Just counting Cuda cores 2 3gb 1060s are in between 1070 and 1080. A bit faster than a 1070 but a bit slower than a 1080. Price for performance I say go with a 1080 if you can get it close to $500. It will resell better as a gaming card later on as well.

For anyone worried that sites will abuse browser mining this open source project aims to create a blocker plugin: https://github.com/keraf/NoCoin
Don't understand why some people are so against this. I'd much rather give up a slither of my CPU to help websites I use stay online than be bombarded with annoying ads that make my computer slow.

Win win imo

I think it's a great alternative to ads and a nice way to help fund sites.

The pirate bay already abused its users by covertly running a monero miner at 100 percent CPU power. If they had revealed that they wanted to move to a browser mining funded model there would be no problem.

Other sites will try the same tactics; the blocker plugin gives users control over their computer's resources and site owners an incentive to inform their user base about the benefits of browser mining. We live in the age of services such as patreon, many users who appreciate a site will help pay for it to stay active, no need to pull a fast one on users.

I'd like to beat that hacker with a wet rope. Anyone who hacks the guy that gave us all ccminer free and open source is an utter arse wipe. He could charge a fee and be filthy rich from the amount of people that use ccminer or it's variants.... but he didn't and we all owe him allot for that (literally).

Agreed, I have used this pool since the beginning and it's always worked great and paid out fairly.

I imagine sha256d or scrypt would be good for comparison, old algorithms that would work on old and new graphics cards. The increase in performance going from one generation of GPU to the next should be observable. If you are testing nvidia hardware ccminer still supports both of those algorithms.

Re: GPU mining with a RPi

The graphics cards have to interface through PCIE. The Pi simply doesn't support that interface.

Something like a LeMaker HiKey 960 has PCIE gen 2 support and an m.2 interface... so maybe with an m.2 to PCIE slot converter and the software to make it communicate with OS you could run graphics cards. It costs $250 for this device though, so not really saving money compared to the typical x86 motherboard and cpu combos we buy today.

Sign into Bittrex.
Go to Wallets at the top right.
In the list of Wallets find Bitcoin and click the blue plus + button.
A deposit window will appear, it will either have an address or the option to generate an address.
Send your BTC to that deposit address from Coinbase.

Maybe the estimates don't reflect the difficulty spikes when a coin gets to the top of a site like whattomine. I imagine lots of miners start mining whatever is at the top of the list; this makes your rewards lower and slower as the difficulty goes up and the total network hash rate increases.

Hello there im mining since a few days with my Geforce 1080 ti. Today i would like to try mining Komodo Coins with it since whattomine says its the best currently. Im trying to use suprnova pool and its tradebale on bittrex so i wanted to try, how much i can get from this Coin.

My question is: Which miner can i use with my Geforce card? I need a miner who can mine equihash and the Komodo Coin there.

thanks in advance

I have NVIDIA GTX 1060
I have miner for Windows10 x64  (https://github.com/KlausT/ccminer/releases)

How to mine DGB on skein algo ?
What should I write into the .bat file ?

Try:

ccminer.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:4933 -u YOUR.DIGIBYTE.ADDRESS.HERE -p c=DGB

You will have to adjust the application name to match your miners executable file name

How much network bandwidth does this use through your internet service provider?

Let's say you have an 8TB drive, will it transfer as much data as it takes to fill the drive.

In the United States the largest internet provider limits users to 1 TB per month then charges huge fees if you use more.

It changes all the time.  Depends on the current price/diff which there are sites that track that for you.

So my question is which site has the most accurate price/diff Huh

www.whattomine.com keeps track of a few algorithms and exchanges. It's a good place to start.

I had a small amount of BTC on the pool that shows was paid out but I didn't receive it.

Last 24 Hours Payouts: 17So1rajjkhancmRJoYnVAVKSp2XT1rtXU
Time   Amount   Tx
7h ago   0.00145419   ...
Total:   0.00145419

The TX link goes to http://zpool.ca/explorer/BTC without actually showing a transaction ID

Not sure what is going on, I haven't had this trouble in the past with payouts. Any ideas?

What happened to the netko balance on blake2s pool? All mined coins show 0 btc value.

looks like there was a fake pump, so some pump protection disabled the market. should have appropriate values

Understood, thanks for the update.
