now wallet works and is perfectly sync
Great! And thank you for posting your debug.log earlier.

They are on old blokchain and withdrawing coins on ours new wallets (5.5) means to lose everything.
The errors users are receiving seem to indicate that CoinsMarkets is not on any flappy chain. That is, either their wallet is offline or it has been corrupted by a bug like "displayed transactions may not be correct".

Quote
download the 4.1 wallet, sync it, withdraw coins from coinsmarket, backup the wallet and restore it on the new blokchain, do you think it wolud be a good way to retake my coins?
Running the 4.1 wallet won't gain you any 5.5 coins*. It would merely give you a means to receive coins to spend on services that are still on the 4.1 chain (PlayForCrypto Snake?). And until someone can show CoinsMarket is on some chain, it won't help there at all.

*One exception here: Flappy 5.5 lacks any 2-way replay protection so some 4.1 transactions could in theory be copied over. However, this attack becomes infeasible as soon as the source UTXOs are transacted once on the new chain.

I INSTALED FLAPCOIN QT 5.5.5 AND I TRANSFER FLAPCOIN TO CRYPTOHUB

BUT THE COINS NOT IN MY BALANCE IN CRYPTOHUB
I have not been testing Cryptohub, but could you paste your txid into the block crawler and make sure your transaction actually made it into the blockchain?

I have restarted wallet and now i stuck at block 1072150. Coins after february 4 still missing.
Now that this is happening to many users and even happened on one of my nodes I have taken another look. One theory is that the bootstrap featured on the Google Sites page doesn't go far enough ahead. Try this new bootstrap that goes up to today's block 1111341: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PouqAmlhlGXdVLBQMu4i8YxybraLzNiC/view?usp=sharing

1071240 is suspiciously close to the fork point (1071555). I think what's happening here is that there are nodes on the network remaining from the chaos in February and if you sync from network you can get stuck onto one of those chain forks. One way to avoid this would be to sync from bootstrap.dat as that'll get you past this point before talking to the network. I think it's a bad idea to attempt to sync without bootstrap.dat, not only because it takes much longer, but it leaves you vulnerable to these sorts of bugs or attacks. You mentioned you attempted without bootstrap.dat because:

> this becouse I had sync problems with boostrap, i decided to try without

Could you elaborate?

But somedays ago CM allowed to withdraw flappy! So even they opend the withdraw they couldn't do that?
That's correct. Nobody has been able to withdraw successfully yet.

Hello, does anybody have working link to Windows wallet? Google Drive is blocking downloads because of "virus"...

Big news today is that TradeSatoshi is up and running on the 5.5 chain, as shown on the Status page:

> FLAP  1105048   5050500      30     5      OK

Their node tends to run behind by 10 blocks and 30 confirmations are required for deposits, but yes withdrawals and deposits do work now.

wallet for Mac. Do you know a prevision for the new version?
Resolved with tucalopes a couple days ago, but should announce this for everyone: The 5.5.5 Mac wallet is available for download.

Anyone tried to withdraw coins from coinsmarkets.
Someone mentioned this on Telegram and it appears withdrawals aren't going through. Upon clicking the transaction status it shows:

> Your request to withdraw 450 [Flappycoin] to FExxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has failed. This can be reason to wrong wallet ,wallet maintenance, Coins in stake etc.

This indicates that CoinsMarkets is not on any chain and maintenance is required. A couple of us have filed support tickets but not heard back. If someone does get withdrawals to succeed please post here.

my wallet is stuck at 29hrs behind, any help will be useful
have a permanent gap from wallet and blokchain of 700/800 blokcs. In this minute, while I'm writing, wallet say " Upgraded" 1102858 blokcs processed and dont say out of sync.
Can't explain this, but others have reported similar issues. Which nodes are you connected to (run getpeerinfo in the console)? If you look at debug.log see if there are any suspicious errors while it downloads from peers. tail -f ~/.flappycoin/debug.log if you're on Linux, tail -f ~/Library/Application\ Support/Flappycoin/debug.log on Mac, or just open it repeatedly as it grows on Windows. Might be good to post on Discord/Telegram/IRC so we can troubleshoot there.

If we don't find a good explanation and the issue persists, can release a new bootstrap.dat that goes up to today's blocks.

I AND THE COMMUNITY COULD USE SOME CLARIFICATION ON WHY YOU CHOOSE TO ADD 347 BILLION PREMINED COIN INTO THE MIX. A SOLID ANSWER WILL BE APPRECIATED
Apologies, the number 347 billion came from my misreading of the code when the 5.5 fork initially landed. The actual 10000000-coin block reward section from last weekend seems to sum to 17.8 billion coins, and it was not a pre-mine. You can see the current and upcoming block rewards on the Wordpress site. Given I've been wrong before, I'd appreciate more eyes on the code to check the math and we can correct the site as needed.

