You can merge your two topics into one. Lock one of the two topics, and use only one topic to ask.

are there bitcoin atms in mexico to buy bitcoin for cash fiat

You can consider Peer-to-peer (P2P) exchanges or Bitcoin ATM

Thanks, very helpful especially the list of bitcoin atms in mexico.

ATMs tend to have very high fees. I wouldn't use them for high amounts unless you're in desperate need of crypto. I'd go with P2P platforms that allow cash-in-person trades instead (LocalCryptos or Paxful).

Thanks.

buying crypto currencies and then travelling

If you buy crypto currencies in one country and then travel to another country, as long as I have the passphrase and private key on paper, hidden in mulptiple places and the crypto on an online exchange, no kyc, p2p bought, non custodial and bought on a clean laptop, can I delete the website from by laptop, including the online wallet, and then sign in again to that exchange after travelling.

I have heard, dont know if it is true, but better safe than sorry, that they now have devices to scan your smartphone and laptop to see what is on it. I would not be surprised if they do that now, the governments of the world are becoming very anti crypto currency, especially for privacy coins.

Are there bitcoin atms in mexico to buy bitcoin for cash fiat. What kind of fee in total will you pay in percentage terms to buy bitcoin? Or do they go by a flat rate, making larger purchases a good idea? What is the most you can buy at a time?

Re: is bitcoin taxed in canada
by

Is bitcoin taxed in canada? i think I heard it is only taxed when you sell it, and then depends on how much you made.
It is taxed when you sold it already because here goes the gain. And usually, gains are always taxed and if you want to know more about taxation, it's either you to talk to someone who's living in Canada do and have done filed his taxation with his gains through bitcoin.

And the other option that you can do is to contact the tax agency and have a consultation with any taxation professional. Well, some information are searchable through google.

Like this one: Is Bitcoin Taxable In Canada?

What if you directly sell it for a privacy coin like pirate chain? There is no money made doing this, and do they even know where the bitcoin went? I would be using a decentralized no kyc p2p exchange to do this.

Is bitcoin taxed in canada? i think I heard it is only taxed when you sell it, and then depends on how much you made. But if you you buy monero or pirate chain with it, can they see that transaction and tax it, do they even know you sold it if you sold it p2p? So if it is taxed, is it based on the value of bitcoin when you bought it as compared when you sold it, and what is the rate you are taxed at? Thanks.

buying alternative that uses cash as the method, but is not tracked
by

Is there a buying alternative that uses cash as the method, but is not tracked by the government, other than cash by mail? I looked into western union and they said they give info to the government for anti laundering reasons. No, I am not doing anything illegal, and it is part of my natural rights to use my money as I want without the government knowing everything about it, it's called freedom.

Re: is there a hardware wallet for pirate chain?
by

No there isn't, pirate chain is a privacy coin that works on a new blockchain of its own just like few other privacy coins out there, for the privacy features to work correctly is why the team don't run on ETH chain or other like that, for now only mobile wallet or paper wallet are available apart from Windows software

Is this windows software wallet safe and anonymous. So ti would be an online wallet, but from what I have heard online software wallets CAN be more secure than simple online wallets since the program acts as a shield against almost all hacks. What is the name of this software? What is the name of the mobile wallet? Thanks.

Re: what exchanges can you buy monero on, p2p, dex, with some form of fiat

- Use your prefered payment method to buy btc from one of the p2p well known exchanges (bitpanda/localbitcoins/paxful..).
- Withdraw the btc to your personal wallet.

When you buy monero with bitcoin, does anyone know you bought monero, I mean they might guess you did, but can they prove it?

Also does anyone know you bought bitcoin if you have not made any transactions with it. Once you buy monero, what do they know, you once owned bitcoin?

- Use binance exchange to buy monero as binance doesn't require KYC for less than 2 btc withdrawal per day.

Is binance p2p. Are their fees low? You have custody of your coins, correct?

buying monero with bitcoin
by
jakesun64
on 14/05/2021, 08:20:40 UTC
This is all from the point of view of a decentralized, p2p, no kyc exchange. If you pay for bitcoin with an interac e-transfer, I have heard the bank has no idea where the money went, or at least does not know you bought bitcoin. Is this true?

Once you have bought the bitcoin, do the banks and the government know you own bitcoin? Do they tax you on that?

When you buy monero with bitcoin, do they know you now own monero, or are they just guessing that you do, in other words do they have proof that you bought monero? Do they even know you bought monero? I am eagerly awaiting an answer as I think these are fundamental questions.

Also, what is the advantage of using Bisq over other decentralized, p2p, no kyc exchanges.

How long do p2p cash funded trades like western union, money order etc. take.
AFAIK, they're almost instant.

But money orders have to go through the mail, which can take a few days. What are some that use cash like western union that don't require the money to go through the mail?

Re: buying bitcoin and the seeming impossibility of keeping anonymous

As for emails, dude you can create a ton of emails, not really something they can trace to you if you actually tried to.
I strongly disagree. While disposable emails are certainly a way to get rid of having your real personal info sold everywhere around, a 3-letter agency would easily find out which emails are yours and which aren't. Emails are not anonymous at all, and I am more than sure that NSA or CIA do have access to most, if not all email server backends.

Not to mention that the isp's are virtually all without telling anyone, giving all their users traffic data to the spy agencies and nsa, and even it they were not, they have ways of tracking things I am sure, and no vpn or tor is going to stop them either, this is the nsa we are talking about. So just through what you do on the internet, if they really want to know something they can. I am also almost sure that microsoft gives backdoors to the nsa and others.
