I don't think so. It seems to me like a correction.
I want to be wrong, but most likely the market will fall at least to $150kkk or somewhere near to that in the nearest future. I expect that price for BTC and ETH will be somewhere around $3k and $100 accordingly.
Nevertheless, no one knows where market will go. So, the best strategy now is to buy gradually during the fall and sell gradually on pumps. And as I already said, now is a very good time to start selling some of your ETH.

They are both good as an investment, but I personally prefer ETH more than BTC. ETH has more use, including that you always can trade using it or participate in ICOs with it. ETH markets are on all exchanges along with BTC and USDT pairs.
But despite that, BTC is "our king" and probably it is worth considering to buy both of them for hold. And taking into account current market condition, when I say "for hold", the "hold" will be rather long term than short term

What is behind it? Speculation I think. In my opinion, it is the main reason for market volatility. And like everything in our life, this has two opposite sides. Right now we see bad side of that - market downtrend and as a result total panic, grim mood, disappointment, frustration, crypto-depression.
But because of the same manipulation, we had such a wonderful summer and autumn 2017! When my bag did x10 even without any help from my side . And taking all of that into account, it isn't over yet. There will be other pumps and dumps, we just should be ready and keep our eyes open.

Everything depends on your personal situation. It is very hard to give you any advice not knowing all the details, also I think it would be illegal since I am not a financial advisor
But i can tell you about my situation and thoughts. I sold almost everything already. Less than 10% of my investment still in crypto. And only because I have some part of my coins is locked one way or another.
But I still believe in crypto-future and I am just waiting for a right moment to come back.

Totally agree with previous comments here. It's possible to earn a lot of many in crypto (at least it was possible some time ago), but the earnings were and are unstable. Also there is always a risk of losing part of invested funds or even all. And this is a risk which we must take or leave the crypto-market.
So, if you have not earned enough to survive a long downtrend and don't have other source of income, it is very bad idea to quit our main job.

Right now it is pointless to partisipate in ICOs. Almost all coins go under ICO price after entering the market and are floating there without signs of life. So, it is more profitable to buy them from exchange than during ICO.
But it is important to keep an eye on upcoming ICO in case some potentially interesting project will show up. But now more than ever, projects for investment need to be selected with extreme caution and care. After all, it is better not to earn additional money than to lose them.

There so many of them: advertising of different kind, bounties, participation in conferences, other events, airdrops.
And I think airdrops are one of the most useful way to spread awareness about the projects. But as everything, they should be well thought out. Also, it does not make sense to conduct airdrop on its own. It should be done along with others activities I have mentioned earlier.
Another thing is that there are a lot of weak projects which carrie out only one or two activities like airdrop or/and bounty, since they aren't able to do more than that. Well, in this case, their coins will be sold immediately as they appear on the market

The situation is ambiguous and no one can say for sure what to expect from the market. But, I don't think we will see the market grows anytime soon. Most likely coin price will go even deeper. Taking this into account, it isn't a bad idea to go to USDT or fiat.
I have already sold all my coins including ETH and now I am waiting when uptrend starts. So, I am voting for selling ETH, BTC and other coins and waiting for a better time, whenever it came...

So, play it safe - decide which price is comfortable for you right now and buy ETH, but do iteratively with some time lag (for example a week). And each week revise your comfortable price zone. If price higher, then just wait for the appropriate time.
Basically, you need a strategy. It will help you to eliminate impulsive actions and give confidence. But don't forget to adjust your strategy periodically.

It is very interesting philosophical question ). No one can say for sure what would be the BTC price and market dominance even in a month. And price prediction for long term is million times harder then for short term.
But I also have a guess ). I think that after some point, for example when BTC price will be near to $3000, the dominance of BTC will be about 90%. And after that we will see a gradual and constant market growth and reducing dominance of BTC to current value. Of course, there will be local falls and ups, but in general it will be slow but steady growth with an increase in the weight of altcoins.

There is nothing to be more important then a product for new projects. Coin can have a value for a while based only on community believe and without a product. But eventually, there should be real value of the project. It should solve real problems and business needs. No matter how well the project was advertised and how cool the team is, only the existence of product ensures that project has a future.
Projects which don't have a product will die and it will be rather sooner than later. Actually, we can observe it right now.

Despite the fact that this massive fall was expected, you can't be prepared for that. Everyday your bag becomes smaller and smaller...as a minimum it is frustrating.
Oh well, we are pawns in this game, so, we can only wait )
But we also can look at this situation from a different perspective. I personally believe in marker recovery and future for crypto in general. So, now I have one more chance to by ETH and BTC and some other coins for good price. The only question left where to find fiat...

There are more then one right answer on that ). And as always It is hard to predict the market moves, it is very volatile. But taking into account that nep-5 tokens are poorly represented on big exchanges like Binance and the infrastructure for them is still building, I think we haven't seen yet the full potential of NEO and GAS. Additional, there are a lot of rumors and news that we will see a lot of improvements and major updates for NEO by the and of the year. All of that should pump up the price, at least I think so )

Good question. Unfortunately, there isn't a simple answer to that. But we have to understand that the market cap is relatively small and it isn't hard for big players to manipulate the price of main coins like BTC and ETH. And they defiantly will do that, and the market will remain so volatile at least for a year or so. And no matter how strange it sounded, it is necessary that more big players with different strategies to enter the market. I think that will help to make the market more stable.

I don't think so. I personally don't expect any changes in the current downtrend. I think we will gradually go even further down with some local pumps. Most likely we will stop somewhere near to mining price of BTC and ETH. After that, there will be a flat period. It can be few month or even a year or so.
And it is crucial whether current projects will be able to show us working products that really solve business problems. If yes, then we will see another cycle of the uptrend and it is going to be even bigger then the last one

Demand forms a proposal. There are a lot of projects that are willing to pay millions in order to list on big centralized exchanges. For most of them listing on Binance or Bittrex is the only chance to pump coin price, after what the team will be able to dump their share. Exchanges know that and therefore they have lost their shame and the greed took over them.
Decentralize exchanges should fix this. And actually we can see that step by step focus is shifting from CEX to DEX
