Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams?
by

Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

Hello everybody. I think everyone who has ever been involved in cryptocurrency investments is interested in the question of how to protect themselves from scams and loss of money. Recently I learned about the CheckDot project, which creates a platform with which it will be possible to get an assessment of any project in the blockchain world. In theory, this way you can get rid of a lot of scams, but does it help?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

It is possible if you do an intensive research about the project.

I just currently finished doing my research on one project just now and decided not to invest in it. Basically, I look for
their whitepaper, Partners (I'm looking for something big here), Developers and team that are actually showing their face much better if it is in a video AMA, and I also join their community eavesdropping their convo and looking for something shady.

So for me that's all, still haven't been scammed luckily.

Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading

I have been trading for a long time. However, it is not always possible to benefit. In some cases there is a possibility of loss. After facing huge losses, I have benefited again after a long time. Bought 3k$ from a seller with current price of k 10k$. However, the dollars have not been set at present. Currently using trading. So I think the most beneficial. What do you think?

Yes, it is possible as long as you have a good plan.

A plan that you will follow no matter what greed or fear you may felt. That plan must include the correct risk and reward ratio so you don't lose all of your capital when bad times
happen that some trades aren't going to what it should be.

Just focus on building your trading plan right now, develop a R:R ratio and stick to it.

Re: Learn more about trading

What are some of the best ways to learn more about trading?

Before, I read books like trading for dummies. for dummies book series has all the answer I think.

Also, aside from that I studied a lot of indicators by watching youtube and searching the web.
While reading and studying, I usually apply it in Tradingview charts.
I watch charts, applied some indicators, check the results, develop some plan, analyze Risk and reward and everything.

I also try to paper trade and if I can see that my trading plan is good then I enter the market.

There's also a free paper trading for crypto inside the Tradingview. You should utilize that.

Nobody can tell, but you know what "Bitcoin hashrate hits it's ATH just now  Shocked"

Additionally, I am an optimistic person and I always think that BTC will have a continuous ATH every year or every 2 years.
so yeah, in my own view I will say we will expect a price appreciation of around 2x to 3x this year.

Enjoy the market.

Bitcoin is the Most popular cryptocurrency that ever existed and has given birth to many other cryptoassets. But lately it seems bitcointalk hasn't really met the masses expectations about it price shooting up soon. What do y'all think about the price of Bitcoin at the end of this year? Will it appreciate or depreciate?
You suggestions bare needed.

I think you want to say 2022  Wink

But yeah, end of 2022 I think the price will 2x to 3x. I can say so, because of the adaptation happening around the world.
Bitcoin hash rate made a new ATH, Adoptation of Latin Countries and more.

Nothing wills top BTC from going up.

Re: Meme coins still makes you rich or end of trend?
by

Once people was crazy about meme coin. After publishing lots of article, videos Against meme coins as cautioins, and after knowing that such step would be risky but they keep invested on such coins for earn quick money. Doge was pumped after elon tweet but dump again. now it seems people are more careful than before and most of memcoins got flop. so holding meme coins still make you rich or soon it'll be end of meme trend?

Holding meme coin is devastating, but shorting it in leverage or futures trading is profitable after
a pump from guys like elon.

Also, there's no point in holding meme coin, as there's no use for it and basically it is a meme.

I have lost all my capital to trading but still yet I feel the urge to trade more, I spent a huge capital to trade some new coins recently and was actively involved in spot trading. But recently I lost all my capital and I decided to give a break but now am feeling I should return back to trading.

There's a very small chance for you to lose all your capital in spot trading.

But if you bought some shady coins, then yeah you will lose most of it. My strategy is to only buy crypto not more than the top 150.
I also, invested in 1 new project that I believed so much, and I don't feel that it is a wrong decision.

What I can advice for you is to stop trading and start hodling your crypto

I wanna ask you all, are all ready to ride on the Bulls horn again?

As always and will be forever bullish when it comes to BTC.

I was able to buy more last week and last 2 weeks ago when price falls down a little, so lucky to
buy it on discounts. I was also able to load my bag with some altcoins I've been looking for for awhile.

We can also feel that a lot of countries are adopting the use of crypto currency especially bitcoin including Brazil one of the biggest economy in the world.

