but it is since 18/02 that the network is blocked on 7 MH and not exit a block.
From a developers no get any news.

ah... I already was wondering why the 290871 block height never updated in the last days (I'm still syncing the daemon here on a slow VM)

What is the status of this coin?

* all the links to the pools (first post in this thread) seem to be dead
* links to the official pools on the official site are dead
* the edollar repository on github is read-only/ archived (so no longer maintained?)

My questions:
* is there an official remote node for syncing wallets?
* is there any working pool for mining (I used to use hashvault.pro, but they dropped edollar at some point)

Hello @everyone

Here is the current status of our EDL:
Previous main developer Ed handed over all the resources to  us (Nomas+Michal+me+Clashluke) and now we can continue with EDL V2.0
After all mutual understandings, information/ideas sharing our team will continue our work on EDL non stop.
We still need more and more developers though.
Please contact us regarding the development of the project if you are interested.
Since we got all the resources and the premine we will now support the abandoned Airdrop #3 and all those who participated will be given 3000-5000 $EDL in next 7 days.
Thank you

From Discord

Sounds good. Does that mean I can continue to use the old/existing client as it? Don't have to do anything special? (except sync all the missed blocks... I had it shut down for some months now Wink )

What does the official client (cli daemon) does with "adxprts.com"? This doesn't sound very private, rather fishy and suspicious.

Code:
...
2018-05-18 23:23:26.011   0x7*redacted* INFO global src/daemon/p2p.h:63 Initializing p2p server...
[1526685806] libunbound[69452:0] error: error parsing local-data at 14 'adxprtz.com A 0': Conversion error, ip4 addr expected
[1526685806] libunbound[69452:0] error: Bad local-data RR adxprtz.com A 0
[1526685806] libunbound[69452:0] error: error parsing local-data at 14 'adxprtz.com A 0': Conversion error, ip4 addr expected

2018-05-18 23:23:30.028   0x7*redacted* INFO global src/daemon/p2p.h:68 P2p server initialized OK
...

I block the adxprtz "Service" at the DNS level, that's why it triggers the errors, else a user probably wouldn't see this notice and get any form of notification about adxprts tracking. I tried the official binaries for Mac OS X (not an own build). What I find very suspicious that there's no hint about adxprtz in the official Stellite GitHub repository, so this is something that must have been slapped onto the builds w/o official commit to the repository.

Obviously my trust in this coin and the provided binaries is now quite non-existent after this discovery.  Angry

any help please !!

If you use the commandline wallet then you can restore a local wallet file from the seed.

First launch the daemon and let it complete the sync/ download of the blockchain (might take a 1/2 day). Once that is done you can launch the wallet with the right option:

Code:
./wallet-cli --restore-deterministic-wallet

You'll be asked to provide a (new) password (for your local wallet file) and provide the seed words. Once that is done the wallet will sync with the deamon and you should have access to your coins.

I have no idea how or if that works with the GUI based wallet. Never used those.

#Airdrop (Update #9)

3rd Airdrop will start from 25th March
(this time, it will be both conditional and non-conditional airdrop so everybody can participate.)

Nice to read that! Thank you, devs, for your hard work! We all believe in Edollar, and hoping to see the price near 100sat in near future!:)

I would like to participate in the airdrop, but HOW? Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see any information (not in the announcement post nor in the opening post of this thread).

Do I have to do anything special? Is there some form I have to fill out after March 25? Smiley

Good morning everyone,

I would like to say that after some thought our team decided to giveaway a consolation reward of 1k Intense to all those that missed the airdrop due to slack username issue.

I hope that everyone can accept this as a gesture of goodwill, and also accept my apologies for the issues experienced.

Have a great weekend,

Francisco

For me was enough previous apology and explanation so this gesture is like a nice bonus. I believe everyone will appreciate it.

After small misunderstanding you proved that you are fair people who are serious with this project and who take care of the community.

So I wish you all the best as I wished you before and I hope that this issue will have no negative impact on the whole project but on the contrary makes you stronger.

Thank you very much for the kind words and all support

Great to hear (or rather read Smiley ) that this issue will be resolved in such matter to the satisfaction to all airdrop participants. Now really everyone should be happy and we can focus on the more important things. Smiley

We've done work you asked us - you have to pay.
If you guys have a mistake - it is your own problem.

There was a social contract. The IntenseCoin team offered coins in exchange for social media followers. The users fulfilled their part of the contract and the IntenseTeam gained a substantial amount of followers on the various social platforms. Now it is time for the IntenseCoin team to fulfil their part of the contract and supply the airdrop amount to the remaining users.

A mistake can happen, but refusing to fix the mistake and putting the blame on hundreds of users can't be the solution. That puts the project in a very bad light, IMHO. There's already a lot of people complaining here for various other reasons (if those are justified or not). It should be in the IntenseCoin team's best interest to prove those doubters wrong. Withholding airdrop payouts to users who did nothing wrong doesn't do that. How are investors supposed to gain trust in the project when airdrop participants get denied their fair share?

What the IntenseCoin team should/must do now:

  • reverify the accounts with "wrong" slack user name comparing to the correct user name list (the one that shows the public "display names"!)
  • recalculate the airdrop share basing on the total number of qualifying users
  • pay the remaining and qualifying users their share

Yes, it sucks for the team that it must share some more of their own fund to rectify this issue. Yes, those remaining participants get a smaller share than those who already got their share. Yes, those who already got their share were lucky and got more than they should have.

