While following the #mtgox IRC channel, I remember a discussion about a circuit breaker that was put in place to help prevent a repeat of the plummet to $0.01.  If a large order or swing was detected (don't remember the exact details), trading would be automatically halted until it could be manually reviewed.  My guess is that this circuit breaker triggered and MT just had to review it and turn trading back on.  Just a possibility.

Looks nice, thanks! Once I have enough posts to add an image in my sig I'll include it.  The hash is showing correctly for me at BTCGuild.

Also, I remember seeing somewhere that you should keep your API key private.  Is it really that important?  I'm mainly asking because anyone who sees this bar can look at the source and see the owner's API Key.

I suppose that's the question everyone would love to know the answer to.  If I knew it was going up soon I'd invest everything I have in it  Grin I'm definitely hoping the exchange goes up soon as my mining rig isn't making nearly as much as it was when I started (only a month ago).

You might also want to log onto the IRC channel #mtgox on Freenode.  MagicalTux is the guy who runs MtGox.  He always shows as logged in but if you hang around long enough you'll see him talking when he's actually paying attention to it.  He is usually pretty good about addressing issues if you ask him directly.

Also, last time I was there the room was set up such that you had to register your name in order to talk on the channel, so you may want to go ahead and do that.

Hmm, a little annoying but reasonable.  I just wish I had made an account earlier, I could have met the four hour mark a long time ago.  One post down, four to go  Grin
