I am convinced that next year it will show a stunning growth , but I would definitely not risk buying such alts as a ripple , bitcoin cash or unknown coins from the last pages of coinmarketcap

Re: Opinions on BNB for the future maybe in few years time?
by

BNB becomes one of the leading altcoins. Binace launched their decentralized exchange, added margin trading to the main exchange, bnb also is trading with good volumes on many other exchanges. All this makes me think that bnb will continue to grow in the future and next year it may cost more than $ 100.

I do not think that latest Trump's statement will negatively affect the crypto market. On the contrary, the more high-ranking officials will publicly discuss cryptocurrency, the more popular bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency market will become .

Re: IEO is popular, what do you think? Will you participate?
by

IEO now is the only type of investment in new cryptocurrencies that makes it possible to earn money. Traditional ICOs have discredited themselves and people no longer want to invest money in them. In the case of IEO, exchanges give investors at least some protection against fraud on the part of the project and this makes investing more attractive. I want to participate in IEO on binance, but my country is on the list of banned for participation in IEO there (

Re: Myetherwallet; erc20 tokens disappear!
by
frost_wind
on 11/07/2019, 19:32:45 UTC
So back in 2017 I buy some erc20 token PAY. Seemed like a good idea as it was the TenX visa card thing...

As recomended I stashed them in myetherwallet.

TenX/PAY goes south big time.

I shoulda cashed out, but the wallet was a pita to use so I just hung on.

Then myetherwallet makes a gazillion changes and a new wallet, adds the ledger access.

I never did put any ETH with the wallet.

After a long spell I check on my tokens and they freaking disapeared,

No history no nothing except that I can sign in with my private keys.

I'm just glad I didn't buy any more than the silly PAY tokens.

I think I just became a pure BTC maximalist, and will trade the few ETH I got for BTC..
and screw myetherwallet,

Is there any outgoing pay token transaction from your wallet ? If not , then it is still in your wallet mate . Maybe you need to add it manualy to a list of tokens in order to see it in the list . Press "add custom token" button and enter all necessary data for this token .

Upd .
Just checked mew and seems that PAY token is in list of standart tokens . Press "show all tokens" and then find a "pay" token in the list and press "click to load" . Now it will show your balance of PAY tokens

Re: Will BITCOIN run out in 2140?
by
frost_wind
on 10/07/2019, 17:15:35 UTC
I forgot the article that says about this.
but I remember that, reportedly Satoshi Nakamoto intentionally created a limited amount of bitcoin inventory. This is done to prevent inflation. From long-term predictions, BITCOIN has at least until the year 2140, all of which can be mined. If the number of Bitcoin continues to decrease, the price can soar in the future. how do you think about this, is it true that BITCOIN will run out in 2140?
This is what is called a deflationary system. Over time, the total amount of an asset can only decrease, which naturally increases its value. You should not worry that when all possible coins are mined by miners, the network will stop, because miners will receive a commission on the amount of processed transactions. Satoshi Nakamoto was a damn smart guy  Wink

Re: HOW TO IDENTIFY GOOD AND SOLID BOUNTIES
by

on 10/07/2019, 17:09:19 UTC
I no longer believe in any promises of random crypto projects. All of these evaluation criteria, such as white paper or a "professional" team, do not guarantee bounty payment .  For me, there is only one indicator of good bounty campaign - payments in Bitcoin or Ethereum through a trusted escrow . Everything else is a crappy campaings .

Governments are always interested to control its citizens, I thought it was no longer a secret for anyone.  Undecided So attempts to restrict the usageof privacy-oriented coins are absolutely expected, but I do not think that they will succeed in completely banning their use, because no one can restrict p2p transactions and decentralized exchanges

Re: BTC Vs Altcoins
by
frost_wind
on 08/07/2019, 17:27:17 UTC
Do you think that currently altcoins are not showing bullish trends as BTC do?
But i think the strongest altcoin is LTC. Its price jumped from about $30 to about four times.
Which altcoin do you favor if any?

Everyone knows that litecoin will have halving in august , that’s why it has grown so rapidly in recent months, but that doesn’t mean that it will continue to grow at such a rate further. I think that the next main candidates for strong growth are ripple and ethereum while ltc will take a break, because such growth cannot last forever
