Re: The economy is about competition

You are right in giving an example of economic competition on a small scale, I agree with that because of course the better and higher quality products offered compared to other competitors' products, the more successful your business will be, but that is not entirely true on a global scale or competition between countries, it is not necessarily true that if country A experiences a downturn it will benefit country B. In reality, currently many countries are working together.

Re: Is Bitcoin just for the rich?

Lol BTC is not only for the rich, but for now it has gotten to a level whereby common people may not be able to afford it, so it is better to look for other things to invest in.
Right, those who say Bitcoin is only for the rich are very stupid and don't know anything about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency, so anyone can purchase any amount of Bitcoin from anywhere according to their ability. There is no barrier to this: if rich people have more money, they will buy more Bitcoin, and if poor people have less money, they will buy fewer Bitcoins. Since Bitcoin is not controlled by any third party, anyone from anywhere in the world can purchase Bitcoin as they wish. Therefore, Bitcoin is universal.

You are right, the difference lies only in the amount of bitcoin they can produce. Rich people will certainly collect more and get more profit from bitcoin investment compared to those with lower middle incomes (I will not call them poor people because the word poor means that it will be difficult to even make ends meet let alone invest in bitcoin). Back to the discussion, the point is that anyone can buy bitcoin with any nominal value as long as they are interested.

Re: Would you adopt Bitcoins flexibility?
by

It's legality status of Bitcoin and its use cases in a nation that can be legal, ilegal or alegal.

The magic fact is with Bitcoin blockchain and a non-custodial wallet as well as Tor connection, you can use your bitcoins without engagement and need of approval from any centralized entity. Government even don't know what you do too but surely if Bitcoin and a use case are illegal in your nation, you must learn more, become more knowledgeable about Bitcoin blockchain, wallets, and how to practice with UTXOs, in order to make sure that your practice will not lead you to big legal troubles.

This is about regulations for businesses and entrepreneurs. Yes I know that in countries that prohibit Bitcoin use, they (Bitcoin users) can still receive and send Bitcoin. However for businesses and companies, they will be monitored by the government. If the local government does not allow the use of Bitcoin as legal tender for their business, they must comply. Violations can result in sanctions or even bankruptcy, as the government is ruthless.
The bottom line is regulation.

Re: CONMEBOL 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification (South America)

There are five qualifying matches today, and these are the odds.

The match between Paraguay and Ecuador looks like it could be a great game
The odds are pretty even, and I would even dare to say that it might be worth betting on Ecuador

Is anyone betting today? If so, share your tips

I'd like to try placing Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil in a parlay. The odds aren't particularly high, only 2.11, but they're decent and low-risk, as each team will be playing at home. I expect Ancelotti's Brazil to perform well here. Paraguay vs Ecuador is a tough match. Both teams are strong, but considering their recent encounters, I think Paraguay is worth betting on. Oh, and I understand this is the final qualifier, right? So, their match will definitely be close.

Re: Do casinos make more money when the price of Bitcoin drops?
by

There's no definitive data to answer your question, as only the casino truly knows. I speculate that if a large number of Bitcoin gamblers lose and the casino keeps the Bitcoin from those gamblers losses, the casino could profit significantly from the Bitcoin price drop and wait for the price to rise again but is it likely that Bitcoin gamblers will gamble in such market conditions? Personally, I would reduce the frequency of using Bitcoin for gambling.
But I believe that regardless of whether the Bitcoin price rises or not the casino will still profit as this is a business.

Re: ? Premier League 2024/2025 Discussion Thread ?

-snip-
My main focus is that their defence, they don't have the quality to protect that backline, just watch their games and see opponents usually dismantle the defence with ease.

Yes, this is what is always on my mind, even though their defense looks much better than last season, but with a defense like that, it still doesn't seem to be competitive enough in the Premier League competition and another thing that bothers me is why Amorim still uses his mainstay 3-defender formation which I actually think is not successful, as far as I remember, only Conte successfully implemented this formation in the Premier League a few years ago. Is it possible that this is all Amorim can do or is it true that United current defenders don't fully meet the criteria?

