It is a bit confusing with PPS. I can see my shares with PPLNS and will stick with it going forward. Thanks for your prompt email reply.

For an entire day when the pool has been finding blocks regularly? Have you seen zero unconfirmed rewards in your stats for 20 hours? Anyone?

You are mining PPS, not PPLNS. You are paid for every share submitted, not when we find a block! You are receiving rewards and they are IMMEDIATELY confirmed.

If you would rather mine PPLNS, please change your workers accordingly.

I have changed to PPLNS and am monitoring. I have submitted shared all day yesterday on PPS but didn´t see new payouts. I must be missing something... To me it is simple logic. I compared last days, same BTC difficulty, similar #blocks found, no shares after 3AM, very low daily payout. Conclusion: something wrong here.

Would you be able to pull all my shares from yesterday and the payouts and see how they compare with the previous days?

UNCONFIRMED REWARDS

This is not normal is it? There should always be something unconfirmed if you are mining, right?
There is nothing wrong with my miner so there must be something the matter with my account stats...

Unconfirmed Rewards = Rewards you've earned from blocks without full confirmation.  Depending on how long it's been since the pool last had a block, how many blocks have been found on the network since, and how long the pool leaves them in "unconfirmed", this number can in fact be 0.  Just based off what "Unconfirmed Rewards" have meant for every other pool I've seen it on over the last 3 years.

Something is not right here.

For the past week I get payout entries approx every 90-120 mins or so. Then all of a sudden after 3AM not one single payout entry? The pool has been discovering new blocks all along as I get emails about it every time and zero payouts in my queue?

Gigavps:

I created a csv file to try and understand this and there are only 2 entries for 10/30. Last one at 3:10:58 AM and nothing since then.

{ts '2013-10-30 00:41:02'}
{ts '2013-10-30 03:10:58'}

Something seems to have happened to my stats after 03:10:58 AM. I have had no shares since then although I never stopped mining except for about 5 minutes when I had to reboot to apply new firmware and then reverted to the previous firmware but that was in the afternoon.

Okay nothing work, so now i tried to do what someone else said with downgrade to .90, power cycle, run enable cores, power cycle, upgrade to fw. .96. So far I went through one cycle of many enable cores back from disable and then some going to disable again. SO, maybe it works now. I really hope this fixes it.

Also, i tried connecting only one hashboard at a time, and i got the same error of hashing going to 2 Mb/s after an enable core disable core cycle.

I hope this new try works.

Hey, go lie down and jack off. You're too stressed! It's still Sunday.  Grin

Seriously? Fucking about with bits of cardboard in a multi thousand rig that's days old?

Mine arrives needing shit like that they will get it back, I paid for a working miner capable of a certain hashrate and anything less is not acceptable.
IT should have been here a fucking week ago too.

Read the site, what they are selling. That is what you should get. Simple as that. They don't deliver that, they are at fault.
You fucking about with it makes it vulnerable to them claiming you are out of warranty. Be careful.

I started out pre-ordering from BFL then got my refund as I thought it was a racket. Next was a couple of asicminer blades (12GH/s each). Very intense maintenance but I enjoyed them but made no profit. They did deliver them fast although they were relatively expensive and not very advanced or as fast to keep up with the difficulty rise at the time.

Next an Avalon batch#3. Sofisticated and relatively advanced, nice equipment but I lost money on it with all the delays. Now KNC Jupiter. Already lost the race, I think. Unless the BTC keeps going steadily up I will likely sell it within a month and perhaps recover my overall 3000.00 loss so far. Still pondering what to do because of this recent rise on the BTC due to Asia which could be extremely meaningful for the future of BTC.

So, my conclusion is that there seems to be an inherent mathematical impossibility regarding ROI in BTC because we would need a quickly delivered, fast hashing, way ahead of current difficulty needs, reasonably priced unit we could quickly buy additional modules ahead of time to keep up with the steeper difficutly increases. However, only the people that get them first would have a good return, everyone else would still likely lose in BTC. In paper currency, it all depends. You may gain or lose depending on how the wind is blowing, if the USD doesn't crash before you make any return! So, enjoy the rollercoaster ride. No one knows what lies ahead of the next curve and it may derail at any time!

Someone said a while back that during the Eldorado gold rush those who sold the shovels made a fortune. Most people lost their skin.

Avenger, do you want to come clean about lying to everyone claiming you were a customer in this and the main thread?

I mean fair enough if you're doing it out of spite, or you have ties elsewhere, but at least be straight up and admit you have an axe to grind...

Good luck dealing with a sociopath! Best to ignore him.

Also, very interesting, from main KNC thread:

It is really easy for anyone to prove that the DETERMINING FACTOR into their purchase was the KNC statement posted on frontpage on their website that the orders will be delivered until Oct 15th. If KNC knew they would be late, that would mean they intentionally used false information in order to increase sells, which could probably incur really high fines or other penalties, going to criminal charges against company execs and their business licence being revoked. If they can prove they were really expecting to complete deliveries by Oct 15th and did all due diligence to accomplish that, they'd still have to compensate customers and/or fully refund their orders.
KNC is in no position to play fool now and they better choose their words VERY carefully when communicating next time with their customers.

All kinds of internet lawyers lurking aren't there? Only thing more prevalent than lawyers on forums, is assholes.

