Re: Saving is Wasting?
by
jhayemcue08
on 24/04/2023, 12:27:49 UTC
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.

Given your limited income and limited opportunities for side hustles, you may want to focus on building an emergency fund. This can provide a safety net for unexpected expenses, such as medical bills or car repairs. Aim to save enough to cover three to six months of living expenses, if possible.

Whether you choose to save or invest, it is important that you must have a plan in place for your finances. Consider creating a budget to track your expenses and income, and prioritize your expenses and savings goals based on your current financial situation. You must remember to be patient with yourself and your financial situation. Building wealth takes time and effort, but with dedication and planning, you can work towards achieving your financial goals.

Re: On Ordinals: Where do you stand?
by
jhayemcue08
on 24/04/2023, 08:27:36 UTC

The debate surrounding the Ordinals protocol highlights a fundamental tension within the Bitcoin community regarding the role of the protocol and its potential for expansion. On one hand, some argue that Bitcoin's primary function is as a secure and decentralized digital currency, and that any attempts to expand the protocol beyond this scope risk diluting its core value proposition. On the other hand, others believe that Bitcoin's open-source nature makes it an ideal platform for experimentation and innovation, and that new protocols such as Ordinals have the potential to expand Bitcoin's utility and relevance.

That controversy over Ordinals also raises questions about the fungibility of Bitcoin. The introduction of unique inscriptions or other forms of metadata could potentially create distinctions between individual bitcoins, which could have implications for the fungibility of the currency as a whole. The question of whether to embrace or reject new protocols like Ordinals is a matter of personal opinion, and there are valid arguments on both sides.

Re: what about the fate of altcoins if btc drops to 10 dollars?
by
jhayemcue08
on 24/04/2023, 07:59:58 UTC
we will not know for the price of bitcoin in the future, and I just want to know what you think, about the question this time that I will ask you all, namely..
what will happen to altcoins if btc price drops to 10 dollars?

It's difficult to predict with certainty what will happen to altcoins if btc were to drop to $10, as there are a number of factors that can influence the price of cryptocurrencies. However, it's important to note that altcoins are not solely dependent on btc's price movements, and often have their own unique use cases and market dynamics.

That being said, historically altcoins have been known to follow btc's price movements to some extent. When btc experiences a significant drop in price, it's common for the entire cryptocurrency market to experience a sell-off, which can result in the price of altcoins also dropping.

However, it's worth noting that the cryptocurrency market has become increasingly diverse in recent years, with a wide range of altcoins offering unique features and use cases. This means that some altcoins may be less affected by a drop in btc's price than others.

Well, while it's difficult to predict the exact fate of altcoins if btc were to drop to $10, it's likely that many altcoins would also experience a drop in price to some extent. However, the impact on individual altcoins would depend on a variety of factors, including their use case, market dynamics, and overall demand.

Re: Do Anyone Think Luna Will Recover?
by
jhayemcue08
on 24/04/2023, 07:00:21 UTC
I don't think Luna will recover anymore, because it will be very difficult to gain the trust of people again, and after all Luna's team and developers have also left Luna, it will be very difficult for Luna to rise again

Regarding the statement that Luna will not recover, it is important to consider that the cryptocurrency market is volatile and can experience significant fluctuations. While Luna has faced challenges and disappointments in the past, it is not necessarily an indicator of its future performance.

Additionally, it is worth noting that the Luna ecosystem has a growing number of projects and partnerships, which could contribute to its potential for recovery. For instance, Terraform Labs, the team behind Luna, has recently partnered with Delphi Digital, a leading research firm in the cryptocurrency space, to explore and develop new applications for Luna's blockchain technology (source: https://delphidigital.io/reports/terra-x-delphi-digital-partnering-to-expand-lunas-reach-and-impact/).

Therefore, it is important to evaluate Luna's current developments and partnerships and not dismiss its potential for recovery based solely on past disappointments. It's crucial to conduct thorough research and analysis before making investment decisions in any cryptocurrency.

Ultimately, it's important to remember that investing in cryptocurrencies involves risks, and investors should always consider their risk tolerance and financial goals before investing.

