Re: Electrum with Legacy addresses being funded to it's xpub blockchain.com bc1q

I just uploaded the screenshots.  I used Electrum itself to create this wallet with a seed phrase and no problem importing the same to Electrum (or even Blue Wallet).  I have already tried Segwit amongst other 2s (total 3) and others to load active accounts in Electrum.  This wallet inside Electrum shows only Legacy and in fact can be funded and balance updated without any problem, but the problem is this bc1q address shown up in list of addresses at blockchain.com site with fund balance (was deposited by me earlier to this address)

Somehow blockchain.com is looking in a different derivation path than electrum is. What wallet did you use to create it? Some wallets have specific derivation methods.

I would completely drain the wallet first, send all your coins to another wallet.

Then, I would try to use https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ and look for different derivation paths.

Can't I do it with Electrum by configuring derivation paths manually (from iancoleman.io)?

Like I said earlier you actually importing a legacy address, the screenshot you uploaded is showing p2pkh as the script type which will definitely show the legacy address, I think you should actually re import the wallet again and specifically change the script to p2wpkh as I explained above, and it will show the Segwit addresses on that seed phrase.

Note that both legacy and other type of address cannot be imported or exist as one in a single wallet each has to be imported separately.

I already did that too but using the same seed phrase generate entirely different bech addresses, not amongst listed blockchain.com addresses.  Probably, it seems bitmover's suggestion is correct one.  I appreciate giving precious time to me.

The first question is which wallet was actually used to create that seed phrase if it wasn’t electrum then when you’re importing the seed phrase, there is an option button there you have to click Bip39. As a Bip39 seed phrase you will see two options where one shows the different address type that is where you choose native Segwit (p2wpkh) option and I think the wallet will be restored. Compare the address with the address on blockchain.com

If it is a private key you have as backup just go to create account use the import bitcoin address or private key button and then proceed by importing the private key but you must prephend it. For restoring bc1q simply import the private key with “p2wpkh:private key”

Electrum with Legacy addresses being funded to a bech address

Hello all,

I have been searching around but could not find a clear answer to this issue hoping someone here might have some insight.

I have an Electrum wallet that show only Legacy addresses (addresses starting with 1) inside.  I copied public key (starting with xpub) from it to blockchain.com to view the list of linked addresses and funded one bech address that starts with bc1q.  Does anyone have idea how to withdraw from this bc1q address?  I have already tried different derivation paths, but to no avail. Please do note public key starting with xpub in blockchain.info lists addresses starting with 1, 3 and bc1q though my Electrum wallet only shows Legacy addresses.

I am happy to clarify anything if needed. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or guidance.

What if I tell you I just installed original Wallet Guard extension yesterday and got scammed the same day? I just noticed the scammer has stolen funds from my Solano and Ether wallets, though I can't sure for sure if the extension is the actual thief, but it seems so
are you sure it is not a user error? I mean I am not saying that you are lying but when it comes to things like this the person is usually the one who made a mistake. anyway, it would be good if you could provide some evidence backing up your claims.

I installed it from using link https://www.walletguard.app/?allow=true.  Is the extension .app cause of the problem? or it is also ?allow=true

You have mentioned no-kyc, but I also read that exchange involved in the transaction may still choose to ask kyc and the transaction would still need kyc verification to successful pass through.

Isn't your competition with AtomicDEX? Yes I know, you are actually just facilitator of transaction whereas AtomicDEX is sort of decentralized exchange.  I also found AtomicDEX was one of the only rare exchanges providing Eth (or other popular chain coins or tokens like Monero, Solano, Doge, etc.) to legacy, segwit, taproot BTC options (and vice versa) conversions and now I just also found you an addition.  I haven't tried AtomicDex or Orangefren yet but it seems transacting on AtomicDex may not be as seamless as Ogangefren though.

Correct me if I am interpreting wrong or missing something very important here.

Our POW algo is Mike

Seems nanominer is not compatible with Mike algo.  What CPU miner would you suggest?

I am new to mining.  Did try CPU mining Monero with Nanominer.  It was mining but was not enough.

I have changed pool, address, algo at config file.  In fact, changed the minerpool, but showing fortune algo is not supported on running

No robot can perform surgery,

Sorry, robot can't be used 100% for surgery, but if you don't know robot can be used to make high-precision incision in surgeries.  I am somehow related to this field, and may create a separate thread sharing my experience of hospitals, doctors, staff and AI.

Aren't we all hypocrites?

Aren't we all hypocrites?

My opinion for myself, yes, I am.

Aren't you?

Before start explaining it by giving my example and questioning you same, let me tell you that I have no intention to shame anybody whether men or women.

Please just don't get offended or start shaming anybody because of their thinking in the matter.  I would request everybody to please be polite and be respectful and be on the topic on hypocrisy.

Let's start:

In my country I live in it is quite normal (if not totally absolutely normal) for men to be topless at own house's balconies, lawns, etc. and even many public spaces.  In fact, our film industry showcases men being topless as being heroic or something very quality content and most of public also sees these actors as such.  Even actor's family and public have no problem as such with it.  Most of men (even non-actors) doing these kind of things are considered normal.

But when it would come to actress doing these things, they will be shamed and hallmarked adult.  Why is that difference? When at the current century we are talking about being men and women being equal, but here just being opposite (at least in my country)?  Shouldn't we consider females doing these things normal, like what we think about men?

Well for me, being a father of daughters, I won't hesitate and would actually be proud of being one of the hypocrites (& I don't want females showing front top being normalized in the country, at least for now) and I am pretty sure I am not the only one who would be proud to be hypocrites!!

Start sharing your thoughts.  Again, I would request everybody please be respectful.

I don't know why no point to walletexplorer.com, though I found it to be among few only (if not single one) which list addresses by wallet's public key whether legacy, native segwit or nested segwit's, past transactions, balances, etc.  Tell me if I am wrong

So what? If USA can sanction anyone not favoring or serving USA's own interest, Russia can respond as it deemed fit for it's own interest. Superpowers will keep coming and exiting the door.  Last was USSR.  USA next in the line.  Even if USA remains a superpower, it will not always as superpowerful and fade with time