Milan certainly did a good football market, but I honestly didn't like all the players bought, a lot of money spent but I don't see a real improvement in the team. Their objective will be to return to the Champions League next year and it will be very difficult to see them fighting for the Scudetto.

Milan are at the top of the spending list in this transfer window, bringing in nine players at average prices but their revenue is significantly higher. This means they're making a decent profit but with a squad like that, they're far from being a strong contender. Bookmakers are also offering them odds of 8.00, suggesting they're only prepared to compete in the top four. Fortunately they're focused on just one competition so they can capitalize on this situation.

Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2025/26

on 03/09/2025, 19:53:06 UTC
The truth is Braga is not a title contender when it comes to the Portuguese league they have become a top four team and has not been able to break out from that place, this is because Braga are not ambitious enough to win and you can see that in their signing because a team that wants to win is known by the quality of players that they bring to their team at best Braga will end up finishing in fourth place behind Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Porto.

This image clearly shows that Braga isn't a strong title contender. They're ranked fourth in market value, consistently finishing in fourth or third place at the end of the season. It's like a curse that they'll always be in that spot.
Whether they're playing it safe or simply lacking ambition, as you suggest, given the club financial stability and the support from Qatar Sports, they should be able to invest more to further strengthen their competitive edge.

Re: The two most important properties of Bitcoin
by

Bitcoin is easy to store and carry around. You simply need to remember your 12-word wallet phrase and store large amounts of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has the advantage of profitability. It's decentralized, like a bank with only you in control. Gold, on the other hand, isn't easy to store in large amounts; criminals can easily steal your gold. But that doesn't mean gold is bad. It remains a leading investment asset today as a safe haven. Both assets have their own value, and investing in both is much better.

I don't think so, considering Hojlund needs playing time, why wait for Lukaku to get injured before he can play? He'll likely alternate with Lukaku as the target man or they could play together but considering neither player has another position to play, it's quite risky to take such a step. Conte must have a plan to harness his potential.

Anthony loves Betis more than he loved United. He deserves a spot in the main squad, and happy to see him back in La Liga after a very long drama between Betis and MU. He has even rejected Bayern's €7m yearly offer. It proves his follow his passion instead of focusing on the monetary.
I think he will give everything to the Betis, and that's what i expect to him. He will get his confidence back, play better, and help Betis to step up.

He deserves to be treated well in his new club. I hope he will able to work as when he made it to the final of Conference league. Wish him luck.

Antony is finally back. Real Betis has become a happy home for him. It was not in vain that Antony went to Betis on loan last season because in the end he rediscovered what was lost. I want to see his duet with Isco again, which has managed to put on a great show before. It's okay if he only plays for a mid-table team, the most important thing is that Antony can continue to provide consistent performance. Congratulations to Betis on this successful transfer.

We all know that Leverkusen and Fenerbahce have cut ties with their respective coaches. I just saw from Fabrizio post that both teams are planning to bring in Ange Postecoglou as coach. Ange may not be a top-tier coach but she capable of delivering a UEFA title to Spurs. I think she can speak volumes in both Germany and Turkey but I'm curious to know which league you think she should choose? Personally I would choose the Bundesliga because it's certainly more competitive than the Turkish league.

Yesterday's defeat could not be judged as a failure but the defeat against Liverpool reduced Arsenal's chances of trying to win the title this season.
Arsenal's attack line performance is good but like can't take advantage of good opportunities against equivalent clubs like Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta must give a little change to the attack line if it does have the motivation to try to win the title this season.

Yes they're currently trailing Liverpool, but that doesn't mean they're doomed, as there are still 35 games remaining. What's clear is that Arsenal must be much better than last season. They must be consistent and avoid losing their rhythm midway through the season as they have done previously. Likewise Gyokeres must perform consistently as he is the spearhead and key to Arsenal title hopes.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season
by

on 03/09/2025, 13:46:12 UTC

The Champions League is strange this year. There are so many teams that can do well. One team that I really like is Liverpool. They have made some pretty expensive purchases and can compete in many different leagues while always remaining at the top.