As I've understood it, each block reward increase was placed in order to entice miners to join in and strengthen the coin's network, basically the same as the previous hard fork (4.1). Islapdonkey, I agree with you that the fork could have used more transparency, and Flapmin has apologized for how messy this one has been.

Hello! Has anyone tried to send coins to the exchange? in the wallet exchange come?
If you're asking about TradeSatoshi, you can log in and then view https://tradesatoshi.com/Status
As long as it says:
>  FLAP    1070204   4010000   30   1      Maintenance   re check

This means it's still on the 4.1 chain (client version 4010000) and stuck at block 1070204. Until this is resolved, although you can still trade on TradeSatoshi you cannot withdraw nor deposit FLAP. cryptohub.online is on the Flappy 5.5 chain and moving, so you can use that exchange in the meantime.

Hey guys, after a long weekend I have some breaking news here and I would like to apologize to bring us closer to a resolution.

Thanks to Chicago (Xieta) from Mincoin, we got some good eyes on the code and it's different when you expand out four lines: https://github.com/Flapmin/Flaps/blob/9acd232035ec35e72a22ac999038a8e77a660b9e/src/main.cpp#L1244-L1252

Code:
    else if(nHeight < 1036860)
    {
        nSubsidy =  420000 * COIN;
    }
    else if(nHeight < 1036860)
    {
        nSubsidy = 10000000 * COIN;
    }
    else if(nHeight < 1071555)

See that? Due to the copypaste error the second block never gets hit, saving us from an unwanted expansion of 347 billion coins.

Below that, the additional block reward changes in this fork are questionable, including a hot zone where miners receive 65 17.8 billion coins in the near term (edit: corrected similar calculation error, use these lines). However, increasing mining rewards has been the case for the last several Flappycoin forks in order to generate buzz. As this is not a pre-mine and not quadrupling the supply, it is not worth dividing the community over. We might as well go forward with the Flappy 5.5 fork.

We'll be removing the red alert from the Wordpress site shortly, and over the coming days update some links to better coordinate people to migrate to the new chain. Note there's plenty of work ahead such as migrating our block explorers and even providing a Mac wallet, so this won't happen instantly. Hopefully we can start mending now. Apologies to Flapmin, and others who did their part to ask good questions then ended up getting banned from Discord for it.

by

on 19/02/2018, 06:19:12 UTC
Hey team,

A few of us have been in touch with Flapmin to ask about the fork's strangely inserted pre-mine. Per the code linked by wailord284, these three lines were used to add more than 347 billion pre-mined coins onto a chain that from four years ago until now reached a 97.5 billion total supply. Flapmin's story has changed from this being necessary to raise funds to pay a future developer team, to not knowing that these payouts were there until we pointed it out to him today, to saying he noticed it on the first day of mining (see above post) yet he kept on mining for weeks prior to the v5.5 release. (That's right: according to the math it takes more than 24 days to mine this 34,695-block massive payout section.)

Yes, we have plenty of chat logs if you require proof. However, it is not our intention to damage Flapmin's reputation more so than he has done to himself. As a community our priority should be working together to save Flappycoin and continue making it great.

That's why I'm encouraging all of you to stick to the Flappy 4.1 wallets. Having users switch onto the newly forked chain would not merely result in coins that are of 4.5x less value due to inflation. Rather, the coins on the new chain would be orders of magnitude closer to worthless. All legitimate exchanges require coins to disclose pre-mines and have sufficient code auditing to ensure such broken coins do not get on there.

If you have been holding out for a swap to PoS and believe this sacrifice is worthwhile to get there, that may be in vain as well. You can take a look at the code diffs yourself, and post here if you spot any changes related to supporting PoS now or in the future.

We'll continue maintaining the Flappy 4.1 wallets and all ecosystem links (block explorer, pools) on the Wordpress site:

http://flappyco.in
or https://flappycoins.wordpress.com

On the bright side the forked wallets do have some improvements, particularly the new snazzy artwork by DaGoOfMan. We won't be losing this all, as I expect to incorporate the new graphical assets into an upcoming Flappy "4.2" wallet. Watch the above site, this thread, and the Flappycoin subreddit to stay abreast of developments.

If you're pool-mining, the block reward has dropped back down to 1000 FLAP. Other than trading there are still plenty of other ways to accumulate Flappycoins: faucets, play Snake, play Flappy Bird. See links on the coin website(s).

I saw something about CRYPTOPIA listing. in the this thread. Has that been submitted already for listing?
...
Soon? So they've already sent in requirements for this?"
Heard on Discord: When we applied they required a minimum of $6000 USD. This was some time ago and maybe could be renegotiated. I'm not a Cryptopia user but was told they don't even trade LTC-DOGE anymore, so there's less value in working with an exchange like that.

