Re: gambling vs doomscrolling
by

on 09/09/2025, 18:37:47 UTC
basically doomscrolling is aimlessly scrollig through social media without any real intentions. being on social media also generates dopamine which is the same happy hormone that gambling can give you. we both doomscroll or gamble when we are bored. what do you think is worse, gambling or doomscrolling?
Interesting comparison! I’ve never thought about it that way before.
Social media isn’t all the same, though.
If it’s something like NOSTR, which doesn’t shove random stuff at you that you never subscribed to, then mindless scrolling can actually be useful. You find out what’s going on with your friends and stay emotionally connected to them, which is a valuable resource.
But if it’s Instagram, where every couple of posts are ads trying to squeeze money out of you, then honestly, I’d rather play a little.

✔ We do not accept Bitcoin at the moment, only USDT (ERC20, TRC20, BEP20). But adding BTC is under consideration if there’s demand.

Are you seeing any signs of such demand?
I regularly read this forum, and the more I do, the stronger my impression gets that gambling is becoming one of the main use cases for Bitcoin. I hardly see this much discussion about any other use case.
Still, it’s hard for me to believe that.
What do you think: could bitcoin holders actually be interested in services like this?

I'm glad I managed to get through to the team on at least another topic, and they noticed the issue I was pointing out.

At first, it seemed to me that the TonStation team was basically ignoring questions and comments from the forum. I couldn’t understand what they expected from the forum at all in that case.

But now I see that, whenever possible, the team does take into account the problems users point out. That’s great!

TonStation, I hope you’ll stay with us on the forum for a long time, and we’ll all be here to witness your success.

I've also been on the waiting list for a long time. But I applied for the card without any expectations. I have a Russian passport, and if a crypto card has even the slightest citizenship restrictions, my passport almost always puts me under those restrictions.

But today, when I checked this thread, I found out that the Dolphin Card is one of the rare cases where citizens of many countries can't get the card, but I can? Incredible!

Unfortunately, my problem is the same as dkbit98's: the application is there, but the card isn't.

Re: Un-KYC crypto using the lightning network
by

A very interesting topic! I never even thought someone might set themselves the task of hiding the fact that the coins they withdrew from an exchange are still in their possession.
I usually use Lightning to deposit bitcoins to exchanges, not to withdraw from them. And in my four years of using it this way, I’ve gotten the impression that none of the exchanges try to trace the network to figure out where a deposit came from. That’s why I think that after a withdrawal through Lightning, the exchange won’t try to find out whether the bitcoins remained with the client or were passed on to someone else.

But if I were paranoid, I’d probably solve the task like this: I would withdraw fiat money from the exchange into a bank account. From there, bank secrecy comes into play. Neither the exchange nor anyone who gains access to its logs would be able to know whether the money stayed in my bank account or was converted back into bitcoins on platforms like Robosats or LNP2PBOT, where there’s no KYC.

Re: Is Russia is on the way to adopt cryptocurrencies?
by

Under sanctions, it is already very difficult to conduct cryptocurrency transactions with foreign companies. The state does not want money to leave the country and enter citizens' accounts from unknown sources. So far, all these restrictions have been successfully circumvented.
I used to frequently use one Russian international money transfer service. Then that service came under sanctions, and it became impossible to receive transfers in the country where I usually collected them. So I stopped using it. About two years later, I got a marketing phone call from this service, during which they asked me, among other things, whether I would be interested in receiving transfers from Russia abroad in cryptocurrency.

Satoshi once wrote that every lost bitcoin adds value to the remaining ones. I think the bitcoins locked up in corporate treasuries are essentially gone too. They may still even move from one address to another, but for people like me - who value Bitcoin as a savings instrument that nobody can seize - they are inaccessible. And that also increases the value of all the remaining bitcoins.

If the state authorities see that casino do not have licences do not pay taxes and follow kyc procedures it may simple close such casino/
In such case nobody will get its wings. No one  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
That means all bets should be on a blockchain - one where reversing a transaction is impossible, even at the instruction of the "Foundation" that oversees its development. Bitcoin fits perfectly for this. In Bitcoin, closing a casino is far from simple. Maybe that's why gambling has become one of the most prominent industries in the Bitcoin economy?

