Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops
by
jcarlo
on 19/11/2020, 12:06:04 UTC
Not all the bounty and airdrop are scam, in the means of original, they're most be a counter felt, many bounty and airdrop coin has been dumped and also not distributed by name of scam. Therefore there are good project among the line of campaign.

Good luck...

Agree, some bounty campaigns can make money. Maybe a lot of bounties don't pay or turn out to be a scam project but I think it's unfair if we generalize. Hopefully next year will be a good year for bounty hunters

Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic

Some of the coins that I hold have I sold because their prices have gone up and some have fallen so I prefer not to sell them. The pandemic may be for real businesses to have a hard time but if we look at the crypto market as a whole, it looks like it is doing well as the market cap value has continued to increase this year compared to last year

Re: Is There A point To still Hold Litecoin As An Investment?
by
jcarlo
on 18/11/2020, 10:32:23 UTC
Litecoin is an old coin that is traded on many big exchangers and has a large market cap value, I think this coin is worthy of being a long-term investment. Lots of old coins which I think at this point is a good time to buy because their price has dropped against Bitcoin and one of those coins is good Litecoin

Re: Why Will you Invest in Ethereum ICO if it is just Starting ?
by
jcarlo
on 18/11/2020, 10:27:41 UTC
Absolutely, even though Bitcoin is the one that starts all this, I dare to say Ethereum is the one that makes the cryptocurrency world is actually running. Their idea of decentralized smart-contract attract and enable people around the world to easily joining the crypto community. For me, the things that make me truly believe and understand the concept of financial decentralization is Ethereum.

The appeal of ethereum is smart contracts and decentralization and mining coins. Nobody expected ethereum's price to hit $ 1000 a while back when the ICO price was no more than $ 1. Maybe this is what makes investors interested in investing in new projects even though it can be called speculation

Re: Now is the best time
by

So many people lost their jobs when the pandemic started but thanks to online jobs some are saved, the pandemic is an eye opening event for crypto, this year many new comers find their way to crypto and I'm glad some invested through me, I was able to make some invested in Bitcoin when it was down and now they are happy, pretty risky though but I filled them in about the risks involved.

In the midst of a pandemic and many people losing their jobs, Cryptocurrency offers many opportunities for us to make money. If we are new to cryptocurrency, I think we can learn from various social media as well as this forum. As for those who are already investing, I think this is the right time to choose coins that are good and have potential in the future

Re: A crypto Scammer on the run
by
jcarlo
on 18/11/2020, 07:57:43 UTC
I know that it's not about the fact there were bunch of scam projects have been coming from them. I hope that he will be getting caught by the police.
In fact, nigerians are not bad but there were so many scammers were coming from there.

It looks like he was the owner of pinkoin.
Scamming is already part of crypto community and this is the reason why some exchanges strictly impose KYC to avoid being scammed as much as possible. We should also be vigilant in choosing projects to invest as some of them who offer huge amount of profits are just there to lure us and steal all our funds.

Agree that we must always be vigilant when starting to invest in a new project. New projects may in some cases be profitable but in my opinion only a few are successful in the market and also listing on exchangers. Many new projects end up being useless tokens in our wallets because the team ran away with the token sale money

Re: Is DeFi really a threat to centralized finance?
by

In my opinion, CeFi will still dominate our daily financial transactions. DeFi may be a good and promising concept in the future but there are still many people who don't believe in or know about cryptocurrency yet. There is good potential in the DeFi project but I think CeFi will still dominate

Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency?
by
jcarlo
on 17/11/2020, 13:03:54 UTC
It is difficult to say when is the right time to buy crypto because it all depends on the market conditions and also the project of the coin or token. There is a risk, whenever we buy, when the price seems to start rising, there is a risk that people will dump so that the price falls back down. In my opinion, the most important thing is that we prepare the best possible analysis and choose coins that have a large transaction volume and are traded on large exchangers