There are two Flappy Coins? And Lemmings, or so?
There is only one active Flappycoin at the moment: FLAP (PoW). FLAPS (PoS) and its whitepaper/related details have yet to be released, so questions about the stake reward or swap ratio will likely be answered when that happens. I'm not an authority and do not know when that will be. Lemmings is a separate coin but you can also mine it on the 165.227.51.119 pool.

Quote
How much are out there? 80 Billion? Who owns those?
edit: 97.5 billion. The 70+ billion majority of these had no pre-mine but were mined throughout Flappy's first golden age, with these block rewards. The remaining 15+ billion have been mined by the community here since the revival in April.

Quote
Are there any plans to make it a ingame currency/reward somehow?
Yes, Snake for Flappy is available now (although yes that's hardly "in-game"). Other ideas in this thread are in ongoing development. Join the #game-development channel on our Discord for more info.

I haven't managed to set this up yet, can you explain how?

1. Recently I've heard a couple requests for a Linux wallet, so I built the Qt5 one for Ubuntu 16.04: download here. It took about an hour to sync the blocks from bootstrap.dat on an old laptop. This time I got db4.8 building locally so you don't need to worry about an old wallet.dat being incompatible with db5.3

2.
I don't see the source code
It's here. edit: Looks like choisunam is a bot or a troll. See wailord824's post back on page 23 at July 27, 2017, 02:56:38 PM.

3.
I tried to read threw most of the pages but didn't see if the SPLIT ever occurred?
Do you mean a hard fork? We had several of those in 2017 and it seems the whole community has migrated to Flappy SP4.1. If PoS comes around yes it'll require another fork, or swap.

4.
I decided to make a game something like "flappies vs zombies"  but not only flappies,  all cryptohub coins will be there  Cheesy

I will try to show a demo version as soon as possible
Anyone know if this is still in progress? Sounded promising.

Quote
Someone has animation sprites of flappy?
startsts if you're still around: you can rip sprites from the various HTML5 Flappy games. See some that I posted a few pages back: https://github.com/hanzou-x/hanzou-x.github.io

5. More on gamedev status: there's a link on the Wordpress site saying Snake Game "earn Flappycoins by playing Snake" but instead it goes to the 2014 Flappycoin JS game. I think we ought to catch up on building games with Flappycoin integrated for payment and payouts, and am looking for a starting point. Edit: Okay I realized this was meant to point to http://playforcrypto.com and have fixed this up on Community -> Useful Links. Too bad doesn't help with getting source code for some sample game integrations.

6. With some exchanges down or others not taking new registrations, new users have arrived looking to trade Flappycoin for LTC the old-fashioned way. Some of you with millions of FLAP and willing to sell, could you log on Discord and lend a hand?

Hi team, this is overdue but I've built an updated Mac wallet. Get it here on GitHub.

Is there any desire here for a thin client, like an electrum-flap? Considering how long it takes to sync this blockchain I think there should be.

Can anyone please supply valid nodes ? They are not included in the last wallet as was suggested
(at least not working ones) so I cant get my wallet to sync at all.
NODES Huh? ANYONE Huh
I feel your pain. Someone was kind enough to post this on Discord: flappycoin.conf

I'm a real newbie at this. At the risk of pissing off some people off here, can someone tell me where to find a basic guide on mining Flappycoin.
No worries, I asked similar questions when I got here. For basic CPU mining some getting started instructions are included where you download the wallet. For solo GPU mining look around where uBm answered with an example on page 15 of this thread. Join us on Discord and ask more questions when you're stuck.

Who konw the exact amount of this coin? I cant find it.
The total number of coins in existence? Run gettxoutsetinfo. It's about 80 billion.

When I try to build this in Ubuntu 16.04 from the source:

$ ./autogen.sh

...

$./configure
outputs: configure: error: cannot find install-sh, install.sh, or shtool in src/build-aux "."/src/build-aux
(probably because autogen had the error-and-failure-with-exit mentioned at the top).
Did you eventually get this working?

Yeah, the old Bitcoin source contains autogen.sh and configure, but those aren't meant to be run. If they were, we'd be using a generated Makefile instead of make -f makefile.unix. You just need to follow the instructions as described in doc/build-unix.md, or build/readme-qt.rst for the Qt build, which I presume is what startsts did above and what a couple of us did for Raspberry Pi builds a while ago.

Basically,
Code:
sudo apt install libdb5.3++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libssl-dev
cd src; make -f makefile.unix
(with the usual caveat that if you use DB5.3 don't try to load an existing DB4.8 wallet).

