Re: BITSTAMP SEPA account "no transfer" countries/banks' list (upd 2014-02-24)

I got the 6 questions on my last withdrawal of only 500 euro.
However that withdrawal took me over 10K in total withdrawals since I opened the account so I assume that was the trigger that was hit.
However its now been over 2.5 days since I answered and I've heard nothing back yet.
How long does it usually take Bitstamp to send the money through once you've actually sent them back the info?

This has happened to me numerous times over the past few weeks and its simply that the site cannot handle the amount of traffic hitting it.
In all cases it has come back after a while.
It usually happens around the same time that China wakes up.
The error message is a bit frightening but I think thats a default message from Incapsula and not from Bitstamp itself.

I'm just messing about with the miner code and I was wondering, how would I put a specific message into the coinbase if i manage to mine a block?

I can never understand companies that give you a product, and then penalise you if you use it to its full capacity.

if you dont want someone using 8 CPUs at 100% then dont bloody well give them 8 cpus in the first place!!! Smiley
You mean like renting a car and taking it to a superspeedway so you can drive 150+mph?

Not really the same thing.
If you rent a car it usually stipulates that you have to use it within the bounds of the law and NOT take it to a superspeedway and drive 150+mph.

But in this case you are being charged for 8 cpus, but then get kicked off the service if you use the 8 CPUs.
On Amazon AWS you buy an 8 CPU instance, you get to use all 8 at 100%
Same on Windows Azure and Google Cloud.

Is the number of trades higher now? Last time I checked, the number was too small, so I couldn't compute a graph?

Do you mind me asking, what app is that screenshot from and where can I get it? Smiley

Yes, a number of folks over at mcxnow.com are complaining about the same problem. BTC withdrawal shows in the Accounts / History, but there is no TXid, and the BTC do not show at the destination.

Several folks have sent emails to vircurex support. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

No response from them yet.
I've done two transactions, the first one is stuck but the second one wient through fine so it looks like they are working on it.
Would be nice to know though Smiley

I have 50 vps running with chainsperday going from 1.18 to 0.9 and I find between 15 to 21 blocks per day.
They were not cloned so entropy is not a problem.

50 VPS with how many cores?  Digital Ocean?

If you have cloned instances running is there a way to fix the lack of entropy?
I've got 10 AWS instances running but not seen any blocks for 3 days and they were all launched from the same AMI.

Maybe you could read a few post above yours and get your answer ?

Yes, I am an idiot Smiley

No tricks. 500 8-core opteron servers running mikhaels hp8.
I simply took the best scripts from this thread and used some recommendations from members.

Do you know how much percentage of the network are you representing? 10%?

Minting about 8% of the daily XPM supply.

Aha!!!! Finally I find the reason why I'm getting so few blocks Smiley

I'm currently running a few EC2 instances but my luck is very hit and miss.

Are you submitting these results to the relevant organization which track them?  Would be great publicity for primecoin.

As soon as I figure out how to show them properly I will.
I have no idea how to actually show the numbers themselves Smiley

Hopefully this takes off because I can see Primecoin being the precursor of a whole new type of cryptocurrency, one that does useful work as well as making us rich Smiley