Re: Ripple the next bitcoin?
by
jcarlo
on 17/11/2020, 12:59:35 UTC
Ripple has a pretty good investment track record, but I have never seen it even close to the bitcoin level, besides that it is also centralized which makes people including me not really like it.

indeed the ripple ROI is still positive, and the increase has been 30x,
but the fate of people who buy at the price of $ 1 - $ 2 is of course very different,
and recently Ripple's price has also gone up, that's good, even though it hasn't reached the target I think it's good,
if you expect ripple to replace bitcoin, don't expect it

Agree, it is too far to imagine Ripple next Bitcoin. From the total supply and investor confidence, I think there is a difference. Investors will certainly choose Bitcoin because institutional investors have started investing while this has not happened in Ripple

Re: any project with coin distribution??
by
jcarlo
on 17/11/2020, 09:22:07 UTC
Nowadays, airdrops aren't profitable. But you can be sure that plenty amount of project is running coin/token distribution or airdrop. But 99% of them are scams. 0.9% of them aren't profitable comparing your time. Better you can participate in Bounty campaigns or Hodler Airdrops. Like DIA coin will airdrop in 2021. Read about DIA airdrop.

Many airdrop tokens become trash in wallets because they are not listed on exchangers, although I think there are also airdrops that have little value. I still remember the Uniswap airdrop and I think it was the biggest airdrop I have ever had

Re: How about day trading Eth?
by
jcarlo
on 17/11/2020, 09:18:34 UTC
I usually don't do day trading but imo Ethereum may be a beneficial option for day trading for those who have better understanding about technical analysis of eth and the most important thing we mustn't involve in day trading without strategies otherwise it may not be much profitable or it may end up with loss.

Without strategy and analytical skills, I think the opportunities to profit from trading are very slim and rely solely on luck. Trading in my opinion is high risk if we don't understand the price movements but if we can read the price movements, I think daily trading is very profitable

Re: Altcoin pump and dump
by
jcarlo
on 17/11/2020, 09:15:09 UTC
In my opinion
Altcoin pump or dump depends on whether the price of Bitcoin increases or decreases.
Because Bitcoin is the number one cryptocurrency.
It is also part but not all, bitcoin is important, but it doesn't decide everything. Most altcoins will follow the trend, but there are many opposite, bitcoin decreases but a few altcoins will increase strongly.

In my opinion, what is meant by pump and dump is a coin whose price is pumped up high but with a transaction volume that is not too large and usually the price falls quickly after reaching its highest point. I don't think it has anything to do with an increase in the price of Bitcoin because although many altcoins go down when the price of Bitcoin goes up, the fall in the price of legit altcoins is quite slow and not drastic.

Re: Hidden team members or not make any difference?
by
jcarlo
on 16/11/2020, 23:16:58 UTC
Hidden team members in any project, this is the question mark on project ? is this project really legit?
Well real projects never hide anything related project like team members background, their experience these things can attract investor to project.
If team already hide from project then this kind of projects never last long in crypto field and fall becomes project destiny.
It's also good to see the team by themselves explaining their very own projects to see how well they understand their own projects, how they wanted to see it in the long run. I really enjoy watching videos of teams from defi projects in YouTube during quarantine as they explain their products uses, importance and goals. It's not enough that they know their name, much better if they really show their identity by that we will know how serious they are in what their doing.

For projects that do token sales, I think we really need to know the developer team so that we can be vigilant when making investments. The team that appears to show investors that they have experience in the field of projects being carried out so that investor confidence increases.

I think China has a big influence on many countries to follow the steps of issuing blockchain-based digital money. There will be many central banks that issue digital money because they should keep up with the increasingly advanced times and also offer cheaper transaction fees

Re: Gold or Bitcoin
by
jcarlo
on 16/11/2020, 23:03:54 UTC
Without any more thinking the choice is bitcoin. Just think of the growth with gold and bitcoin. There is a big difference. This year bitcoin and gold are the only investment that had grown positive while economies of the countries went negative. If one has invested on bitcoin by its all time low value of 2020 now the user could've got 3X profit which isn't possible with gold.

