Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted?
by

on 18/10/2020, 20:33:00 UTC
There is nothing about boycotting the altcoins but people prefer to invest safely in Bitcoin which is relatively trusted in the crypto space. Also there are too many scams in altcoins so people are largely afraid if they may be caught in of those .
Altcoins this is tools for more experienced people, because they know how to choose the right coins that have stable development. Scam projects getting money from greedy people who do not want to study anything
Since altcoins now have more than seven thousand and their number continues to increase, a significant part of them does not inspire confidence among investors. Overall, however, altcoins continue to evolve rapidly. There are still a lot of useless altcoins, but they continue to be eliminated, only those who perform useful functions and are in demand remain. Therefore, altcoins are not boycotted by investors; among such a multitude of them, about ten percent are worthy for investment.

Perhaps I will give an incorrect comparison. I apologize in advance. To me, altcoins mostly resemble used toilet paper. Because they primarily serve only one rise in prices and then no one needs them. And some are not even able to do this. There are altcoins that are really valuable for the crypto market and have great prospects, but there are very few of them and you can count only a few dozen.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different crypto which tops in their own way and I think it doesn't make any logic or sense trying to find out better amongst them. Ethereum has its own sphere of influence wherein it topples Bitcoin and Bitcoin remains as undisputed king of crypto for its vast influence over the market.

People will select either Bitcoin or Ethereum as thier preferred coin based on their usage and domain.

Gold words. These coins really make a great contribution to the development and improvement of the crypto market. Bitcoin acts more as a reliable asset and an asset for long-term storage of earned money. Ethereum is primarily for investing in new coins. It allows new projects to create their own tokens without any special difficulties and attract investments for their development. Ethereum is more risky for investing than Bitcoin.

Despite the bitcoin dominance, i think there still many altcoins that are doing good in the market. There is a hype right now in most defi platform supported by many altcoins. I am expecting positive development in the prices of altcoins this coming months. I am just waiting for the altcoin market to become bullish.

Bitcoin's dominance speaks of its popularity among investors. It is people who decide what it is best for them to invest in altcoins, which can rise high and fall, or in bitcoin, which is generally stable and shows moderate growth. By the level of capitalization, we can see what is closer to the mass of investors.

Right now Ethereum is doing well in the market which is making some investors thinking that Ethereum will take the position of bitcoin as most Largest in the cryptocurrencies. But many new users are avoiding Ethereum because of the gas fee that is too high compared to bitcoin which fee is lower than Ethereum.
I guess bitcoin is still the largest and most popular among the cryptocurrencies. Many investors are still joining to invest with bitcoin to enjoy that stable profit in the market.

Yes, I was very happy when Ethereum began to rise in value again. I sold part of my coins, and left the other part in case Ethereum grows in price over $ 500. Now I trade his tokens and grieve very much about the size of the commissions on the network. it's good that they have dropped a little recently.

Re: Which wallet do you think is the best?

Undeniably for managing your assets on the erc20 platform, the best wallet is MyEtherWallet. And also Coinomi has a very accessible and simple user interface and 12 words as a secret key. But if you take, for example, the Blokchain .. info wallet, which provides the ability to store Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as several other highly rated cryptocurrencies, then it suits me due to the high degree of security, which is confirmed by the multi-level possibility of confirming all actions, as well as entering the wallet.

All of these wallets are web applications. They are dangerous. There have already been cases when hackers changed the DNS server of the wallet website to their own and thereby received the private keys and seeds of users who wanted to use their wallets. That is why I use these wallets carefully and do not keep many coins on them.

It will be a long debate if we compare between Bitcoin and Ethereum, because they both have different functions.
Since its inception, it's clear that Bitcoin was created as a digital currency, while Ethereum was created as a platform.
So they are different and cannot be compared, but never will Ethereum beat Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is proven to be
purely decentralized and Ethereum is not.

From your words, it turns out that Ethereum can only be used as a platform. However, this is not at all the case. Ethereum was previously an excellent means of payment in the network of which it was convenient to make payments. Only recently the situation has changed and I have no longer liked making payments in Ethereum. All this happened due to the strong rise in gas prices.

Re: Importance of social media channels
by

social media is very important for a cryptocurrency project,
and not only from the cryptocurrency world, but all startups need social media,
because news and updates must be open to the community, that's a good project

I don't like it when my children spend a lot of time on their social networks. However, I can agree with you. Now the most effective advertising is carried out in these social networks because a lot of people spend time there.
There is no effective way, from my experience. The only way to prevent the kids from social media is to use dedicated Proxy servers or limiting the social media packages on the modem. The youtube is not only for fun and children spent their big-time having fun or learning something.

My son is studying to be a computer systems engineer. I think that it is he who can configure the Internet through a proxy server so that I do not visit my sites))))

He just spends his free time on social networks instead of going for a walk with friends. It was different at my age. However, there were no social networks back then.
That is why I think the best advertising right now is social media advertising. Especially if the target audience of advertising is young people.

