I have just moved an S5 onto the EU server. I'll keep an eye on it to see how things go but so far so good.

My pool user is GoJonnyGo.

I would like to register my pick of 98%.

Thank you.

EDIT - My reported Hashrate and Diff are jumping around a bit. Has the EU server the same var diff rules as the main pool?
It has only been half an hour so I hope it will settle down.

You sir are a true gentleman.
This will probable go straight back on the pool as soon as WH lets me rent at a good price without constantly bumping my orders.

Being stuck at airports sucks but at least you had something to keep you busy. Me, I just end up drinking way too much coffee and just getting angry at every announcement.

All,

I have completed the spreadsheet and have uploaded it to the following location: https://www.dropbox.com/s/99ijt4by0jc8nq4/pool_payouts.xlsx?dl=0

If you do not have Excel, or google docs, or any other spreadsheet program, please let me know and I will gladly present the data to you here on the thread.

Looking at the spreadsheet, pay attention to column R.

If that number is NEGATIVE, you were UNDERPAID.  If the number is POSITIVE you were OVERPAID.

Some of you have already committed to paying back any coins - and in fact, some of you have already sent those coins to me.

If you are underpaid, and you wish to have things corrected, please let me know.  I will send you coins from my own pocket.

Of note: I was the worst affected of any miner on the pool.  Even though I was overpaid for block 3, I was significantly underpaid for block 2.  Net loss for me was 4.96BTC.

If you have any questions or comments, I will address them to the best of my ability.

My GoJonnyGo account has -0.3329574  This is a little more than I'm willing to just let go so would be grateful if it could be sent to my payout address.
Thank you.

I would like to see anyone that has missed out on payments reimbursed. Its only fair that we get paid for the shares that are submitted - that goes for all 3 rounds.

I would go with philipma1957's comment to leave as is then square up .

Thank you for looking into it.

1- If the pool is labeled as 5n then the block needs to be paid 5n.  It is a simple calculation that can be done by hand since the number of miners is small and all of the blocks shares are counted.

2- If it is left the way it is then many people will not get paid as described in the OP.  Sure I would like to get the 1/3 of a Bitcoin but I certainly do not want it to be paid from your pocket.

3- Voting on it is a great option but a predictable one.  Those that are negatively affected will vote one way while those positively affected will vote the opposite. I suggest you look at the info and make a decision, people are going to be unhappy either way.

I think he can leave it the way it is.

then square it up with the underpaid.

You are an underpaid and rozo is an underpaid.

the biggest overpaid on this block is  jonnybravo0311

I would be willing to do a manual check of all numbers this evening.

philipma1957 - I set out my shares per round much like you.

Trouble is I just don't get the maths.

Round           Pool                     Me                 PPLNS
  3        151,774,724,299      394,814,221     170,096,734

  2        91,699,693,789       1,145,636,326   192,489,823

  1        21,683,709,476        205,987,321    205,987,321

I would love a simple explanation of how the shares are calculated and how this relates to any 5n

Edit: Ok, thanks Kilo17.

Firstly, just wanted to say congrats to all those mining here.

I also want to state that JonnyB is one of the few good people I trust in the bitcoin world.
But... I did find the payout for the second block (#392809) to be under what I had expected given my shares.
I did ask Jonny to look into it at the time.

The payout for this third block seems ok given that I have only been mining on/off recently.

I mine as GoJonnyGo by the way.  Smiley

It is a great idea by the way.
How would you class an eligible miner? Would it just be a rig that would be unable to reach the 0.0001 BTC
It may need a minimum requirement otherwise 30 people with 336Mhs sticks aint gonna get far. Ok, so I exaggerate a bit but you get what I mean.
30 people with S1's on the other hand would be well worth doing.

.3 btc  but let me check

Prices on nicehash have been low. .0041/.0042

Assuming no 300%+ blocks that would be a good return.

0.2 btc (Westhash) should do you. Price is good at the moment.

I put in a 40th at .0041

and I think I got fucked as someone just did a fixed for 1000th at .0053

Yeah, I just been looking at that. I'm at .0042.
Why on earth would anyone do .0053 ?

and confirmed

hey kano...just a quick question coz i dont understand Smiley...i mined yesterday not for long on your pool, and I stoped ,I am still getting payd for blocks found even tough I stoped mining whats up with that?(not complaining for free btc ,just dont understand how your pool works, and i quit it coz i tought bitminter is more profitable )
Well ... it is all explained on the web site Help->Payouts https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

You submit a share, it gets rewarded in every block over the next ~5Nd after it, ~1/5 it's value each time, expected average ~5 times if luck is 100%.

That's how PPLNS works, even at that 'other' pool. Just a different N value. Here N = 5Nd

Here the payout variance will be a lot lower for 2 reasons: bigger pool and larger N.

Kano, don't worry, the explanation of the Payouts under Help is actualy very ... well, helpful. When used with the shift graph its actually very easy to see how you hash rate will effect your payout for shares submitted.

Take the time to read it folks.  Smiley

Stats look a little weird on this one.  Shares still showing 89% and counting and no estimate on diff, diff%, cdf, etc.  Status is "New" instead of +1.

Oh, yeah. I see what you mean. That's rather odd.
I do hope its just a glitch and not an orphan, stale or unworthy block.

Kano - Any probs with the de. server at the moment? I'm in EU and usually get a LOT faster ping to the de. than main server but its been lagging behind when I checked a little earlier.
Mining not affected, Just curious.

I had miners pointed to de. with the failover as the main kano pool. They just beeped, failed over and just kept on hashing. Having the new servers is great.  Smiley

Glad to see the pool is back. Well done JB for all the hard work behind the scenes.
I'll be moving some hash back and maybe a small rental.

Pool front end looks to be unavailable but miners showing pool is alive.

Keep up the good work behind the scenes Mr Bravo.  Like Rozo said, we do appreciate it.

it seems like the server may be under attack but its at least down. FYI it was up maybe five minutes ago.

Yes. My miner also failed over for sometime. I had no option but to point to Kano for a while.

Is there something which can prevent him to start DDoS attack again? Angry

Yeah, miners showing pool is down. I'm also back at kano while we wait for the kiddies to stop playing.
