I noticed there are plenty of ICOs with no even a line of code, and they still rise funds. HOOOW come??
Most of what people mentioned here I can agree, just maybe previous successful experience with ICO is not what matters the most. Is a PLUS, for sure, but people learn more from mistakes than from success

Sorry, tried to explain, that I have nothing to do with this ICO, just liked the idea and definitely going to invest in something meaningful... Would it be better if I change the name of this discussion? I jus want to find someone who could share opinion, that's it.

Stumbled across Wepower a "green energy network". Did a little research, seems all legit, even demo in action, backed by government... Not to mention market cap of 242$ bilions, which got my attention in the 1st place. Looks tempting.

You cannot get some investors if you would just post an unconvincing words here much better if you provide a roadmap and whitepaper so that we can see more clarification on where you would bring those investors. You should let us see your white paper so that no questions needed to ask from you, small amount of proof is okay you must make sure you have it so that the participant believe you immediately and there's no doubt in anyway. Thanks.

People continue to confuse what ETH is. It's not a competitor to Bitcoin.
ETH is a currency that represents processing power over the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum provides access to a blockchain for any sort of project one can think of (which is not possible on Bitcoin's blockchain). Ethereum is bringing the blockchain to businesses, governments, charities, start-ups, and fools who want to start ICOs (with no reason or purpose).
ETH will launch, but for a much different reason that Bitcoin.

when doing " a research" what would be your recommendations to look at?
Yeah it is an opportunity if you get to buy ICO coins . But we should be very careful on the selection of coins. We should make a research of the particular coin we are going to buy. Volume of the coin and its market cap are to be observed since that help us to predict whether the coin is worthy or not.
If the coin is good, do buy it because we can gain more profit of it at the end. Because sooner or later everyone will start buying it at the higher price while we would have bought it at discounted rate.
