If the 3060ti only consumes around 120-150w undervolted do you guys think it's safe to use this?
A Molex plug is specified to handle less than 150w passing through it, and a typical cable has 3-4 of these, with the plug closest to the psu end of the cable having the full load connected on the cable passing through it.
Theoretically possible if you connect a single molex plug each from two different cables (and have nothing ele connected to them) to the molex to pcie connector.
But, the molex to pcie connector like the one you linked above have poor construction and below gague wires and are very likely to melt/burn under a sustained load of over 80w.
Thank you, thats the kind of information I was looking for. I also see your point about the sustained load issue - but would you know how big of a risk i'd be taking if I just want to maximize the use of an old PSU and wait for it to burn/melt? I'd be fine for that to happen as i'd be near the rig and be able to monitor it's heat, i guess i'd like to know if a burned out adapter could break my GPU?

If it has no video output that is a huge downside. Crypto mining becomes unprofitable a your resale value will be almost zero.
Ah, sorry for the confusion, no there are no AMD 'mining cards' announced at this time. I've updated the post title to make it less confusing.
These new AMD GPUS are consumer grade with all the video HDMI / display ports outputs you'd expect to have.
The new AMD GPU specs are out! Although no mining hashrates yet, seems as usual, AMD cards are cheaper and more efficient.

A bit OT but, 25watts is pretty good.
I'm already using an Athlon 200GE which is described to idle at 35w but i'm pulling in 45w at the wall from CPU alone. I've only undervolted the cpu to just -0.1mv dynamic core voltage tho.

Anyway, did anyone here get to buy a 3080? I was refreshing Nvidia, Amazon, Newegg, Bestbuy, and Lazada like crazy. But all out of stock within seconds! Nvidia is good at creating extreme demand for their GPUs lol.

I've jotted down some quick napkin math. Hashrate isn't necessarily perfectly linear to total memory bandwidth, but it is a somewhat reasonable analogue to give round numbers.
RTX 3090* ~935-1008 GBps
RTX 3080* 760 GBps
RX 5700 XT - 480 GBps - 58 mh/s (eth)
RTX 2080ti - 616 GBps - 52 mh/s (eth)
GTX 1660 super - 336 GBps - 30 mh/s (eth)
RX 580 - 256 GBps - 30 mh/s (eth)
I think it would be somewhat reasonable to take a guess at 3080 hashrates in the 60s or low 70s and 3090 in the 90s. They are neither low tdp nor cheap, so to me this doesn't represent a value proposition. But ymmv.

If that's the case, it looks like sticking with RX 5700 XT would be better.
We can't really just linearly correlate hashing power like that. Factors such as the new GDDR6X compared to the previous GDDR5 versions could offer a boost to hash power and much more, or not. If i had to guess the hashing power boost should be much better.
Anyway i'm convinced to get a 3080 with the new price range. At least one.

Why would companies now sell for a lesser amount when people are buying it all up at $1200++? So logically: the demand influences the price - a huge part of demand came/comes from GPU mining farms.

With the recent price surge, i've turned on my old rigs for a quick profit with all the paid-off gear (glad i didn't sell everything!). So happy to see this legendary megathread is alive. I've been looking to build a power wall so i can turn on my rigs more often.

How much are you aiming to earn? If this is just a side hobby you want to setup and forget (while earning a small and steady profit), I would suggest going for 2nd hand GPUs.
With ASICs, you're pretty much all-in and the newer ones that actually that make a decent profit cost a lot more. If you go with the now dirt cheap 2nd hand GPUs you can easily turn a small profit while at the same time hedging on "resale-able" hardware because GPUs can still always be sold to gamers, whereas ASICs once they're old and useless are nothing more but doorstoppers.

Hi yahoo, about that, could i please request for a review of my profile/posts? I never complained about the cryptotalk campaign even though I simply posted 5 posts within the same hour (because i had nothing else better to do at the time) but no part of my posts were spam and were genuine attempts at conversation. I feel like the reporting was done a bit too over zealously in my case despite having non-spam quality posts. I'm confident you'll be satisfied to see my post history for years past has never been anything but genuine.

I think these altcoins are just following bitcoin's uptrend, as usual. As long as bitcoin's dominance is this high, i believe altcoins will always just be directly correlated to bitcoin's price. To back this up, all you need to do is look at the historical charts, only bitcoin has retained it's value (and even with some gains) compared to some altcoins out there that have lost almost 99% of their value.
I voted for DiceWheel.com because it sounds way more fun that the other choices. I feel like the other choices are "gambling terms" that want to take advantage of newbies, therefore i feel like it's easy to get scammed on those websites. With online gambling, i believe credibility and professionalism is an important factor if you want people to use your website so i'd get DiceWheel some proper branding before doing anything else.

Congrats on being an early adopter, although i hope you didn't buy in during the 2017 peak at $20k usd! In my opinion, thats a lot of coins and too much diversification into . altcoins. Adding to the difficulty of keeping track of all those coins, theres also the fact that most altcoins turn out to be scams.
If i were you i'd sell my alts and focus more on blue chip coins like BTC or ETH.

The "place" or term you are looking for is an "exchange," or cryptocurrency exchange. I'd suggest doing more research first and learning more about trading before actually signing up for one. Crypto trading is extremely volatile and usually unpredictable so you also have to understand that trading is a serious endeavour not to be taken lightly unless you are willing to loose your invested money.
