Historians say that Thomas Edison's teachers said he was too dumb to learn anything. Connecting with optic specialist and glass maker specialists (and maybe sand catcher specialists) of its time to optimize even more it's telescope characteristic. Sharing with navigators across the world to understand their feeling about the shape of the world when seeing other boats disappearing on the horizon.