I was very lucky, it seems, while I also provided a Slack user name (not a Discord one) it was luckily the same as my email user name part, so I got my (too big) share. I was only expecting around 1000 ITNS... so I was somewhat surprised about the substantial larger amount I got. Not that I did mind. Smiley

By the way, what you have extracted as my "username" is nowhere in my profile (can not understand where did you find such information!!) and when you search in slack directory with the "username" you have extracted, it finds zero results. However if you search the directory with the display name (the @name I inserted in the airdrop form) which is the proper username in Slack nowadays, it gives the proper results. I can not write it clearer than this, i believe, so am really sorry if you guys cannot understand.

Sounds like a good (and the only fair) solution to me. The IntenseCoin guys needs to re-verify all those that haven't received an airdrop because of a Slack username issue and compare the submitted @username with what's shown in that "Slack Directory". I'm not on Slack, but I guess this is some form of follower list. Finally send out the missing airdrops.

Hello, there was an airdrop if you join all channels, or something like that, and you will get if I am not wrong 1000 ITNS.

I did it but did not receive any coin. What went wrong?

I think this will take a little while until all get their share (correct me, if I'm wrong). I got mine already (Thanks to the team! Cheesy ), but co-worker of mine hasn't got his share yet.

There's a list posted on the official website with all the qualified wallet addresses. Check if you're on it.

To check if your FB profile is set correctly, log out of your FB account and visit your FB profile link with /likes on the end. e.g.  https://www.facebook.com/zuck/likes . If you cannot see IntenseCoin listed in the likes, or you cannot see your number of friends on your main profile page, your privacy settings are too restrictive and will not allow you to qualify for the airdrop.

Thanks for the hint. In my case privacy settings blocked the visibility... and I had a hard time to even find the setting that controls this  Shocked

It's impossible to see the number of friends from public. I don't get it to work no matter how I reduce privacy settings. I guess one only sees that when one is logged in (with another account) on Facebook. So make sure when you check things that you are actually logged into Facebook, I guess. Smiley

Is there any news about the XMas AirDrop?

Today, I checked my balance (which took like 6 hours, because I was 30 days behind with the sync  Roll Eyes ) and no change of balance.

It certainly will fall a bit lower until it reaches the stable curve again (before it went into hyperhype mode because all the media attention etc.) Smiley  I probably would wait a bit longer until it reached the low sweet spot  and then buy before it goes up again for the long run.

I tried to update my registration (I'm no longer a Newbie but a Junior Member! And can finally use a full signature!) for the signature campaign, but when I try to do that I get the error message "Sorry, but that Bitcointalk profile was already used."  Will my new profile status automatically be respected now (assuming hte compaign continues in some form at some point)?

Also the provided code to paste into the signature field doesn't seem to fully work (the URLs do not activate). So it doesn't look like in the opening post (probably some additional limitation still active here in the forum.)

HELLO  Grin

question. Do I need to back up my wallet from time to time and put it into a USB?

and what does save keys do? I don't remember having a private key only a password on the wallet

thanks

Yes, you need to backup the file (at least once).

The private key is somehow encoded in the wallet file and there's no direct way to extract it with the provided software. There is also no way to restore a wallet with a key or seed words (something that will be addressed by the recent announcement of switching ITNS to a monero based code)

i have problems with wallet.. i downloaded it from official site. it starts to synchronize and it stoped at half.. sadly i sent 500coins to try how it works.. The problem is it wont synchronize.. it always stops at half.. once i quit and start again wallet, it reports error.. it freez at loading blockchain and give "blockchain error".. is there any solution to this ?

Which version of the wallet (version, OS, type) did you download? What is the exact error message/ block number it stops? Do you have enough disk space and memory?

The Mac OS X commandline wallets were out-of-date (can't sync beyond the hardfork of the blockchain)

Please add a telegram chat. I hate web-based messengers, but many people I know use telegram for many coins and services (Bitcoin Atom, Victorium coin, Coinomi wallet are some to name). Would be happy to join official Intense Telegram group.

Thanks, I'll mention it to our social media folks. They are talking about Telegram.

FYI, we have 967 submissions for our XMAS Airdrop.  Wink

It also would be nice if the "IRC gateway" could be activated for the slack group (it's a simple switch in the settings), that way people can join using an IRC client rather than requiring some custom  SLACK client or using the awkward web interface. Smiley

Sounds like some thieve(s) tried to use already promoting profiles to submit their own wallet to basically steal some of the bounty payouts? Shouldn't that be easy to handle? In case of such "intentionally submitted multiple entries" the profile owner should be contacted to verify the wallet ID. Then filter out the submissions that don't match.

/edit

Just checked the possibilities here on bitcointalk.org. The profile offers an option to add "Other contact info". Participants could be required to add an entry "ITNS " there. Then you would just grab the wallet id from there and only ask for the profile ID via the form. All problems with fake entries solved, since only the profile owner can submit a wallet id that way. See my profile how this could look like. Cheesy  (Oh... maybe send some ITNS my way while you're at it! I could need some coins! Cheesy I'm sadly still newbie and can't qualify. Embarrassed )
