It's true that there is no cap, but that article is not particularly correct.

Quote
This means there could be 200, 500 or even a million billion DogeCoin in 10 years from now.

This is nonsense, there will be ~5.3billion coins mined a year after the initial 100 billion.
This means in the 10 years following the 100 billionth coin being mined a further 53 billion will be added, so to say 200, 500 or million billion in 10 years is clearly scaremongering and ill informed.

Bear in mind the first 100 billion is being mined in 18 months, the next 100 billion will take 18.9 years.

It's not a big deal.

Shit rising again. I need to buy 100k

what exchange can I expect to deposit btc buy doge and withdraw the fastest?

My guess is Bter.

Anyone withdraw this morning yet?

Vircurex has always been spot on for getting coins in and out. no messing.

Haven't tried bter, forget cryptsy.

I might take back the comment of Cryptsy being slow withdrawing, I've just sent a wedge of doge to my hidey hole wallet and it was instant; it was in the block chain in the time between me verifying the email, navigating to the withdrawals history and copying the trxid and searching it on the dogechain site.
As it should be, but the last one I did took 7 hours, 5.5 hours of pending, then another 1.5 hours for the trxid to appear in the blockchain.
The pending bit I wasn't' too fussed about, but the 1.5 hours between it being processed (being assigned a trxid) and appearing in the blockchain was scary!  Not sure if that was a Cryptsy issue, or a blockchain issue?

If cryptsy get all the various latency issues sorted out, it'll be great; but like many others I've lost out on so many trades due to orders placing 2 mins after they are submitted, or funds not being returned immediately after cancellations.

Arrgh cryptsy, you have no concept of urgency you turd!

7 hours to withdraw yesterday, then you place and order and it goes though sometime when it feels like it.  Inevitably missing the boat, or rocket, whatever.
it's better than it was, but it's got a long way to go yet.
I wish they'd make a simple fast interface without all the frilly shit.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I've read back a few pages but haven't seen anything.

But is there a reason why under 'User Info -> Worker Settings' my hash rate is showing around what it should (5.5Mh/s) but on the main stat's page and in the round info box (top right of the screen) the hashrate is only around 1Mh/s?

Thanks,
Jezz.

EDIT:
Just as i submitted that, It's now showing about 8-9Mh/s on the stats page and in the round info box.. LOL

What is wrong with the doge wallet software?
Any command I run in the debug window kills the dogecoin-qt.exe process, as does any attempt to encrypt wallet.

This is on Win7 64bit, with V1.3 of the wallet (though the same on the previous version?)

Is there a work around for this?
I've tried running in XP SP3 compatibility mode with the same issue.

None of the other 10+ wallets I run have this issue.

there is a 200kilodoge bounty to fix this known issue with "much crash to encrypt moneybag"

https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/issues/9

and holy shit you have 10 wallets?  i don't think they've even made wallets for the crapcoins i've been mining (yes i mined crapcoin)

Ok cheers. Smiley  The new V1.4 client is the same, but then I didn't expect this new release to fix it.
LOL I know. Many don't get used, many crapcoins LOL.  Dare I say it, WoW. Cheesy

I'd just like to take some time out and thank everyonefor mining on http://LOT.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM .  We are now mining over 1.5Gh/s and have proven ourselves to be a premium mining website that can scale well in to the future.

Since the beginning our motto has been clear - provide a healthy and friendly medium so serious miners can mine without troubles and/or worry.  Hence, if you put your miners on our stratum nodes, you can be 100% sure that they will still be running with 100% efficiency when you come back, or wake up, or whatever.

Thanks guys and lets head in to the future together.

PS - I finally got 4 hours of sleep tonight!!  First time in like almost 4 days!  Gahhh.. and everything is still running perfectly on the server Smiley  I had like 34239843298 alerts to wake me up if something happened though Smiley

I can not access the pool.

Hello sir:

I rebooted apache services a few times there to make some modifications.  Please try again.

Server overloaded ?? The pools now has almost 2 gh/s but :

Time Since Last Block    27 minutes 47 seconds
Est. Avg. Time per Round (Network)    30 seconds

Something isn't right..

definitely something not right, hopefully it's a GUI issue and not wasted hashes.
I've seen this before on pools where the GUI seems to not get updated for while, then it eventually it catches up with loads of nice found blocks.

The pool seems to be happily accepting shares.

Re: Is anyone else having issues with the GDC?

I've jsut been able to sync, but it is a concern that gdc has disappeared from crypsy as I have a few GDC there.

I find that i have trouble with a lot of coins not syncing straight away; particularly I have noticed it helps if you only have one coins blockchain open on your pc at a time, which is a pain ; perhaps running each of them in their own VM is a way forward.

Re: Serious Problem after setting up my mining Rigs - WILL REWARD IF SOMEONE SOLVES!

You need to do it for more than 2 hours.
In some hours no blocks are found, in others 10 mght be.

If you look at this page https://give-me-coins.com/pool/block_stats you can see the varience in time taken to find blocks.
On this page you can see how many blocks were found per hour..
https://give-me-coins.com/pool/pool_stats

The hash rate on give me coins dos bounce all over the place not sure if this is to do with vardiff, but I find that the average over say a day is pretty much what my rigs are doing, but sometimes it'll say <3Mh/s, then others >6Mh/s. where the daily average is somewhere in the middle.

I'm no expert, but some pools seem well dodgy, give me coins seems ok to me.  I generally mine feather coin there and get what I expect.

I think so, the limited (small) number of BTC will will ensure this.
If a big online player ebay, amazon,  facebook etc use crypto currency it will help move things along nicely.