Re: What was your first impression of how Bitcoin works?
by

The first thing that impressed me about Bitcoin was the ability to trace where the money I gave to my child or to the government was actually spent! Just imagine: being able to check what taxes are really used for! That would truly be a revolution!

And then I learned about multisig and the possibility of preventing my taxes from being spent on things I don’t want to support… Wow! That’s a dream come true!

Re: usdt-trc20 wallet anonymus, without KYC. Possible ?
by

Try Aqua! Yes, it's not cheap, but it's quite anonymous. Every time you receive USDT on Tron, they are automatically converted into USDT on Liquid - a blockchain where nothing is tracked. Nobody knows what you do with those USDT afterwards. And when you need to send them back to Tron, the conversion happens automatically before sending. The link between the received USDT and the sent USDT gets broken.

The fee for this is 1.9% of each conversion amount (USDT TRC20 <-> USDT Liquid). And within the Liquid blockchain itself, sending tokens is very cheap: about 0.08 USDT per transaction.

The main thing is that now, when a visitor to the forum clicks on the signature, the desktop version starts (of course, if the Telegram desktop is installed), and he does not need to scan QR from his smartphone.
So where is this QR? If, when following the link, I was shown a QR code that I needed to scan in order to access TonStation, there wouldn’t be much of a problem. Maybe not completely seamless, but at least understandable. However, I don’t see any QR code.

Above, I shared two screenshots showing what I see when I follow the link. There are no QR codes there. For users like me, the link just leads nowhere.

Casinos pay taxes so they must inform about big wings. Winners also pay taxes. You can not win money and not pay taxes for it.
Who doesn't want to pay taxes wins not money, but cryptocurrency. Preferably Bitcoin on the Lightning Network, so it can't be tracked. But the mandatory condition is that the gambling platform must not know who you are. That's why topics like this are needed.

From the topic title I understood that you're offering not only Monero but also Litecoin to MWEB addresses. But the figures you show are only for Monero. Does this mean Litecoin isn't in demand with you? I thought that after last month's events in Monero many people would switch to alternative options. In your opinion, that didn't happen?

Hi
Im looking for someone from Georgia for a very interesting job opportunity please dm if you are interested
Which Georgia do you mean exactly: the U.S. state or the country in the Caucasus?
I live in Batumi - it's a city in Georgia on the Black Sea coast. Would that work for you?

Or maybe your offer is no longer relevant?

Either way, I’d be interested to know which region you had in mind, since the word "Georgia" often causes some confusion in English Smiley

TonStation,

Just like with your other thread, in my opinion, there's a bit of a marketing oversight here. The images in the opening post hide a link:
https://t.me/tonstationgames_bot/app?startapp=ref_5kya617mqa1fnaacwouthn__utm_bct5

If you tap the image on a mobile device, it opens the "Telegram" app. As far as I understand, many people do have it installed on their phones.

But the problem is that this forum is not optimized for mobile devices. It's inconvenient to read it from a phone. So most users are likely browsing the forum from a desktop browser. That's how I access it myself. And here's what I see when I follow the link:

I click the "Open App" button - nothing happens. I click "Open in Web" - I just see an empty page.

So I never come to you via your links.

Although I actually use the web version of Telegram, and mini-apps run there without any problems for me.

Re: ⚽️ BiTaraf is Back: Transparent Toto & Skill-Based Sports Predictions!

Why BiTaraf?

Decentralized platform: All transactions and activities are fully transparent and traceable.
Group entertainment: Compete on a level playing field where skill and sports analysis matter.
Fast deposits & withdrawals: Using USDT (ERC20, TRC20, BEP20).
User-friendly design: Perfect for both pros and newcomers.
24/7 support: Via email and social media.
Do I understand correctly that by the word "decentralized" you mean only openness and transparency of operations through the blockchain, and not full decentralization in the sense of a DAO or smart contracts without intermediaries?
And one more question: did I understand correctly that you do not accept Bitcoin?