Also, an issues page at the Github would probably be useful because this situation and similar ones is probably likely to arise again.
Agreed, Flapmin can you enable the issues tab on https://github.com/Flapmin/Flaps ?

I have edit access (albeit not admin access) so I can make any changes you need there.

updates to the code but mostly updates to the gui and gui functionality . specifically games and web content in wallet and a way to spend flap classic directly ... kinda like the playstore
Would like more details on how this is supposed to work.

I posted some HTML5 Flappy games earlier in this thread and was thinking about easily putting some free ones into the wallet via Qt WebEngine. Would require later versions of Qt 5 though since they are deprecating QtWebKit in favor of QtWebEngine.

spartagates, my next step there would be to look at the logs from Debug window -> Debug log file -> Open. To make sure you can find what stalls on syncing that block you could clear the log, delete peers.dat, and only add nodes to your flappycoin.conf or command-line that we know to be valid with proto-version 1111337.

important: blockcrawler is now ona new subdomain due to problems of my hoster.
http://blockcrawler.infinityfree.io/
The Wordpress site is already updated to the new link, while the Google Sites page still points to http://blockcrawler.rf.gd/

Fortunately the latter appears to be back up now. Which should we point to go going forward?

http://blockcrawler.rf.gd/ is down for me as well. uBm can you report on the status of this? And for future reference is there a repo on github for your blockcrawler code/config?

got a change request to p2pool node:
(payout period 24 hours is really a bit long, people can mine a short period and get paid out very long.)
change 24h to 6 h we can also give a higher spread. and targetlookbehind could be more like 120 instead of 200.
FYI I still intend to get around to testing these settings in my p2pool repo, unless someone has already done this.

p2pool creates the coins directly inthe miner´s wallet. , so no payout needed.
Ahh yeah I think I mentioned that here on July 25th:
From what I can tell p2pool sets the multi-recipient payouts directly in the block reward tx, so it isn't subject to any transaction fee there.
I'm still surprised that UNOMP does something different.

EDIT: BTW, if the block reward until the 789555 block was of 25000 flaps, why I only received 12,500 Flaps in each block I discovered in solo mining?
Looks like there was a typo on the Wordpress page. I've corrected it to say 12500 for that range.

my flappy wallet is saying        Warning: This version is obsolete, upgrade required!      ?
It spawns that message here in the code:
Code:
   // Check the version of the last 100 blocks to see if we need to upgrade:
    if (!fIsInitialDownload)
    {
...
        if (nUpgraded > 0)
            printf("SetBestChain: %d of last 100 blocks above version %d\n", nUpgraded, CBlock::CU
RRENT_VERSION);
        if (nUpgraded > 100/2)
            // strMiscWarning is read by GetWarnings(), called by Qt and the JSON-RPC code to warn
 the user:
            strMiscWarning = _("Warning: This version is obsolete, upgrade required!");
    }
Doesn't it just refer to an instant when you're mining on a stale version of the chain and need to download the latest block(s)? That is, it would be expected to show up once in a while as the chain advances every minute and we don't have infinitely efficient network communication.

However if the message just spams endlessly, that could be a problem.

I've hit a wall or two trying to embed the old flappycoin game into either site.

The new Google Sites doesn't support custom JavaScript nor iframes. For the Wordpress site it would require installing a plugin, which requires upgrading to the business plan. At some point I thought I found a workaround as iframes worked in preview mode, but then it would replace the iframe with a plain hyperlink as soon as I hit the Publish button.

I guess we shouldn't expect much from free hosting. Meanwhile here are the browser games I've found and built off Github to date: https://hanzou-x.github.io/

What is the use of the coin ?
it has a gaming background
Yeah, this part seems most appealing. Consider they made a Flappy Bird MMO that pays Flappycoins back then, and today it's even easier to build substantial indie games.

For starters I was looking into the old Flappycoin front-page interactive game. The JavaScript at https://github.com/flappycoin-project/flappycoin-game actually still works in modern browsers. However, I'm not sure of the best way to import it into Wordpress or a Google sites page. Does anyone have experience with this?

Mac Qt 5.9 wallet has been built and packaged. I made it compatible with OS X 10.9 onward, although have so far only tested on macOS 10.12 Sierra. I've updated both the Wordpress and Google sites pages to link to the newer SP2 wallets.

While I was at it, I also edited the Wordpress front page to report the current block rewards.

hey so do you guys have  a p2p pool up and going or are you mining over here . if you have a working pool id like to throw some hash on in and perhaps use it as a failover , if you dont mind people mining ill add it to the first page
I've been leaning on wailord284 to set up the primary persist=True p2pool node. wailord284 do you have it running stably for proto=1111337 (SP2)?
