Re: Most Crypto investors are Cowards
by
futuristic18
on 09/07/2018, 10:42:47 UTC
The answer is just simple, we all are cowards  Smiley. Everyone will like to wake up one day and find out that Btc has reached 50,000. All these people are scared to invest hugely in bitcoin but want to become  Crypto millionaire and Billionaire. You ask them why they are scared and they are like crypto is volatile and so on. This is the time to set the record straight make people realize what they are into. If you are scared then there is no need for you to join this amazing fraternity Smiley.

Its not about being coward. Its about investing wisely. Everyone here invest as per their risk appetite. Even Today's Crypto millionaire and Billionaire, they have also invested wisely and taken risk which they were ready to take.

Re: Everyone needs to report the @Bitcoin twitter handle immediately
by

Selling Bitcoin Cash as Bitcoin is fraudulent. Did your friend buy Bitcoin only to end up with Bitcoin Cash, or did he buy Bitcoin Cash thinking it was Bitcoin? The former is a crime that should be reported, while the latter could be chalked up to buyer's due diligence, or lack thereof, despite being a byproduct of legally and morally questionable marketing.

The problem with the Twitter issue is that the term Bitcoin isn't trademarked. It can't be said that the account is pretending to be someone else if there's no one who could legitimately claim the handle. It's free-for-all, and it just so happened that a hostile party got to it first.

That being said, I do hope something can be done about their marketing. They're free to claim that Bitcoin Cash is the closest thing to Satoshi's whitepaper all they want, and I would also have no qualms about them saying Bitcoin Cash should be Bitcoin. Saying Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin, though, is not just outright misleading, but is also regrettably legal (as far as I know at least).

Excellent way of clarifying the thing for people like me. Thank you.

Re: What strategy to follow before investing in BTC?
by

I want to make some investment in bitcoin. but considering the market condition, I am confused that what percentage i should invest in BTC.
Could you please suggest the percentage I can invest in BTC safely? The rest of my investment will be placed in alt coins.

No one can suggest you for your investment ratio. You are the one who has to decide how much and which ratio you want to take risk. Market is volatile and it will remain, you have to see price trends and accordingly should buy when they are on downwards trend. Buying at a low price, gives us a little more chance to minimise risk and gain more profits.

i have been thinking bitcoin cannot last forever..............i need you guys opinion if what im thinking is right.

Unpredictable. Like we cant say how much we live, the same way we cant comment on Bitcoin existence. Its in crypto market, its existence depends on the rise/fall of its demand.

Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists?
by

on 07/03/2018, 06:07:58 UTC
On March 8th, Cheollima Civil Defense(CCD) released a video on its website claiming:” Han Sol, the son of Kim Jong Nam, and two other family members were met quickly and relocated to safety. “ And they receive bitcoin for financial support. http://news.8btc.com/bitcoin-plays-a-role-in-humanitarian-assistance This is something nice to do. But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?

Bitcoin is used as money and it can be used for any purpose as we are free to use other currencies same applies to Bitcoin/crypto currency too.

Using Bitcoin anywhere, does not impact its worthiness or credibility. If Bitcoin is used or will be used for terrorist activities we can't blame Bitcoin, its people who are using and they should be blamed to use it for illegal activities.

Re: Bitcoin as payment system
by
futuristic18
on 06/03/2018, 09:42:59 UTC
We all know that Bitcoin is one of the best ways to invest your money. However, we know that Satoshi wanted to change money as we know it rather than new investment model.

How do you think, will we be using bitcoin as payment system? Or it will stay as it is and this bubble blow up one day?  Undecided

And how do you see it's future?

Yes, we can use Bitcoin as payment system but currently it has few hindrance to consider it a full fledged system for payments.

First hindrance -  no single regulatory which makes it unacceptable everywhere on the whole. Also, there is no KYC involved in this, in case of wrong transfers its difficult to get it back because here we don’t maintain any customer personal information. More risk of fraud because of no escrow account in between the payment receiver and giver both.

Also, I am sure about Bitcoin growth and its not going to blow up at least in the next couple of years.

Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin
by
futuristic18
on 05/03/2018, 07:21:19 UTC
I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

Blame game is always there, between the similar system. Same is in this case too. As i feel, there will never be a war like situation.

Bitcoin is gaining popularity and stating that its been used in illigal activities or money laundering its just an accusations (you said it yourself). Bitcoin as other currencies, can be used for any purposes as per the wish of the holder.

Banks are run by government regulatory bodies and can never start war against Bitcoin if its legalised in the country.

Re: Why people says gold is better?
by
futuristic18
on 01/03/2018, 11:13:10 UTC
Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket, restaurants and some institutions. But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?

Reason - Gold is a standard since long. Everywhere in the world people know about gold, in few country people judge any individual's worth through the gold he/she have.

Bitcoin is relatively new, though gaining popularity rapidly and many countries have accepted it as legal tender. Still, only 30-40% population is aware about its usage and technology. And, I feel this is the main reason people say Gold is better.

Re: Cryptocurrency education in high school

This high school in New Jersey is already teaching its students about cryptocurrencies.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/07/bitcoin-education-at-high-schools-and-colleges.html

Seems good to include study on Crypto currencies in education. But feel, it should be at the higher level. High school students should not be involved in the matters which are not fully explored by professional/adults till now.

Re: Is Bitcoin money?
by
futuristic18
on 21/02/2018, 05:17:57 UTC
Theoretically Bitcoin is not money, its a commodity which can be traded in lieu of money or similar commodities. But, practically, this is a crypto currency and most of the people count it as money/ digital currency. We can exchange bitcoin to USD and USD is a hard core money.

Very recently, I read 2 hotels have started accepting Bitcoin as payment.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/4a0b16dd-6783-4dac-9fa0-76e923c9a774

According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze.

A good start from the hotel industry. Seems we are going to get Bitcoin acceptability worldwide very soon.

Re: If people stop buying bitcoin
by
futuristic18
on 19/02/2018, 05:41:11 UTC
What will happen if people just stop buying bitcoin? Will bitcoin be as usable as now Or will it be a step towards the end?

How will the market value react to it, people wanting to sell bitcoin but there is no one to buy.

Have you ever thought what if people don't eat.

I failed to understand these what if scenarios. However, if people stop buying Bitcoin it will seize to grow further as there will be no demand. But it is next to impossible as it is not possible that world over will decide to not to buy in a same day.

Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency?
by
futuristic18
on 17/02/2018, 11:59:36 UTC
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

Yes, this is also a reason of Bitcoin popularity. Otherwise, its technology is one of its kind at the time of its inception, it works in an anonymous way and decentralised form which makes it more popular as there is no risks of losing identity.

Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable
by
futuristic18
on 17/02/2018, 09:05:00 UTC
bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable.

currency should be more stable.

you may reply me. currency is not stable also but you should think

USD currency price is up and down 1-2% in 1 month.

bitcoin price is up and down 20% in 1 month.

what will people think if they just change USD to bitcoin then their money down 10% in 10 minutes?

bitcoin can become stock but cannot become currency

To be a worldwide currency, Bitcoin needs time. Its on a growth path but not accepted as legal tender so far in many countries. First it need acceptance all over then only one can think about replacing USD.

Bitcoin is the oldest and most valuable cryptocurrency, but a crop of nimble competitors, including Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, could lure investors away.

Yes, there is a possibility that another coin take the Crown. Just it should have excellent technology and market grabbing... seems Ethereum is first runner in this race currently.

Re: Are Bitcoins taxable?
by
futuristic18
on 15/02/2018, 05:50:40 UTC
Let's Bitcoin takes off. Say you lived in the US and had an online service that dealt in the equivalent of ~20,000 USD or more income for you (personally). What are the laws for income tax on a currency like this? Can you get in trouble with the IRS by simply having tons of BTC that the market values at (currently) almost 5$ per BTC?

Income tax will be applicable on income whether its from cash or from crypto. If you trade your Bitcoin and get money in your account then definitely this is going to be taxed. But if your Bitcoins are on your wallet it not taxable as these are not reflecting in their actual values. Bitcoin in your wallet even if they are in N numbers are not counted in Income anywhere.