If you are ready to take the risk, bitcoin is more aggressive to pumped high, with so many adoptions that happening currently. The chance that value

will go for more, keep in mind that risk are high but if you manage to position yourself in the right time the profits will be sweet, while with gold and

stability there's passive as well but it won't be as high as what bitcoin can bring.

For young people and people who understand the digital world, Bitcoin is more attractive than Gold. Besides being easy to store, I agree that Bitcoin offers a higher profit than Gold and currently Bitcoin price shows an uptrend while Gold shows a stagnant trend in its price movement

Re: 2020... Altseason?
by
jcarlo
on 12/11/2020, 06:23:04 UTC
For many altcoins, I think 2020 was a bad year. Seeing Bitcoin's dominance in the market which reaches 64%, only a few altcoins have increased in price because investors prefer to invest in Bitcoin. But I think Bitcoin's dominance will decrease next year because new investors will come and altcoins have a chance to go up in price

Re: New projects can still deliver
by
jcarlo
on 12/11/2020, 06:19:12 UTC
of course new projects can give us a lot of profit, if you can analyze them properly and you are lucky,
then you will be successful, or maybe you can join the IEO at binance,
because there is a place for good new projects.

New projects that run IEOs on Binance are always profitable, sometimes up to tens of percent after the initial listing. In addition, in my opinion, there are many new projects that are potential long-term investments but are still not monitored by many people and usually their market cap value is around 2 million dollars.

Re: Altcoin pump and dump
by
jcarlo
on 11/11/2020, 11:29:53 UTC
Hey guys,
I've checked some intersting altcoins which are pretty cheap now, the projects look promising and legit but I'm still afraid that they could be another pump and dumps (there were so many of them already!). What are the signs or metrics that send alert signals about the projects and I should check deeper or not risk my money? Or is it just impossible to tell if it's another pump and dump scam project.

If you find a good and promising altcoin, I think what you should analyze is whether it has a large daily average volume. Apart from that, I think the small bid and ask difference is an indication that the altcoin price movement is not a pump and dump

Re: We need more decentralized stablecoins
by
jcarlo
on 11/11/2020, 11:25:40 UTC
But how though. Decentralized stablecoin also carry its advantage and disadvantage, my main concern is how that stablecoin could reserve money? is it by letting some people staking usdt and let them earn from fee or what? the reason behind why so many stablecoin is centralized is because they could provide money to reserve for their stablecoin and i can't see that kind of thing is an easy feat for decentralized stablecoin.

I agree with this opinion, stablecoins are basically backed up by US Dollars or certain country currencies and this requires a large amount of funds when people are going to exchange fiat to stablecoins to transact on exchangers. USDT or other stablecoins are centralized because there is a large reserve that guarantees the availability of funds when people withdraw to bank accounts

Re: How will crypto behave during a Biden presidency?
by
jcarlo
on 11/11/2020, 05:20:48 UTC
After Biden has been declared the winner of the US presidency, there's a lot of uncertainty regarding to crypto's (and the mainstream economy) behavior during the next 4 years. At times, it's been shown that crypto prices move either up or down depending on certain events in the mainstream world. Some people say that in a Democratic administration, the stock market (and crypto too) will experience a constant uptrend in price. Others say the contrary when Republicans are in power. Since 2020 has been filled with uncertainty, anything could happen in the following months.

This makes me wonder how will a Biden presidency impact crypto? Will crypto continue to soar towards new heights? Do you think that a Democratic administration will be much more friendly towards the crypto/Blockchain industry in general?

Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley

The Biden administration I think will be different from Trump but will still print new money to restore its economy due to the pandemic. The Fed some time ago announced that it would expand inflation and this would affect the money supply so I think crypto will be an attractive investment.