There are other ways accounts get hacked, there are some fake projects online that would request for logins just to get intouch with how someone's password look like, hackers tried this passwords on other accounts of the victims like their gmail  and blockchain accounts.  This point also makes account vulnerable to attacks.

Thank you for bringing up an important point about how accounts can be hacked through phishing attacks. These attacks involve tricking users into giving away their login credentials by creating fake websites or sending deceptive emails that appear to be from a legitimate source.

Once the attacker has obtained the login credentials, they can use them to access other accounts belonging to the victim, as you mentioned, including email and cryptocurrency accounts. This is why it's crucial to be cautious when providing login information online and to verify the legitimacy of the website or email before entering any sensitive data.

According to a report by the Anti-Phishing Working Group, phishing attacks have increased by 22.5% in 2021, highlighting the growing threat of these attacks to online security (source: https://www.apwg.org/). It's essential to stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and to take proactive steps to protect our online accounts. This can include using strong and unique passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and being cautious of suspicious emails or websites.

I think I have more than needed Activity and Merits to be a Sr. Member... why is it not being updated?  Huh
You meet the Activity requirement yes, but you are falling short in Merit. You need 250 merit to be a Sr. Member and as of now, you only have 56.

I see... well looks like it's going to take me forever to get promoted since it is hard to get merits. Can you perhaps suggest me how I can get more merits? Thank you in advance. Smiley

I think that merits don't have to be actively sought, they will be earned naturally and spontaneously if you post quality responses that add to the interest of the conversation.

I think it's pretty smart that merits are not too easy to accumulate quickly, it really helps to make it credible and you know pretty quickly what kind of posters you are responding to when you see their merit/activity ratio

I completely agree with your perspective on earning merits. When we focus on providing valuable responses that contribute to the conversation, the merits naturally come as a recognition of our efforts. It's essential to avoid seeking merits actively and instead concentrate on providing quality content that enhances the overall discussion.

I also appreciate the merit/activity ratio feature, which helps us identify credible and knowledgeable posters quickly. It encourages us to engage in meaningful conversations with other users who are actively participating and adding value to the community. Overall, the merit system promotes a positive and healthy online environment where people are motivated to share their expertise and knowledge.

Cryptocurrency or bitcoin subjects have been around for a long time in several universities including where I live, and over time, bitcoin or Cryptoccurrency education continues to develop to grow bitcoin users to learn and understand how bitcoin or cryptoccurrency works in the technology world.
However, it must be more developed in cities or remote areas in order to understand and be involved in bitcoin and also must be supported at least by smartphone technology devices and networks that support it so that theory and practice can be obtained.

Imagine the global effect in businesses, and daily lifestyle of individual if this system has been approved by all. The best move for foundation is in education. No more fiat needed to be handle, payments are all paid intangible. Government nowadays are approving these cryptocurrencies. Soon, bitcoin will be taught in all schools.

Imagine what will be the impact of it on the bitcoin exchange rate.

by

Getting married and using bank services are not strictly optional. I would rather say they are close to necessity. Live-in relationships are not stable. So if you want stability in your family life, then you have to go for marriage. But the risk will always be there. In case of a divorce, be ready to part with a large portion of your wealth. Regarding taxes, there is no escape unless you can find some loophole which is 100% legal.

You maybe right about that it is close to necessity, but still it is an option. Not all individuals are looking up to be married or to be in a relationship. Some are wanting to be by their own by the rest of their life. Also, not all are trusting banks to put their wealth on it. They just manage to put it on any trading or keeping it in their own place. Think out of the box because not all are having the same principle, goals, ambition or motive.

I strongly doubt that the study of Bitcoin will be introduced in institutes or schools in the near future. But the time will surely come, I think that this topic will be introduced into the educational system. When a massive demand appears in society, then it will appear.

Other institutes especially around Europe are now having this educational system. If we are looking for that time, it is already happening starting this cashless transaction system due to global crisis happening this year.

In addition to that, these are going to happen to other countries also:

Syempre naka minimum investment lang rin ako haha so let's see  Grin

Remember that scammer is a scammer lalo pa at mas nangangailangan sya ngayon.

