yep. that's why i did move the servers around so one is at europe and the second is in usa now. so that should help to distrubute the power.

Thanks, this is a good move for the well-being of the network.  We live and learn eh?  Wink

my first pool has just gone to another ddos protection provider, should be less latency/stales/rejects now.
so my pools are (1)EU- and (2)USA- based. choose wisely which one works best for you.
pool links are at my sig

Erun, make sure your pools are on the main blockchain.  I see the network hash rate is not accurate and the last time it wasn't accurate it was because of dontmine.me was forked.  So one of the large pools is forked again...I think.
yep i know that. but we don't know yet which for is winning so... and look what happened to that wdc.dontmine.me website lol

Oh okay, I didn't see any posts about it so I wanted to make sure at least you were aware.  And yeah, what happened to dontmine.me?
it says 'prepare to get orphaned' Cheesy i guess he's off now with the coins people mined there...

Please don't create FUD about other pool operators.  Paul is a trustworthy operator who has always made right with his miners on all the pools he has started.  The website is obviously experiencing some problems right now, yes, but the pool is accepting shares as far as I can tell.  Slamming other pool operators by accusing them of running off with coins is very unprofessional.  His pool has always had the "prepared to get orphaned" tagline in the banner.  It's a clever joke on the block time of the coin.
oh, sorry i didnt see that phrase there before. but when you see that first time it looks suspicious. didnt want to offend anyone and i'm sorry to Paul as well if he's just experiencing some kind of hardware/software failures. i know how bad that could be.

Thanks, just asking to think about what you say before you say it and the effect it can have on the community, especially given the size of the pools you are operating.  To be honest with you, of all the pools that miners have been the most concerned about, it has been yours.  Not trying to be too harsh, but your decision to split your pools into 2 and continue to accept new hash power on the same subnet was very irresponsible and bad for the blockchain so early in it's life.  This is why major pools on other coins open up their second servers on the other side of the world, to help spread the hash out and prevent forks.  One could argue that the forking problem we're concerned about isn't just due to the coin's nature, or the bad luck of the other pools, but an issue with the way you've ran your pool from the early age of the blockchain, with at times having up to 60-70% of the entire network hash parked.  It's very important for pool operators and miners to consider the consequences of their actions so early in a new coins existence.

So which pool is on the wrong fork now?  Something isn't adding up.

Network hashrate: 1220.99 MH/s

wdcpool.erundook.net:  Pool hashrate: 316.97 MH/s
wdcpool2.erundook.net:Pool hashrate: 460.52 MH/s
worldcoinpool.com:       Pool Hashrate: 866.57 MH/s

Just these 3 pools are already over the entire network hashrate?  This isn't taking into account dontmine.me and all the others.  Someone is running on a fork I think.

So can we report this guy as a scammer?

Already been reported here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=184908.0

And no action has been taken.  The pool operator hasn't even logged in for a month now, as of today.  Please post or bump the scam thread if you feel like he deserves a scammer tag.

There are currently a lot of scam pump and dump coin releases and other ripoff shenanigans going on as of late.  Please take some due diligence and research what you intend to get involved in.  Look at the developers behind the coins, their post histories, what others are saying.  Be highly skeptical of any coin or equipment announcements that take place in the Newbie thread by new members of the forum.  Use escrow for any transactions you wish to take part in on the forums.  I know this is all probably just common sense and posted everywhere, but after looking over the forums today and seeing all the new scams going on, just wanted to add another word of caution.

You're right, you are entitled to do as you want, but I would have to disagree that it is for the greater good.  All this Alt-coin pumping and scamming going on is terrible for the community.  Consider this, you're a new person to cryptocoins and heard something about it on the news.  You go to check it out, and you run into all the scams and ripoff artists that are rampaging around this community lately.  The saga about BFL, incompetency at MtGox, pool operators scamming, and now alt-coins made just to pump and dump on newbies.  Think you're going to decide to get involved?

Meh, just yesterday you were pumping up WDC.  How many old alt-coins you going to try and revive?  Scamcoin created by scammer = fail.  People, make sure to look into the backgrounds of those involved in what you choose to back before making a decision.  A look at someone's post history can be very enlightening.

Isn't this the coin that was started by Nicksasa like a year ago and failed?  Found this in another thread:

Quote
Liquidcoin sort-of
Nicksasa (creator) disappeared with no notice, BTC-E rejected LQC, the client is slightly buggy, it's extremely low value (it's still tradable on vircurex.com), and the blockchain itself has 1000's of orphans for each block.
I'm the guy running liquidcoin.org so it's pretty annoying when the actual creator disappearing, plus I also ran the blockexplorer on liquidcoin.org:2755 which is now broken since the blockchain keeps corrupting itself and ABE keeps breaking its own MySQL so I have to keep re-scanning the liquidcoin blockchains...so I gave up of course after the 100th time...
It's still sort-of alive, but buggy and unsupported by its own developer.

This is also the same guy that was operating notroll.in LTC pool and seems to have disappeared.  Does it have new developers now or are people just making mistakes of the past?

So are we ever going to get a response to this?  Nicksasa hasn't logged in for almost a month now and there are still people that never got paid back the 25% haircut he gave everyone.  Not to mention draining the hotwallet and making it extremely hard for new miners to get coins out.  One of the pool operators from one of the new alt-coins got a scammer tag within the day that he was caught trying to swindle people, yet here we are a month later and nothing on this one.

My earnings are also considerably lower than projections would have me expect.  Also, the auto-payment is not working, had to go in and manual payout what I'd accumulated for the last 6 hours.

I as well had LTC taken from my account back when I mined on this pool.
Is anything ever going to be done about this by the moderator of this board, ie. adding a scammer tag?  It was first started a week ago, and as Nicksasa still hasn't logged in since April 18th, I'd say it's a fair guess he has "skipped town" so to speak.

Is something wrong with the timer?  Swear I just watched it drop 2 hours in time in about 20 minutes.

People have been reporting problems with this pool for 10 days, yet people still mine at notroll.in and then act surprised when things go further down hill.  So you say that you weren't affected by the double pay bug or dry hot wallet problems, so you figured you'd still mine there?  Yeah, I have absolutely no sympathy, the writing has been on the wall for over a week.

@Nick: Using reaper, trying to switch to EU as suggested but it fails to connect every time but working fine with "eu." omitted . Suggestions?

Suggestions?  Read through this thread and realize you shouldn't be mining there.  That'd be my suggestion.

Great!  Glad to see the larger miners are finally getting their payouts, after only a week of complete silence from the pool operator.  Let's not forget that there is still the issue of the 25% clawback he made to pay himself back for the mistake he made.  I know the internet community can sometimes have a pretty short attention span, but I really hope people don't reward this kind of unethical and poor service by continuing to mine here.  From my understanding, this is the second time something like this has happened with this pool.  How many times are people going to allow themselves to get burned before moving to a more reputable pool?

Second time ?

Took me awhile to find the reference, man, your poor decisions have sure created a lot of posts on this forum.

So too busy with "real life" to deal with the business you have online, yet you were able to login several times a day to the forums, just chose to not post anything.  HINT: We can see when you login.  I hope you never start your own business in "real life" as if you run it with the same kind of ethics and attitude as you do this pool, it will surely fail.

Ofcourse I've logged in several times, that doesn't mean I have time to do anything.

Yeah, I call bullshit on this.  If you had a few minutes to login and read the forums, you could have taken the 10 seconds it would have taken to post something now and again to reassure people you were still around and taking care of the issue.