Hey man, where's that weird? It would be great if the teams participating in the championship showed their best performance this year, as this would make the competition even more competitive. Liverpool certainly shouldn't be left out of the list of champions, in fact their chances of winning are number one, making them the favorites. Bookmakers know that Liverpool has spent a lot of money in the summer transfer window to strengthen their squad. Isak has officially become their newest player and most expensive purchase. With what they have spent, their target is the UCL trophy.

Re: Diversify your assets.
by

on 02/09/2025, 19:04:36 UTC

As far as I know diversification is for everybody, unless you are not a human being. As a new investor having another source of income aside from your Bitcoin investment is exactly what would going to help you hold for future. Because you can't just rely on one thing, as long as you are planning to invest in Bitcoin is also very important to have something that would be fetching you money so that Incase if any emergencies arise you would be able handle it without touching your Bitcoin investment.

Yes it is true that diversification is suitable for everyone, but more precisely, it is suitable for those with middle to upper financial levels because success depends on the capital invested. Of course, diversifying assets is much better to cover the failure of one investment. As the saying goes, don't put your eggs in one basket, but for those with limited income, it is more efficient to concentrate on one asset with solid fundamentals rather than dividing it into 5 places and getting nothing. Sometimes one investment can also be very valuable if you really get the right asset.

Now, I want to know your predictions for the next match between Manchester City and Manchester United. It's sure to be an exciting match. Will you bet on a Manchester United win or a Manchester City win? It's sure to be a very interesting match, as Amorim and Pep will devise a good strategy to defeat their opponents.

Still haven't found the right betting option for this match. Both teams haven't been able to 100% convince bettors with their recent performances, which I personally haven't been very impressive. However Manchester City has the advantage here because this match will be held at home and they're aiming for a win to close the gap on points with Liverpool. There are still a few days left to decide on their bets. I expect this match to deliver a heated drama from both teams.

He was also playing with a team that wasn't exactly a great one, so if he didn't win against Genoa, they could have just retired. This team, Juventus, is light years away from the mentality of the old Juventus. It really seems like a different team.

Juventus is currently no longer the Juventus of the 19/20 edition which was the last year they won the title, yes they are no longer a team that can be relied upon in tight competition, not without reason, currently their finances have not fully recovered with this condition of course they have difficulty building a strong team, but that does not mean they cannot rise again, I see that this season they have the potential to compete tightly because they look better than last season.

Donnarumma departure has finally come to fruition. He is now officially a Man City player. His move to the English club will improve the team's performance in the Premier League, and I'm confident of that, as the goalkeeper has already proven his prowess. Considering Trafford's less-than-satisfactory performances in Man City three matches, I think he will be second only to Donnarumma. Donnarumma has Fenerbahce to thank for the success of this contract.

Re: Parlays vs straight bets
by

Coming back to each bettor's perspective and expertise, both parlays and straight bets can provide value if you are good at analyzing. I personally prefer parlay bets, not that I'm an expert, but I just want more adrenaline when betting. Usually, 3 to 4 matches per week are enough with the small capital I can afford. But of course, in the long run, straight bets provide more opportunities, and indeed, most professional gamblers usually focus on straight bets or moneylines.

Even though I am not a fan of Erik Ten Hag, it is unfair for Bayer Leverkusen management to sack him after two matches because Bayer Leverkusen key players left the club, and it will be difficult for Erik Ten Hag to get good results immediately at Bayer Leverkusen. Bayer Leverkusen management should have given Erik Ten Hag little time to prove himself and if he fails to do that, that's when they should have taken the decision to sack him.

I think management had other considerations regarding Ten Hag dismissal, not just his failure in the first two matches. Perhaps there were things we don't know about within Leverkusen. The only reason I can think of for this dismissal is that Ten Hag vision and management weren't aligned.
Yes, in this case, you're also right to give Ten Hag time to prove himself. There's nothing wrong with that, but remember, Leverkusen isn't a team with strong finances. If Ten Hag fails this season, Leverkusen will revert to the team it was three years ago. That's why they took swift action.