Well, pwede itong maapprove sa urban but not sa mga rural areas.

Ten years ago, I would have expected everyone to wonder how one can don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, don’t invest and don’t get a job. Ten years later, I think I had changed my mind, I wonder how many people would ask the same questions, how to not get a job? Tldr: Internet.

This sounds like how to not eat and drink for the rest of our life. Getting married and using a bank is just an option but paying taxes, investing and getting a job is a part of survival. Taxes are like funds for the security of peace and good governance. Investing and getting a job are quite the same. Investing time, effort, and money is required to get a job and to do the job.

Medyo advance pa kasi yung na-iisip mo when it comes to being a "cashless society" in the Pilipinas if you think about it if madami pa ang hindi gumagamit ng GCash or PayMaya what more pa kaya ang mga cryptocurrencies sa Pilipinas? It would be better if the companies and the government ay dapat muna mag focus like I said several times already in making the country more develop kasi yung technology like digital payments will be coming along with the modernization of the country kasi dito na kusa mag ma-migrate yung mga tao or makakapag-adapt sa magiging surroundings nila in the future.

Kung sa big businesses, well they are cashless. But when we say as the whole country, hindi lahat kayang iadapt dahil sa maraming dahilan like speed ng internet, electrical problems, uncivilized areas, and also sa mga small businesses like mga sari sari store, nasa tyangge, mga sidewalk vendors, maging mga karinderya.

I think bitcoin must have a proper education curriculum in order to spread to the students about it for better understanding. If not, even a full subject included in different business courses which are related in financial aspect and calculation. Although in other country they already included it on their subjects but much better if all school all over the world will have this course or subjects. It will help for the awareness of students in digital currency and on how to use blockchain technology.

Indeed my friend. Tangible things such as paper money, coins, golds, etc. are might be infected with the virus issue as of today. For the safety of all, online currency are most needed. Online transactions are needed to be secured. Not only for business purposes, but even a student shoul really be aware of this system.

Early last year I presume, a small boy of 11 years old made a book about bitcoin: https://www.[Suspicious link removed]s/www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/amp/2018/02/25/11-year-old-andrew-courey-wrote-a-book-on-bitcoin.html Which in other hand I believe people around the globe are getting familiar in crypto-currency. What we should face now its the younger generation coming, just like the little boy who wrote about bitcoin by giving them this opportunity I believe learning or knowing about cryptocurrency will go a long way.

Interesting fact. That is why schools in this new era should include in in their curriculum.

maybe you missed a little information about cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, if you take a little time to search about Bitcoin, I think the question has been answered and done a long time ago by many educational universities in the world, for example, Britain, Russia etc.

Well, I'm not saying to be some schools, I'm emphasizing to be taught in schools. Since you were saying that it's been almost many years passed teaching this bitcoin, but why not all schools are involved to this teachings? If we are making bitcoin to go on progress, then we should let most of new students understand the flow of this from basic upto the level they wanted to. This is investment and we need to outgrow our investment to these young investor.

There's been this big news that France included cryptocurrencies and blockchain into the official school curriculum. There won't be a whole subject dedicated to it, of course, but there will be some lessons as a part of Economics (and perhaps Computer Science, I am not sure). Moreover, some universities offer courses in crypto and blockchain. Just recently I found about a couple of them in my country (one listed in an online profile, another mentioned by a person who claims to know the guy to teaches it). So while slowly, Bitcoin starts to get attention from the educational system, which is definitely a good and necessary thing.
[/quote]

That will be I think the first move to introduce this bitcoin to these innocent young people. Even the government declines this plan, you cannot under estimate the curiosity of millenials especially in online monetary system.

I found this site what you were saying about France. Great job to their country.

I do not think that for the study of cryptocurrencies it is necessary to allocate some new subject in schools. I think that it is better if it will be like a course for example in computer science, probably there it will be much more harmonious and appropriate.

But remember that not only those who studied computer science are doing bitcoins today. We are in the age of computer, and hereby, we need to also upgrade the learning of educators.