Let's get this year hit 200K for BTC.

Hello bitcointalknairs please I will like to get clarifications on something, I received an email from trading brokers that I can lunge my funds with them and they execute trades on my behalf but I am afraid of the legitimacy of such services because most of them always turn out to be scammers.
What is your experience with trading brokers?

Is it a trading brokers for cyrpto?

If it is then big chance is that, it is a scam. You should never send your crypto other than your own wallet.

Also, you can do your own trading and if you don't have time
doing that you can simply hold your crypto and wait for the price to appreciate. Both choices are better than
sending your crypto to someone.

You can actually look for prospect casino sites, then perform an intensive research with regards to it.

I usually do that, I look for the site which is kind of good, then check for reviews, if it has documentation,
did somebody was able to withdraw and
so on.

Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor!

If you're still primarily holding fiat, you're not paying attention to what we do here on a daily basis. Inflation, according to Elon Musk, is the most regressive of all the tasks. The US dollar has been the strongest currency for the past 100 years, yet it has lost 95% of its purchasing value since 1913. Fiat currency will always lose value over time, but cryptocurrency will always gain value over time; the two are moving in different directions. According to recent studies, 40% of all US dollars in circulation were printed in the last twelve months. Every day, they are printing away our wealth. Opt out and invest in cryptocurrency instead.

https://i.imgur.com/tu8FDsQ.jpeg
It actually depends.

Yes, Fiat is inflationary as f. but some crypto currencies has bigger inflation rate than that.

We can normally see that crypto has 15-30% inflation rate per year and currently fiat is around 4-10%.
So with regards to inflation, crypto has bigger inflation rate. But crypto and fiat are different, Crypto is like an asset that where the
price increase, just like stocks or share. but in fiat you can't do that.

Anyway, I also don't like fiat and mostly all of my money are in crypto now aside from the ones I need to use for survival and normal living.

I have a few capital and I will like to know the proper token to venture in. Am unused to NFTs and will cherish to induce your supposition on which NFT to purchase for a brief term bas

Since you got a few capital. I would only recommend to invest it in medium cap cryptos for much more return.

Currently, I am looking at CELO. I think it might be the next thing like terra. But please DYOR.
you can also check other cryptos around the same mcap as celo.

refrain from investing in shitcoins.

Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble?
by

When basic technologies such as AR and VR are not yet mature, are all the metaverse projects in the market a bubble?

Can $SAND $MANA still be invested?
For a person like me, I don't see the value of NFT or metaverse.

But talking about profit, Metaverse will get it's year when some companies like Meta released their metaverse. Sand and Mana are currently overvalued
and investing in them brings a high risk, it may fall anytime due to the fact that it is a metaverse just like a game and people tend to lose interest in that kind of stuff.

What are the Differences of Cosmos and Polkadot
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 15:01:32 UTC
As we all know, there are crypto currency blockchains which is so big and hard to understand, just like Cosmos and Polkadot.

I know that both of them are targeting for blockchain interoperability, but I saw that too many people are still saying that there are differences with those 2.
I tried to scour the internet and saw some differences but it is too technical and can't understand much of it.

*So can anyone with great knowledge about this 2 blockchain give us the differences?
*Do you prefer one over the other?
*In terms of long term investment what will you choose?

Re: Future of the NFTs
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 14:55:03 UTC
As the year 2021 is coming to an end what is the future for the new rave of the moment NFTs which seems to have taken over the cryptocurrency market in 2021 as the new year 2022 is coming and a lot of projects coming up what do we expect to see in the coming year will NFTs continue to drive or a new wave is coming?

I saw a thread here asking, why there's so much hate in NFT's and he's getting irritated by the hate. I hope he doesn't see me posting here.

So for me I don't find a future for NFT's, I don't get why people use millions of dollars just to buy a
picture or a clipart that only says you own it in the blockchain. I don't get why the price is like that without any use case at all. If NFT's has use
then I will be looking at it.

But as far as investment wise. When Meta(Facebook) released their metaverse and started advertising it, people will know more about NFT and NFT will rise but in the long run,
it still doesn't have use and will be just like a bubble.

