Re: PhoenixMiner 5.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8c  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8c :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8c

I also want to completely move to BSC, but I still hold tokens with eth contracts and I still hold because the feeble is too big.  I hope that in the future many new projects using BSC contracts or eth founders make renewals to deal with expensive fees

Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins?

Hello Guys,

Coins on top for 2017 like EOS, VET, ZEC, DASH, NANO, XTZ...
Can they compete with existing coins like DOT, LINK, coins on DEfi.

Should I invest in old coins?

While it can still be OK to invest in those old coins, I believe it will be wise to also invest in the new coins because this new coins have got a lot of hype with what they bring to the crypto space and this has help to push the price up while in my opinion, some of the old coins are also still good to invest in if you believe they will do well.
yes i agree, it is not bad to invest in old coins.  only old coins are more stable in price so even if they go up, not everything goes up to 100%.  whereas new coins are likely to go up to 1000% and everyone wants a fantastic profit within a few months

Re: Ethereum Becoming a Store of Value

I found a video of Mark Cuban explaining this: https://youtu.be/QEoBeIdwuRg

Do you think Ethereum has potential to become store of value? Why or why not?
I agree, take a look now the fees for transactions are too high.  no one wants to use eth as currency this is a big problem.  eth founders should have done something or immediately realized eth 2.0

Re: What is the best way to get the best gas fees for eth tokens
by
fzatni
on 22/03/2021, 08:07:33 UTC

not the worst

The days of the 21 gwei are long gone but we must move forward with the growing demand of cryptos.

Now if sending tokens with a value of $10 will cost your $20 or more in fees this is very uneconomical and I can't take this anymore...I bet you can't take it as well !
So is there a way of calculating the most optimal fees without running out of gas or paying too much? I have used the metamask gas calculator and etherscan gastracker to get estimates but I think these are not cost efficient.

What is the best way to get the best gas fees when moving Eth tokens?
I was also a little overwhelmed when I saw the gas station and swap fees at Uniswap.  there seems to be no solution other than waiting for the ETH price to fall back down or inevitably switching to a BSC contract.  if there is any solution please let me know

Hi guys
Which platform is better for generate token if you want token be listed on exchangers without big fees  Huh

 Thanks
I just want to say it seems like for now tokens with eth contracts are too expensive especially if we swap with Uniswap, if BSC or TRON is cheaper in terms of transaction costs

Re: insane fees on eth (uniswap)
by

Recently i have done tx on uniswap. The total fees cost goes 50-80USD. noramlly compare to binance smart chain its huge.

anyway there is "Approve" and "swap" . each there are charging. why there are two things , means approve and swap,

there need to eth 2.0 or BSC needy to replacement this insane network fees... I really fedup
actually I only saw it at the gas station and it made me believe that it required a fairly expensive fee, at the gas station it was only in the 30-45 range, but in reality, so that our transactions are smooth and fast, it requires 2x the ones listed on the gas station

Re: Altcoins to invest in right now
by

Which altcoins would you select to invest now?

Mine are:

EOS
Alpha
Mantra
Cartesi
Siacoin
XRP
Reef

looking at market conditions like this where the coin price rises drastically it seems better to invest in a new project or defi, defi is also in a good trend and is still new

I myself prefer that new coins will usually reach new ATH but the risk is also big, if the old coin actually depends on the developer having innovative ideas or not, digital competition is very competitive, we have only a small advantage it can have a big effect

Re: Which cryptocurrencies will be around in 10 years and why?
by
fzatni
on 20/03/2021, 12:14:57 UTC
Litecoin, Bitcoin, and possibly xrp.

Litecoin is much faster, cheaper to send, way undervalued, and will become scarce as institutions buy it up. It also is easier to evolve with a collaborating development team and foundation.

Bitcoin, due to being the first one and recognizable, being used as a store of value as insecurity with fiat increases, etc.

XRP because if it is adopted by banks, despite having billions of coins, could become a mainstream tool for banks, etc.
bitcoin in the next ten years?  i can't imagine how much btc will cost the next 10 years.  In my opinion Binance looks like it will last the next 10 years. My reason is simple for now Binance is the largest exchange, has a good reputation, and Binance Smart Chain is more efficient in terms of eth in terms of fees and speed

Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens???
by
fzatni
on 20/03/2021, 12:03:33 UTC
Many of us were well known the Coinmarketcap from where we receive all cryptocurrency like coins and tokens details like on which exchange they listed, what is the 24-hour treading volume, or which platform they based on, etc. These days many new crypto coins and tokens was introducing and listing on many exchanges and It makes a very difficult decision for the investor to choose which coins or tokens should they invest to make some good profit. Many of the new cryptocurrency was makes a good pump in their stating days and after they dump in a very dramatic way. This cause a big loss to the investors and the trust in these types to new coins and tokens was finished. So, the main question is that Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens? or it is good for a very certain time of investment?
Indeed, that's how the investment world always has a risk, there is even a high return risk reward institution and we as investors must know whether to take a big risk or not.  and investing is not easy especially in crypto with new projects

Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project?
by
fzatni
on 20/03/2021, 11:56:15 UTC
In a short while that I have been in cryptocurrency I have seen so many crypto project and fantastic budget and planned you see that some of them still left the project unfinished some even do stop the crypto project without any pre_information about the sudden change of plans concerning the particular project so what do you think about the crypto project that have been suspended half way , what do you think that should be done for this kind of the attitude of crypto developer's concerning crypto project abandoned project.
I know this forum from 2017 and something like that is commonplace but the effect is making crypto a bad name in the investment world.  sometimes there are some people making projects just to take investors' money and leave, but I don't mind if the project fails because it doesn't reach the softcap

Re: Timing to Hodl tokens is very important.
by
fzatni
on 20/03/2021, 11:49:37 UTC
A lot people argue about if it is better to hodl on the long term or the short term neglecting the most important thing.
The timing with which you have to hodl your tokens or investment is very important, to ensure you do not rekt.

For every token, there is a time to hodl, and time not too, figure out the timing before investment.
I also just realized that not every time we have to throw away tokens, due to the fact that if I hold some tokens, maybe now I have earned thousands of dollars
