A liquid Indian exchange is the need of the hour, I believe there is a market for it in India. What surprises me is no one has set one up yet.

Vanilla flavored buying and selling cannot be regulated, but in the event of customers matching their own orders, etc, Extensive regulatory permissions are needed in India.

Also, there is no 100% secure solution as yet. So, it will have to be an Enterprise effort, probably Buttercoin?

Do these regulations apply to bitcoin as well? India hasn't banned/regulated any kind of bitcoin transactions yet.
Buttercoin seems to be an interesting project, hope it reaches India.

Hmm, last week that cap wasn't there but there is a reseller in the US called MinerSource which doesn't have a minimum limit.

If the difficulty reaches 5-6B with Black Arrow flooding the market, this will make a measly $5 a day. Sad
Might be better to just buy rather than mine in that case.

Is it a good idea to buy a 100GH/s asic that will ship in february

I missed the Bitcoin boat, even though I new about it in 2011, I didn't pay much attention to it. Bought a couple of coins at a peak, thinking of mining now. I found a chinese company selling 100 GH/s asics at a relatively cheap price but they will ship only in february. By that time there is a possibility that even 100 GH/s will be useless. So I wanted to ask if that would be the case or is it still worth buying asics?. I can't afford those ASICs that have > 1 TH/s though they might be cheaper on a per giga hash basis.

I saw that Black Arrow(based in China)  has a 100GH/s ASIC for around $350, but they say customs is the responsibility of the buyer. Folks who have bought miners before, how did you get it through customs and what is the duty you paid?

Ever since that article came up, the price for the instances nearly tripled. I set up like 5 instances only to realise that they had been terminated within an hour.

Trading on International exchanges.

Is it possible to trade on international bitcoin exchanges like Mt.Gox/Bitstamp/BTCChina etc with an Indian bank account. Which exchanges support this and how much of a hassle is the initial verification / fund transfer procedure. I know of buysellbitco.in which makes it really easy to purchase bitcoin in India, but it is more of an over the counter bitcoin seller without much liquidity. Would be great if anyone who had any experience with such exchanges could share their experience here.