Why use Metamask or Trust wallet in collaboration with Ledger Wallet? Ledger has all the software you need to send any coins that this wallet supports. I use the standardized applications developed by the Ledger team because they are the most secure.
I am not sure ledger live has all coin you needed, afaik connecting ledger to metamask isn't bad. you have to know, your private key stored in hardware whatever you connect it somewhere else.

Ledger has his own program called Ledger Live. It is with her that it is most convenient and safe to use this hardware wallet. Of course, you have the right to choose what is more convenient for you, but the proprietary program suits me best. In this case, I am 100% sure that no one will steal my coins.

If that is the case as you said ETH should have taken over now.
but the fact is btc is still strong in the lead, we will never know the extent of development that will occur in altcoins, but still the one who will be at the top is btc.
ethereum is still having trouble taking over rank from bitcoin, you also know that it seems impossible to be number one because ethereum's currently circulating supply is too much so when the price becomes expensive there will be a hard dump, if this is the case then ethereum can be say you have no chance to beat bitcoin.

Ethereum 2.0 is coming soon. will have a huge advantage over Bitcoin. It will have great scalability and very cheap transactions, good support for smart contracts, and a convenient programming language. All this will make it more technologically advanced and popular. I believe that Ethereum will soon have every chance of competing with Bitcoin for leadership in the crypto market.

Connected between ethereum and bitcoin because when bitcoin keep on fire with higher price ethereum always allow how bitcoin going on, but when bitcoin going down never for hold and invest etehreum because price keep going down too allowed what happen with bitcoin. I think ethereum the only one coin always allow his condition on bitcoin and never growing up by self without waiting for when bitcoin will grow up and have good price, impossible seeing ethereum cross above $1000 without get bitcoin could reach above $20k and never take profit for ethreum investment if bitcoin keep lower price always.

These coins have no connection with each other because they were created for completely different purposes. Bitcoin is the most reliable coin of the entire crypto market, it is in it that savings are stored and they wait out times of crises. Ethereum is needed to accelerate the launch of new projects, including fraudulent ones. It is because of this that its price is more prone to jumps and falls.
if there is no relationship then how can cryptocurrency price movements depend on bitcoin price movements? so I think even though there are some tokens or alternative coins that have nothing to do with bitcoin but bitcoin is still number one.

Because bitcoin is the backbone of the cryptocurrency market. Everything here indirectly or directly depends on how the price of bitcoin behaves. How much it is currently in demand among investors and traders. This is why when the price of bitcoin fluctuates sufficiently, the prices of other coins also fluctuate.

I use the Ledger S hardware wallet. I have been using it for a long time and during this time I managed to get used to it and llike it. I like it because of its versatility and the fact that it is much safer than multi-currency wallets that are simply installed on your smartphone.
nano ledger is one of the recommended hardware wallets because of its dual security, I also use the nano ledger only to store coins, but it's better to use metamask or trustwallet if you want to use it as a transaction because the two wallets are easy to use and not too complicated

Bitcoin and Ethereum are already quite obsolete coins in terms of technology. Ethereum is now showing how low scalability it is. Commissions in his network reach enormous proportions. All this suggests that we need a cryptocurrency that has enormous scalability and is able to pass the number of transactions comparable to a VISA or MASTERCARD without any problems.

And if Bitcoin has credibility because it is digital gold, then the demand for Ethereum will fall if its developers do not solve the problem of scalability.

Previously, you could hear that cryptocurrencies are a big bubble. This is what people who are far from cryptocurrencies said. Of course, you can make a lot of money here in a short period of time. Personally, this is the crypto market that attracts me. If I wanted to earn drop by drop and without risks, then I would turn my gaze to the banking sector. But I am interested in big and quick earnings, so I am in the crypto market and invest in new projects, including some DEFI projects.

Those altcoins that are on the top 1 gainers list on cmc that gains 600 to 1000% within 7 days are those altcoins I want to invest with but its hard to predict what altcoin it is with around 2651 cryptocurrencies listed on CMC. Can you recommend me what are those altcoins?

You can not guess the growth of altcoin by 1000% or more percent in a short period of time. Because such a price increase is due to the manipulation of a coin or because of someone else’s mistake.
Therefore, there is no point in predicting such growth. Better look for coins with the possibility of growth at least x2-x5.

People's complaints about the price of crypto are always the main topic in every discussion. Isn't crypto the right solution for the future???

Some coins cannot survive even a year due to the fact that their developers are deceiving investors and do not want to implement their projects. Are you sure you offer to keep them forever and not pay attention to prices?
If you mean bitcoin, then perhaps it will exist for a long time, but even so, it is better not to risk it.

Re: Expectation And Reality In The Current Situation
by

on 09/09/2019, 18:48:45 UTC
When 2019 started you have a lot of expectation especially when the price is moving up again from a very long bear trend, you expect that the price will reach another all-time high this year, because of a lot of great news like the Facebook coming in the market.

I'd like to ask the community, is your expectation close to the reality that we've experiencing right now?

Not really. When I saw how bitcoin quickly began to rise in price, I was delighted because I decided that altcoins would soon follow Bitcoin. However, at the moment, the behavior of altcoins is not amenable to my conclusions and forecasts. So I'm a little upset.
