finally got my moneyyyyy. thank you bitinstant. sorry I had to spam your forums with 1 post everyday, but I was under the impression that this service would be instant when in fact it took 11 days. well thanks anyways.

I used bitinstant to try and transfer money by moneygram to bitstamp, and I haven't gotten my money after 11 days so far. I used bitfloor through bank of america and my money arrived in 4 days. Guess which one i'm using next time?

it has been 11 days since i used bitinstant to bitstamp, and ya'll still haven't gotten any funds at bitstamp. c'mon....

Actually I know alot of people here are complaining, I must have got lucky because my transaction went through in a matter of hours.  I'm still confused about what rate I got though, can anyone explain the time/rate thing in really simple terms for me please?

yeah, they charge a couple fees, and then whatever you have left of your money after the fees they convert into bitcoins based on the going price of a bitcoin the day you used moneygram or whatever. Often  times though, they will not do this, and instead for no good reason at all give you the going price of bitcoins at the time you actually received the coins. If this happens, you need to create another support ticket which will probably take a week or 8 to push through successfully.

So I'm guessing I should just forget about using bitinstant?


I mean, if I wen ahead with the zipzap order i have printed up, it's pretty much assured that I wouldn't see the money hit my Mtgox account for another couple weeks? Fucking sucks, cause I'm itching to throw some money around.

bitfloor is a more convenient option, but a little more expensive. ( but they won't short you bit coins just because they couldn't figure out how much the coins were worth when you used moneygram)

I don't know who is at fault now because blockchain is saying "error getting wallet balance".

Bitcoin wanted all this attention and they got it. Now there getting laughed at because they can't handle it.

it's definitely bitinstant's fault. blockchain doesn't mess up.

Because you have not only made me miss a huge bubble, potentially robbing me of opportunity to make 100s, but also caused me to miss the lowest BTC has been in weeks; I expect to be compensated at the lowest price BTC has been at throughout the whole 'deposit pending' process, which has been since 4/3, well over a week.

I have no doubt you will comply...

So what is the recommended method to buy bit coins?  I am still waiting on my bitInstant transfer from sunday.
bitfloor was working really well a couple days ago.... today there are a lot of reports of people not getting their coins either so they're the same as bitinstant right now. You could do  a wire transfer, but that would definitely take a day or two to process. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you are fucked at the moment, unless you have a mt.gox account linked to your bank account.

Has anyone that tried using bitstamp with bitinstant actually received their funds? I haven't seen one person say they've gotten their funds by this method so far.  Smiley