Look,  just before KNC the only really viable miner was Avalon batch#3. It took them 3 months to deliver with all their previous experience with batches 1 and 2 and when it finally arrived the hash rate was approx. 25% better than anticipated. Compare that with KNC with all the pros and cons and KNC is not doing so bad at all.

Reality check: if another company were to have produced a miner 2X-3X as fast for half the price and 1 month delivery from the time you pre-ordered, there would be so many units mining already the difficulty would be way, but way higher so likely about same profitability in the end! Many here are the asses following the carrot. I'm in for the fun and who knows perhaps make some if the dollar crashes in relation to the BTC and possibly gold as some of my BTC is going to gold. I really don't expect to become a millionaire but there is also a little hope, right? Part of the fun.

Hi Alex

Hows it going.

From what you know, is there any good reason why the Shipping is perceived to have stalled. My own personal order has been stuck at in-progress for a full 7 days.

Any Info would be appreciated.

;-)

From what I understand from having just asked Emilia, once whichever part of the UPS order file the manufacturing facility opens, in order of paid queue placement, you then enter part of the automated assembly queue, and are assigned the relevant number of boards with respect to the model of machine(s) you have ordered.

In progress means the manufacturing facility has accepted the order to enter the production queue, therefore it's entered the assembly queue itself. From then on it either becomes marked as shipped, or you get your tracking ID and shipped is updated upon receipt. That all becomes part of the UPS software's ability to update you.

Some have apparently had their orders marked as shipped after receiving their tracking number, or pick up email.

Bitcoinorama:

I paid an additional USD 136.00 to have expedited delivery. I believe it was to be same day or overnight. I got my tracking number this morning but UPS has not yet received the unit for shipping. Would you be able to clarify if the delivery of my will be same day or next day?

Thank you.

tomorrow will be a big day. let see what Kncminer can deliver on October 14 to know if they can deliver everythings by October 15 .

I seriously doubt it. I was really hoping they would have it all shipped by the 15th, as 'Orama mentioned that KNC is still very confident that they will finish all shipping by the 15th. I remember them also saying they were very confident they would start first day of shipping by the 30th of Sept, but that didn't happen. I wish they would just be honest about the dates. I would be ok with a few more days of delay, but give me some kind of idea of time frame.

They accomplished big things, congrats on that, but they seriously need better communications with the community. I think above everything else, that is what people are most upset about, I know I am.

The extra hash rate is great, for people who got the miners early (1st/2nd day received), but for the people that are getting it late, we are screwed. All that extra hashing rate is just raising the difficulty even higher for us. We are not likely to see ROI+. For all of our sake, I really hope the price of BTC raises a whole lot more (which it seems to be doing the past few days).

I sincerely hope that many here have long realized that there is no possible ROI on BTC with any miner, any configuration or any amount of miners per individual. The only possible ROI is in paper currency ***IF*** whatever your paper currency really takes a big dive which may not happen any time soon being that central banks of the G7 are all well aligned and most banks are robbing us to stay afloat.

So, best to mine as a drug to dope you from the nasty world you live in and keep alive some hope that whatever you amass in BTC may multiply a thousand fold in a not too distant future. I believe it is more fun and the chances are much better than playing any lottery. So enjoy and stop complaining because the long wait has become part of the deal. Hmmm, perhaps complaining is also part of the story so yeah, go on, complain if you wish... you've earned it!

But this
Oh and forget that "we're all busy" crap...they have a hell of a lot of money to hire a few temps for a week like any other very busy business does.
could be (and has been) said about this very forum we all use to support the BTC community.

And how many thousands of dollars have you paid to use this forum?
I haven't personally paid thousands of dollars to use KNCMiner, either. I was smart enough to purchase BTC directly and only invest what I EXPECTED to lose in a mining operation for the enjoyment of participation. This thread should be renamed "Angry about your choice of investment? Blame others here!"

Right on the bull nose!

I have pretty much made up my mind.  If i do not get shipping information on my order this week.  They will have two options,  ether offer some sort of compensation for delivering late, Or refund me if they do not, I will be contacting PayPal.  And if they do not let me refund.  then i will go straight to my credit cards.  Witch as Amex and discover.    And wont take no for a answer on a refund.    Witch I'm going to almost guarantee ill have to go this route unless they pull off a miracle .   Since my order was not placed until July 3rd.  So they got some ways to go to get to my order.   And i have already let KNC know this is my plans of last week.  Of course i have not received an e-mail back.  "First time they have never responded"   But shortly after my e-mail my order did go in to progress.  Along with everyone else.  Witch is another reason why i think this is a stall technique.

Don't forget to ask mommy!

Mine has changed to in progress as well, though I'm starting to think they just switched most orders to in progress to try and avoid refunds, hope in wrong though, we will see

I suspect they are behind schedule on their hosted scheme so this is likely where all their focus is. Any word anywhere from bitcoinorama? It would be very nice to get an update from him.

Probably a stupid question:
Is anyone's Jupiter actually working reliably at 450+GH/s?

Yes mine, stable at 500 Gh/s @ BTCguild. 0.94 firmware.

Mine too stable around 450 but they better f'n sort the firmware, before 0.94 mine was running 100GH/s faster.
I agree they have many , many issues with their firmware. Kind of unprofessional from this company.

Is 0.94 a must for stability or can you apply up to 0.93 for now until they fix the speed issue with 0.94?