Re: Why do you use stable coins?
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 14:45:31 UTC
Hi, I'm a normie who finally got into crypto in nov 2021. But I don't get stable coins. When you sell your crypto, why don't you just convert back to fiat and put that fiat into your bank account right away? I worry about stable coins becoming un-pegged; this is a big concern for me; it's an extra worry that you don't have if you just convert back to fiat right away.

I can see using stable coins as a trading pair to purchase alts on a dex but I don't understand holding stable coins for longer periods of time like weeks, months or years as a store of value; to me this feels way too risky. What am I missing?

Might be different if you could do a lot of your every-day normal shopping with stable coins but right now you can't.

Because it's need to buy another crypto.

It s much more expensive to buy using your fiat directly to crypto by using third party payment processing system.
It is much more better if you buy a stable coin same value as your fiat, then buy crypto and if you want to sell then sell it for stable if your just planning
to buy another crypto again in no time.

There's no point of withdrawing your money everytime you sell and depositing from bank everytime you want to buy.

Re: Do you invest in new projects?
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 14:22:19 UTC

Bitcoin and Ethereum are overvalued. Many altcoins have much more potential for growth.
But it is necessary to check everything before investing.
Also, NFT does not depend too much on the conditions of the cryptocurrency market and continues to develop.
A lot of interesting NFT collections appear like this https://twitter.com/1stOnTheMoon/status/1472286513195016204

The new project is in demand because they allow earning much profit, but it is very important to evaluate the future potential of the project.
Before investing it is necessary to check everything not to invest money in scams. Now there are a lot of scams appear and it is necessary to be very carefully.

Because bitcoin is overvalued many people prefer to invest in new projects to have maximum profit from investment.
But investment in new projects are very risky.
It is very important to evaluate the future potential of the project in a right way not to lose money on investment.

Bitcoin aren't overvalued, but it has a high marketcap that you will not get that same amount of money you will get from a new project.

Investment in new projects are only risky when you didn't understand their use and if they have use at all.

But yeah I agree with you that it is very important to study before investing some in it.

Re: Buy the dip or keep waiting?
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 14:15:50 UTC

This time last week I was reading articles and watching youtube videos saying how certain coins were a great price and could 5x 10x or even 20x this year, so surely now is a good time buy?
First thing I did when I was a newbie in Crypto (Started 2020), I always watch YouTube channels from creators that are shilling crypto currencies and
find put that you will actually not profit from it. Now what I do is to perform my own research on every crypto I like, read the white paper, check the team background and everything before deciding to buy.

Right now I know for sure that crypto will still go beyond that 20x, but we don't know when.

I am just wondering what everyone else is doing at the moment? Are you buying now or do you feel the market is only going to keep falling over the next few weeks/months and we should wait a while longer?

Lats week I started buying again, since we should be buying when its red and currently on discount. Right now I'm just sitting in
my bag and enjoying the world of crypto, started posting in this forum.

I think right now is still a good time to buy, cause there aren't a bad time to buy right? as long as you're looking for a long term plan.

Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 14:08:40 UTC
The number one thing is to know how much capital I have and how long can I invest in it

For me I always set my Capital at 60-70% of my whole cash flow every month to maximize the growth, but  by doing this will also maximize
the risk. That's why I diversified it and each diversified capital has a risk level and time to keeping it invested.

Like for example I have 60% BTC in my total portfolio, that is a long term investment with less risk and less reward, since it is a higher market cap crypto.
30% on medium term investment like the ones in the top 20 crypto currencies
and remaining percentage on low caps but not the one that will go beyond top 150.

Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ?
by
hodllord
on 16/01/2022, 14:02:11 UTC
Hey, I am wondering is it truly possible that my BTC works for me , without revealing my private keys and also without KYC ?
I have read and heard about similar things but they seem more like a Ponzi scheme.
Does anybody have any experience with a non-custodia platform/wallet /swap which does not require KYC but supports BTC ?

A privacy concerned BTC fan.

I believed there's no way for you to earn something from your BTC aside from price appreciation.

But you can wrap your BTC and supply it in lending and borrowing Daaps that will earn interest overtime. Daaps doesn't have KYC so
that would be appropriate for a privacy enthusiast like you.

The only catch here is that, what if the smart contract you've put your BTC had been hacked. So only put it in trusted Defi's which
had been audited by known auditors.
