Re: Should You Mine / Buy Bitcoin Interest BCI ? (Implemented ProgPoW) PoW+PoS

Video seemed a tad harsh.  The only coin (As far as I know) that is giving ProgPoW a go and he's comparing them to BitConnect after half an hour of research.  Really?  Might as well get a couple shots in  on OhGodAGirl while your at it too.  I would say she was instrumental in programming the algo, hence, added to the team.  She has been talking about ProgPoW for a while now.

https://medium.com/@OhGodAGirl/the-problem-with-proof-of-work-da9f0512dad9

I don't know shit about Bitcoin Interest.  Never mined it and never bought it.  I do think ProgPoW could be a good thing for the GPU community however.  I truly wonder if this type of video does more damage than good.  Amateurish at best.

Re: it's too hot in the room!

Yep, pretty much what several others have said.  A good sized fan in the window that sucks out hot air (Preferably near the ceiling as hottest air is there).  I have a lower half window that just lets cooler outside air get pulled in due to negative room pressure from the fan.  Additional fans move the cooler air around at floor level to direct it at rigs.

https://imgur.com/orUWhfc

Temperature settings in afterburner throttle the cards if I get above 72 degrees.  Not really an issue that I have seen.  I have the rigs set up on metal shelves and the floor level rigs stay several degrees cooler than the next shelf up.  If I had to do again I would eliminate the upper level rigs and keep everything floor level.

guys,

really careful about this CLEs!!

No one had see any movies about this hardware, how is works etc!

also no one had receive the hardware at home!

Im waiting about it, because we see everyday so many SCAM shit....people want money very fast....the human are greedy....so very easy to make money with this kind of PEOPLE!!!

Yep, I'm pretty neurotic about the whole scam potential with projects like these and crypto in general.  I don't think this is one however.  Between collaboration with OhGodAGirl/Company and the video below it seems to be at the very least a real company with real employees and a real physical location.  Having said that .... I'm playing the waiting game.  Will see how the first round of buyers put these things to use and what their results are.

Re: [ANN] [1080 | 1080TI] ETHlargement - The Hashrate Hardener

Having problems here .....5x8x1080TIs (EVGA SC2), five identical rigs on Windows 10. (65,-100,650) They run great for 7-10 hours at 50MHz +/- and then the rigs disconnect from ethermine and cannot reconnect until everything is shut down and restarted.  Has anyone else run into this?  Using ethminer-0.15.0.dev4.

Currently lowering clocks to no avail as of yet.  It's driving me nuts.

Use 391.35 driver with Bminer. best driver and miner for me. 397 and newer drivers were unstable for me, my problem solved after I rolled back to 391.35.

I gave Claymore Miner a go and it seems to be working out a bit better ..... so far.  If I get some more crashes in 10 or so hours I'll give the 391 drivers a shot and maybe Bminer.

Regardless, thanks for the input.

EDIT:  The newest Claymore miner and 397 Nvidia drivers was the ticket for my rigs.  Going on a couple days with no down time.  Gonna work on over/under clocks to see if I can get a bit more out of the GPUs.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank "Oh God a Company/Girl" for this exceptional level mining tool.  Looking forward to whatever else they bring to the table in the future.

MPH is currently not updating XZC site info.  Top of the dashboard page states the following ....

We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP.

Blockupdate disabled, blocks and transactions confirmations are delayed
Findblocks disabled, new blocks will currently not show up in the frontend

Makes me wonder if this miner is using some sort of exploit to increase hash rate and they are on to it.

Regardless ......
5x8x1080tis are @ 33.28-33.78 MH/s per rig
PL: 75
CC: 100
MC: 450

Mph is back and zfastminer is still the best Wink
Can you tell me if the memory clock 450 helps to get more speed on lyra2z?
I can’t find any improvement with MC,
Even if i put mc to -400 i get same speed ...
Thanks

Yep, your right.  Put one of them at -400 MC a few hours ago and it seemed to have "no" effect on hashrate.

Initially I shifted from ccminer equihash to zfastminer and didn't change any settings much less fine tune afterburner for the lyra2z algorithm.  Made a .bat and clicked .... everything worked so I went with it.  Might try lowering PL and raising CC today if I find time.

More information for those interested .....

I do like the underlying premise ...... BTC Gold will exist to take the power away from the few massive mining companies that build and mine with ASICs and give it back to the individual miners via GPUs.

Yep, the "Many toothed" blade (Like the Diablo) in a miter saw is the correct answer for a perfect cut.  I've installed a hundred shower doors and the threshold piece and header piece (made of aluminum) always need to be cut to fit.  Always used a miter saw with a wood blade that has a lot of teeth (finish Blade).  Just slow and easy ......

"Bitcoin Gold" is coming to save all the GPU miners.
/rolls eyes
BTC hard fork on 10/25 that will give BTC owners equal amounts of BG (Like Bitcoin Cash did).  Supposed to give control back to the GPU miners as it will be Equihash alg.  Don't know how they are handling difficulty.  Coming out of China ..... could just be another shitcoin.  Who knows ........

However, with a name like "Bitcoin Gold" it has to be successful ......right?
